Cornell-Van Nostrand House, also known as Schumacher House, is a historic home located at New Hyde Park in Nassau County, New York. It was moved to its present location on the grounds of Clinton G. Martin Park in 1952. It is a two-story, architecturally mixed wood-frame building containing an early 19th-century section, two mid-19th-century sections, and an early 20th-century addition. It is arranged in a "T" shaped plan on a concrete foundation with brick above grade. It features a single height portico with square Doric order columns and a simple entablature, built about 1850.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2007. The house is currently in a state of advanced disrepair, boarded up and exposed to the elements via numerous holes in the roof.

Buckley Country Day School is an independent, coeducational day school providing elementary and middle education to 330 students in grades toddler through eight in Roslyn, New York State, United States. Buckley was founded in 1923 and opened the doors of its first building in Great Neck to a class of twenty-three children. It was begun as a day school but for a period accepted boarding students in the middle grades. In 1955, as the school's enrollment continued to increase, Buckley moved to its current location in the Village of North Hills in Roslyn. It is operated on a not-for-profit basis by an appointed twenty-two-member Board of Trustees. It is chartered by the Board of Regents of the University of the State of New York. The school is accredited by the New York State Association of Independent Schools and is a member of the National Association of Independent Schools.

Although presently considered part of the Garden City Park CDP, the name continues to be widely-used and accepted both socially and politically – most notably by the Hillside Manor Post Office.

The Police Officer Joseph P. Olivieri Jr. Memorial Bridge is a highway overpass in North Hills in the Town of North Hempstead in Nassau County, on Long Island, in New York, United States. It carries New Hyde Park Road over the Long Island Expressway (Interstate 495). It is named in honor of Joseph P. Olivieri Jr., a police officer who was killed nearby on the line of duty.

North New Hyde Park is a hamlet and census-designated place (CDP) in the Town of North Hempstead in Nassau County, on Long Island, in New York, United States. The population was 14,899 at the 2010 census. Portions of the area are also known as Floral Park Centre and Lakeville Estates.

North Hills Country Club is a country club which was relocated in the 1960s to North Hills, New York, United States. The club was founded in 1927 at the current location of Douglaston Park. The golf course in North Hills was designed by Robert Trent Jones in 1961.

New Hyde Park Memorial High School is a six-year public high school in North New Hyde Park, New York, as part of the Sewanhaka Central High School District. Like the four other high schools in the district, the school is home to grades 7 through 12, a combined junior and senior high school. As of the 2016–2017 school year, the school had an enrollment of 1,756 students and 119.47 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student-teacher ratio of 14.7:1. There were 307 students (17.48% of enrollment) eligible for free lunch and 45 (2.56%) eligible for reduced-cost lunch. In terms of racial ethnicity, 36% were White, 43% were Asian, 16% were Hispanic, and 4% were Black.The school held its 50th Anniversary Celebration on Sunday, June 4, 2006. Herricks is a hamlet and census-designated place (CDP) in Nassau County, on Long Island, in New York, United States. The population was 4,295 at the 2010 census. It is an unincorporated area, and is located in the southern part of Town of North Hempstead.

Herricks High School is a four-year comprehensive public high school with 1450 students accredited by the New York State Board of Regents and the Middle States Association. The school is located in Searingtown, New York, 20 miles east of Manhattan. Dr. Tony Sinanis is the superintendent of Herricks Union Free School District. He succeeded Dr. Fino Celano after the 2021-2022 school year. This school was involved in one of the major Supreme Court rulings affecting prayer in public schools in 1959. This school also received the National Blue Ribbon school distinction in 2017. As of the 2014–15 school year, the school had an enrollment of 1,373 students and 94.2 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 14.6:1. There were 61 students (4.4% of enrollment) eligible for free lunch and 29 (2.1% of students) eligible for reduced-cost lunch.
