Caulfield Racecourse is one of Melbourne, Australia's best-known horse-racing tracks. Commonly known as "The Heath" by local racegoers, It is home to the Melbourne Racing Club. Horse-racing started there in 1859 on a bush track where the Melbourne Hunt Club met. A racecourse was then laid out on the site of the club's dog kennels. The Victoria Amateur Turf Club was then established in 1876 and the first Caulfield Cup race was run in 1879.The track has a triangular shaped layout, comprising three straights, 30-metre (98 ft) wide, with a total circumference of 2.08-kilometre (1.29 mi) and a finishing straight of 367-metre (1,204 ft). All turns have a 4% to 6% banking. Racing takes place in an anti-clockwise direction. The totally glassed in Rupert Clarke stand provides an uninterrupted view of the racecourse. Caulfield has about 25 race days each season and hosts some of the Australia's most famous and historic races including the Caulfield Cup, Caulfield Guineas, Blue Diamond Stakes, C F Orr Stakes, Oakleigh Plate, Underwood Stakes and Futurity Stakes. Caulfield Racecourse Reserve is located nine kilometres from the Melbourne CBD, on the boundary of Caulfield and Caulfield East in Melbourne's south eastern suburbs. The Reserve was set aside for three purposes, racing, recreation and a public park. Caulfield railway station is a commuter railway station on the northern boundary of Caulfield East, a suburb of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. Opened in 1879 and rebuilt from 1913 to 1914, the station complex is listed on the Victorian Heritage Register and is noted as an example of Federation Free Style architecture. It is named after the nearby suburb of Caulfield, located southwest of the station.The station consists of an island platform and two side platforms, all accessed by a pedestrian underpass. There are three principal station buildings located on the platforms, including a small brick building located on Platform 1, near the main platform building. This building was provided in 1974 and originally served as a ticket office for the Caulfield Racecourse, which is directly adjacent. The station complex also features a rare "horse platform" used when horses were delivered to the racecourse. The station is only partially accessible due to a steep access ramp.Caulfield railway station is served by the Pakenham, Cranbourne, Frankston, and Gippsland lines, which are part of the Melbourne railway network. The station also connects to the Route 3 tram service and routes 624 and 900 bus services. The journey to Flinders Street railway station is approximately 10 kilometres (6.2 mi) and takes 19 minutes.

Glen Eira College (GEC) is a co-educational, public secondary school located in Caulfield East, Victoria, Australia. It is situated on Booran road and backs on to Caulfield Racecourse Reserve. The current Booran Road school was originally Caulfield High School, which opened in 1962. Glen Eira College is a merger of Caulfield High School, Prahran High School, Caulfield Technical School, Murrumbeena High School and other state schools.In 2021, GEC was named The Age Schools that Excel winner among government schools in Melbourne’s south.

The campus comprises 13,400 students of which 52.8% are female and 57.1% of students are enrolled in undergraduate courses. Before its incorporation into Monash University, it was the Caulfield campus of Chisholm Institute of Technology, which was created from the union of Caulfield Institute of Technology and the State College of Victoria at Frankston.

The Australian Motor Sport Hall of Fame was established by the Confederation of Australian Motor Sport "to give recognition to those who have brought greatness to motor sport in all its many disciplines, over the entire history of the sport in Australia." The Hall of Fame is strongly supported by Motorcycling Australia (MA), Karting Australia, the Australian National Drag Racing Association (ANDRA), Speedway Australia, the Australian Grand Prix Corporation and V8 Supercars. The Hall of Fame will cover motor racing, motorcycling, rallying, off road, drag racing, karting and speedway.The Hall of Fame Committee comprises respected members of all disciplines within the sport plus experienced journalists with a strong knowledge of motor sport's history and its participants. In March 2016, there were 30 inaugural inductees into the Fame. In 2017 another 20 inductees were added to the HoF. Twenty-one new members were inducted in 2018. Thirteen have been named for 2019, including a few high-profile sprint car and Supercars champions.

Caulfield East is a suburb in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, 10 km south-east of Melbourne's Central Business District, located within the City of Glen Eira local government area. Glenhuntly railway station is located on the Frankston line in Victoria, Australia. It serves the south-eastern Melbourne suburb of Glen Huntly, and it opened on 19 December 1881 as Glen Huntly Road. It was renamed Glen Huntly on 1 September 1882, and renamed Glenhuntly on 20 April 1937.The station is located next to a tram square, one of only three remaining level crossings in Melbourne at which tram and train tracks intersect, along with their electrified overhead wires. A small signal box is located at the Flinders Street end of the tram square, which controls the tramway crossing.
