The Massa Courthouse (Italian: Palazzo di Giustizia di Massa, lit. 'Palace of Justice of Massa', also known as Palazzo degli Uffici Giudiziari) is a judicial complex located in Massa, Italy.

Massa Cathedral (Italian: Duomo di Massa; Cattedrale dei Santi Pietro e Francesco) is a Roman Catholic cathedral in Massa, Tuscany, central Italy. It is dedicated to Saint Cerbonius. Formerly a conventual church, it was declared the episcopal seat of the Diocese of Massa Carrara at its creation in 1822, and is now the seat of the bishop of Massa Carrara-Pontremoli.

Massa (Italian: [ˈmassa] ; Emilian: Masa) is a town and comune in Tuscany, central Italy, the administrative centre of the province of Massa and Carrara. It is located in the Frigido River Valley, near the Alpi Apuane, 5 km (3 mi) from the Tyrrhenian Sea.

The Duchy of Massa and Principality of Carrara (Italian: Ducato di Massa e Principato di Carrara) was a small state that controlled the towns of Massa and Carrara from 1473 until 1829.

The Diocese of Massa Carrara-Pontremoli (Latin: Dioecesis Massensis-Apuana) is a Latin diocese of the Catholic Church situated in north-western Tuscany, in the valley of the Frigido River. The city of Massa is on the south side of the river, 5 km (3 mi) from the Tyrrhenian Sea. The city of Carrara is 6 km (4 mi) north of Massa, on the Carrione River. The diocese is a suffragan of the Archdiocese of Pisa. The historical Diocese of Massa Carrara had its name changed in 1939 to Diocese of Apuania; and again in 1986 to Diocese of Massa. In 1988 it was united with the Diocese of Pontremoli.

The Malaspina Castle is located in Massa, Italy. It crowns the top of a rocky hill and dominates the wide underlying plain and part of the Tyrrhenian coast. From the 17th century the main purpose of the castle was military and it served as a prison until 1946. The castle was subsequently restored and reopened to the public.

Massa Centro railway station (Italian: Stazione di Massa Centro) serves the town and comune of Massa, in the region of Tuscany, central Italy. Opened in 1862, it forms part of the Pisa–La Spezia–Genoa railway. The station is currently managed by Rete Ferroviaria Italiana (RFI). However, the commercial area of the passenger building is managed by Centostazioni. Train services to and from the station are operated by Trenitalia. Each of these companies is a subsidiary of Ferrovie dello Stato (FS), Italy's state-owned rail company.

Stadio Gianpiero Vitali, also known as Stadio degli Oliveti is a multi-use stadium in Massa, Italy. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home ground of U.S. Massese 1919. The stadium holds 11,500 and was opened in 1960. In 2020 it was named after Giampiero Vitali, historic captain of U.S. Massese 1919 who, with his 245 continuous appearances (only league), holds the all-time attendance record with the Massese team.In the mid-2000s, the sports facility underwent renovation works. Further renovations were carried out in 2022 with the reconstruction of the stadium bleacher, coloring it in black and white and also designing the U.S. Massese 1919 company logo. The stadium is located near the center of the city of Massa, and in the period in which Massese played in Serie C, the Apuan derby, also known as the marble derby, was played between Massese and Carrarese. The stadium also hosted a training session of the Italy national team.

The Museo etnologico delle Apuane (Ethnological Museum) is an anthropological and ethnographical museum of the Apuan Alps, located in Massa, Tuscany, Italy.

Mount Brugiana is a 973-metre (3,192 ft) mountain on the border between the municipalities of Massa and Carrara, within the protected territory of the Apuan Alps Regional Natural Park.On the slopes of Mount Brugiana is the Park of Resistance, built to honor the memory of Apuan partisans who had settled on the mountain.

Apuania was a short-lived comune of the Kingdom of Italy, created in 1938 under the Fascist regime by merging the Tuscan cities of Massa and Carrara and the smaller town of Montignoso. The province of Massa-Carrara was accordingly renamed province of Apuania. Among the main supporters of this unified municipality were Fascist leaders Renato Ricci, from Carrara, and Osvaldo Sebastiani, from Massa. Apuania had an area of 181 square kilometres and population of 106,378 inhabitants (59,031 in Carrara, 41,819 in Massa, 5,528 in Montignoso), making up for over half of its province's overall population of 204,377; its motto was Ex tribus una (Latin: "From three, one"). The administrative seat was located in Carrara, the largest of the three merged towns. The municipality of Apuania was dissolved in 1946, after which Massa, Carrara and Montignoso were re-established as separate municipalities.

The Frigido is a short river in Tuscany, central Italy, whose course of 17 km is entirely included in the province of Massa-Carrara. It starts from two branches, one having its source in the Monte Sagro and Monte Rasore (Apuan Alps), the other near the village of Forno. After running into a deep valley in the Apuan Alps, it receives the waters of the Renara and Fosso d'Antona, and then flows in Massa before reaching the Ligurian Sea near Marina di Massa.
