The Warsaw meridian (Polish: południk warszawski) is a meridian line running through Warsaw. The local mean time at the meridian was known as Warsaw Mean Time. Theatre Square (Polish: plac Teatralny) is a major square in the Śródmieście district of Warsaw, Poland. It spans from the Great Theatre building to the Senatorska Street. The origins of the square date back to the beginning of the 19th century, when a small square was established in 1818. From 1825 to 1832 the Great Theatre building was constructed. When the city administration was relocated to the Jabłonowski Palace, the square became a centre of city life. Various patriotic demonstrations took place there, including at the time of the failed January Uprising and the Revolution of 1905.In September 1939, the civilian defense of the city was located in the city hall. During the Warsaw Uprising of 1944 the square witnessed heavy fighting between the Nazi German soldiers and the Home Army partisans. Most of the surrounding buildings were heavily damaged or completely destroyed. After the war several buildings were restored, excluding the pre-war city hall with its notable clock tower. It was rebuilt according to the original architectural plans only in the late 1990s.

The Auditorium Maximum - is a Classicist building located in the University of Warsaw's campus at 26/28 Krakowskie Przedmieście Street in Warsaw, Poland.The Auditorium Maximum was built in the nineteen-thirties, designed by architect Franciszek Eychorn. During World War II, the building was occupied and used for the storage of armaments by the Germans. The building suffered extensive damage during the war. Between 1951 and 1955 the building was reconstructed, with a slightly modified architectural style. In 2007, the building underwent extensive renovation works, as part of more extensive works to revitalise the whole central campus.

The Blank Palace (Polish: Pałac Blanka) is a historic building on ulica Senatorska in Warsaw, Poland. The palace was built by architect Szymon Bogumił Zug between 1762 and 1764 for Filip Nereusz Szaniawski. In 1777, ownership was transferred to a Warsaw banker of French descent, Piotr Blank.In the interwar period, the palace served as the residence of the Mayor of Warsaw, Stefan Starzyński. It was heavily damaged during the 1944 Warsaw Uprising and was rebuilt between 1947 and 1949.The Blank Palace now houses the Ministry of Sport and Tourism.

The Deanery of St. John's Cathedral, Warsaw (Polish: Pałac Dziekana w Warszawie) is a historic building located on ulica Dziekania (Deanery Street) in the Old Town of Warsaw, Poland. Since 2016 the Deanery has been the home of the Museum of the Archdiocese of Warsaw.

The Załuski Library (Polish: Biblioteka Załuskich, Latin: Bibliotheca Zalusciana) established in Warsaw in 1747 by Józef Andrzej Załuski and his brother, Andrzej Stanisław Załuski, both Roman Catholic bishops, was a public library nationalized and renamed upon its founders' death into the Załuski Library of the Republic (Polish: Biblioteka Rzeczypospolitej Załuskich) which existed until the final demise of Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth in the Third Partition of Poland in 1795.

The Monument to the Heroes of Warsaw, also known as the Warsaw Nike, is a statue located at the intersection of Nowy Przejazd (the New By-pass) and Aleja Solidarności (Solidarity Avenue) in Warsaw. The monument commemorates all those who died in the city in 1939 to 1945, including participants in the defense of Warsaw in September 1939, the participants of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising and the Warsaw Uprising, and the victims of German terror in the occupied capital.

The Grand Theatre in Warsaw (Polish: Teatr Wielki w Warszawie), known in full as the Grand Theatre–National Opera, is a theatre and opera complex situated on the historic Theatre Square in central Warsaw, Poland. The Warsaw Grand Theatre is home to the Polish National Ballet and is one of the largest theatrical venues in the world, with a seating capacity of over 2,000.The Warsaw Grand Theatre was inaugurated on 24 February 1833 with a production of Rossini's The Barber of Seville. After the building's bombing and near-complete destruction in World War II, it was rebuilt and reopened on 19 November 1965 after having been closed for over twenty years. The original building was designed in a neoclassical style by architects Antonio Corazzi and Chrystian Piotr Aigner, and later restored by Bohdan Pniewski.

The Theatre Museum in Warsaw is gathering collections related to the history of Polish and foreign theatres.In 1957-1966 it operated as a branch of the Warsaw Historical Museum. Since 1965 it has been operating in the building and structure of the Grand Theatre, in interiors designed by Mieczysław Piprek. The museum was co-founded by Ewa Jeglińska.The museum conducts activities related to the collection and development, exhibition and educational activities. The museum's collection consists of tens of thousands of objects (both museology and archives) and is divided into a number of departments: sculpture, painting, drawing and graphic arts, souvenirs (related to outstanding people of the theatre), stage designs, costumes, photographs, records, manuscripts and documents, posters, programs, compact prints, continuous prints, notes, negatives. The museum also has several thematic archives: Archives of the Polish Theatre, Leon Schiller, Juliusz Osterwa, Jacek Woszczerowicz, Tadeusz Łomnicki, and the STS Theatre Archives.
