Jurong West MRT station is a future elevated Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) station on the Jurong Region Line in Jurong West, Singapore.

The Jurong Police Division (or 'J' Division) is one of the seven land divisions of the Singapore Police Force. Jurong Division first came into existence as the ‘Rural West’ Division on 24 Sep 1965 and operated from a standalone building located at Bukit Panjang. As the communities in the west grew, police posts were built in Ama Keng, Mandai and Kranji. Following Singapore's independence, the western part of Singapore underwent rapid rural, industrial and urban development. From then on, the Rural West Division expanded to meet the challenges of policing a larger population. In 1976, it shifted to the Taman Jurong Police Station at Yung Ho Road. In 1980, the Division shifted to Corporation Road and became known as the Jurong Police Division. On 5 May 2002, Jurong Police Division moved to its current premises at No. 2 Jurong West Ave 5 which became the Division's headquarters. Jurong Division serves a residential population of over 730,000 residents which covers a stretch of land from Boon Lay and Tuas in the west to areas like Bukit Batok, Choa Chu Kang and Bukit Panjang in the northwest. Besides residential estates, it also covers major industrial areas and has a long coastal area lined with over 100 sea-fronting companies.

Bahar Junction MRT station is a future elevated Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) station in Jurong West, Singapore. Serving the Jurong Region line (JRL), the station will be located at the junction of Jurong West Avenue 4 and Jurong West Street 75. Bahar Junction station was first announced along with the 24 JRL stations in May 2018. The station is slated to open in 2027 along with JRL Stage 1. Bahar Junction station will have two platforms to serve three branches converging at this station.

Westwood Secondary School (WWSS) (simplified Chinese: 维林中学; traditional Chinese: 維林中學; pinyin: Wéi lín zhōngxué) is a co-educational government secondary school in Jurong West, Singapore. It was founded on 2 January 2000, the integrated government school offers secondary education under three academic streams, which lead up to the Singapore-Cambridge GCE Ordinary Level or the Singapore-Cambridge GCE Normal Level examination.

Fico Sports Hub was a private 6-hectare recreation centre located at 2 Jurong West St 25, Singapore, then the largest Futsal (5-a-side indoor football) arena in Asia and the first in Asia with water football facilities, which closed its doors to customers on 4 April 2011.[1] A notable architectural feature of Fico Sports Hub is its white tensile membrane roof, which is designed to keep out the heat and rain over its eight futsal pitches, while embracing an "open" concept, as instead of sidewalls, with nets used to surround the pitches to allow the flow of natural breeze. The recreation centre was used for water football (football in ankle-deep water), beach volleyball and beach football activities. The beach volleyball and beach football courts use sand that was specially imported for the Swatch FIVB World Tour '2007 tournament in Sentosa and the soccer court was an inflatable water soccer court bought from overseas.

Gek Poh MRT station is a future elevated Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) station along the Jurong Region line in Jurong West, Singapore.

On 19 July 2021, a thirteen-year old Secondary One male student named Ethan Hun Ze Kai (Chinese: 韩喆凯; pinyin: Hán Zhékǎi) was struck to death with an axe at River Valley High School in Boon Lay, Singapore, in an incident which was reportedly unprecedented in the history of Singapore. The killer was a sixteen-year-old Secondary Four male student, who was arrested for Hun's murder shortly afterwards. The boy was initially charged with murdering Hun; his charge was eventually reduced to manslaughter on the grounds of diminished responsibility, and he was thus sentenced to jail for 16 years on 1 December 2023.

River Valley High School (RVHS) is a co-educational government autonomous secondary school in Boon Lay, Singapore. Founded in 1956 and originally located in River Valley, it is one of the Special Assistance Plan schools designated by the Ministry of Education in recognition of its heritage and excellence in education. Since 2006, the school has been running a six-year Integrated Programme that allows students to skip the Singapore-Cambridge GCE Ordinary Level examinations and proceed to sit for the Singapore-Cambridge GCE Advanced Level examinations at the end of Year 6.

Boon Lay (simplified Chinese: 文礼; traditional Chinese: 文禮, Tamil: பூன் லே) is a neighbourhood located in the town of Jurong West in the West Region of Singapore. Its borders very roughly correspond to the URA subzone of Boon Lay Place, situated within the Jurong West Planning Area.The subzone was named after Chew Boon Lay (周文禮), a prominent businessman in the late 19th century and early 20th century who owned the land where the precinct stands. When a requisition of 1.012 km2 (0.391 sq mi) of land from his estate was done by the war department of the then colonial government of Singapore, it led to the growth of Boon Lay Village in the 1940s, with a population of about 420 in the early 1960s. Boon Lay Place had earthworks begun in 1969 and had their HDB flats built since 1974. The subzone is a division of West Coast GRC, under the management of West Coast Town Council. The people living there are represented by member of parliament Desmond Lee.

Jurong West Public Library is a public library in Jurong West, Singapore. It is co-located with The Frontier Community Club at Jurong West Community Building. The nearest MRT station is Boon Lay. It is the first public library owned by the National Library Board to be located inside a mall.

Boon Lay Bus Interchange is an air-conditioned bus interchange located in Jurong West Central, in the West Region of Singapore. It is situated within Jurong Point and integrated with the nearby Boon Lay MRT station on the East–West line. This interchange serves a variety of passengers, including those from Nanyang Technological University, Jurong Industrial Estate and Tuas Industrial Estate. The interchange has been among the largest and busiest bus interchanges in Singapore, handling 31 services in the past until a few services were amended to the newer Joo Koon Bus Interchange in 2015.

Jurong Point (Chinese:裕廊坊) is a large regional shopping mall in the precinct of Jurong West Central in Jurong West, Singapore. It is next to Boon Lay MRT station and Boon Lay Bus Interchange. It is currently the largest shopping mall in Singapore in terms of number of tenants and the largest in western Singapore.
