Clinton G. Martin Park

Cornell-Van Nostrand House, also known as Schumacher House, is a historic home located at New Hyde Park in Nassau County, New York. It was moved to its present location on the grounds of Clinton G. Martin Park in 1952. It is a two-story, architecturally mixed wood-frame building containing an early 19th-century section, two mid-19th-century sections, and an early 20th-century addition. It is arranged in a "T" shaped plan on a concrete foundation with brick above grade. It features a single height portico with square Doric order columns and a simple entablature, built about 1850.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2007. The house is currently in a state of advanced disrepair, boarded up and exposed to the elements via numerous holes in the roof.

Buckley Country Day School is an independent, coeducational day school providing elementary and middle education to 330 students in grades toddler through eight in Roslyn, New York State, United States. Buckley was founded in 1923 and opened the doors of its first building in Great Neck to a class of twenty-three children. It was begun as a day school but for a period accepted boarding students in the middle grades. In 1955, as the school's enrollment continued to increase, Buckley moved to its current location in the Village of North Hills in Roslyn. The school serves students in grades 9 through 12 and is in the Great Neck school district. Great Neck South is one of three high schools in the Great Neck school district, the others being Great Neck North High School and Great Neck Village High School. Great Neck South offers its 1,222 students academic acceleration, along with special education classes for students with disabilities. The school opened in 1958 and was named Great Neck South High School until 2006.As of the 2021-22 school year, the school had an enrollment of 1,222 students and 114.75 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 10.65:1.
