Eureka Tower is a 297.3 m (975 ft) skyscraper located in the Southbank precinct of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. Construction began in August 2002 and the exterior was completed on 1 June 2006. The plaza was finished in June 2006 and the building was officially opened on 11 October 2006. The project was designed by Melbourne architectural firm Fender Katsalidis Architects and was built by Grocon (Grollo Australia). The developer of the tower was Eureka Tower Pty Ltd, a joint venture consisting of Daniel Grollo (Grocon), investor Tab Fried and one of the Tower's architects Nonda Katsalidis. It was the world's tallest residential tower when measured to its highest floor, until surpassed by Ocean Heights and the HHHR Tower in Dubai. From 2006 to 2019, it was the tallest building in Melbourne, until the topping out of Australia 108. It is currently the third tallest building in Australia, behind the Q1 in Queensland and Australia 108, as well as the second tallest to roof (excluding spire) behind the latter skyscraper. As of 2016 it was the 15th tallest residential building in the world.

Carlton & United Breweries (CUB) is an Australian brewing company based in Melbourne and owned by Japanese conglomerate Asahi Breweries. Its notable brands include Victoria Bitter, Carlton Draught, Foster's Lager, Great Northern, Resch's, Pure Blonde and Melbourne Bitter. CUB was established in 1907 as a merger of six existing breweries and became a public company in 1913. It first expanded outside Victoria in 1931 and acquired a number of other brewing companies over the following decades. In 1983 it became a wholly owned subsidiary of Elders IXL and CUB was delisted from the stock exchange. In 1990, Elders IXL was renamed Foster's Group, and in July 2004, Fosters Group changed its name to Carlton & United Beverages. In February 2009, CUB announced the decision to separate the Australian Wine division from the Australian Beer, Cider & Spirits (BCS) division, and rename BCS to Carlton & United Breweries.In December 2011, American multinational SABMiller acquired Foster's Group, and took over ownership of Carlton & United Breweries as part of the acquisition. Subsequently in October 2016, CUB was included in the purchase of SABMiller by Anheuser-Busch InBev. SABMiller ceased trading on global stock markets and as a result, Carlton & United was then owned by Anheuser-Busch InBev.In July 2019, Asahi Breweries agreed to purchase CUB, with the Australian Competition & Consumer Commission and Foreign Investment Review Board approving the deal in May 2020.

The Australian Ballet School was founded in 1964 as the primary training facility for The Australian Ballet by Dame Margaret Scott. It is part of the Australian Ballet Centre, which is located in the Melbourne Arts Precinct, Southbank in Melbourne, Victoria. It is a member of the Australian Roundtable for Arts Training Excellence.

The Melbourne Glaciarium (also known as the Glaci) opened in 1906, the second indoor ice skating facility built in Australia after the Adelaide Glaciarium. The Glaci hosted the first game of ice hockey played in Australia and was the home of the first ice hockey association in Australia. At the time the Melbourne Glaciarium was opened, it was the 3rd largest indoor ice rink in the world. The rink closed in 1957 and was soon demolished.

The Melbourne Arts Precinct is a series of galleries, performing arts venues and spaces in Melbourne, Victoria, in Australia. The precinct in Southbank is centred on, and near, St Kilda Road. It differs from the East End Theatre District in the city centre, as most of the galleries and venues in the precinct are publicly funded.Administrative offices, broadcast studios, schools and training institutions of many arts organisations are also located in the precinct. In 2008, it was announced by the Government of Victoria the precinct would receive a A$128 million upgrade, with the major refurbishment of Hamer Hall as its centrepiece. The combined Melbourne Recital Centre and MTC Theatre complex, which opened in February 2009, won the Moore Stephens Award for Public Buildings at the Property Council of Australia - the country's highest award for a public building.In 2014, the Victorian government released the Melbourne Arts Precinct Blueprint, initiated by the former state Premier and Minister for the Arts Ted Ballieu for a cost of $900,000 (given by both federal and state government). Led by Creative Victoria, its intention was to establish a vision for the precinct along with prioritising any future development.

Australia 108 (previously 70 Southbank Boulevard) is a residential supertall skyscraper in the Southbank precinct of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. Having officially topped out in June 2020, it became the tallest building in Australia by roof height, surpassing the Eureka Tower, and the second-tallest building in Australia by full height, surpassed by Q1 Tower.The World Class Land development project consists of a 316.7 m (1,039 ft) tall apartment building with 1,105 apartments over 100 floors. Construction of the revised Fender Katsalidis Architects–design by Brookfield Multiplex commenced in 2015, and was completed in 2020. Prior to its current form, plans were initially for a 226 m (741 ft) tall residential building with 72 floors. In 2012, these plans were revised and resubmitted in favour of a design with a height of 388 metres (1,273 feet) and 108 storeys. This proposal was approved by the State Government in March 2013; however, it was shelved four months later after it struggled to meet conditions imposed by government authorities including VicRoads and the Civil Aviation Safety Authority.

STH BNK by Beulah is a dual skyscraper development proposed for Melbourne developed by Beulah and designed by architectural firms UNStudio and Cox Architecture. The site currently hosts a BMW dealership.

The Evan Walker Bridge is a bicycle and pedestrian bridge over the Yarra River between Southbank and the central business district in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. Linking Flinders Street station and the Southgate entertainment precinct, the bridge offers views of the Yarra River and Melbourne skyline, making it a popular spot for photography. Constructed in 1992 and formerly known as the Southbank Pedestrian Bridge, in 2015 the Evan Walker Bridge was renamed in honour of the late Evan Walker, a former planning minister who was integral to the development of Melbourne's Southbank precinct.Between 2012 and 2015 it was known locally as Love Lock Bridge due to thousands of padlocks being attached to the railings.The bridge is a steel arch structure which is maintained by the City of Melbourne LGA.

Melbourne Recital Centre is a venue for live music in Melbourne and welcomes over 200,000 visitors each year. The organisation programs and presents more than 500 concerts and events a year across diverse range of musical genres including classical and chamber, contemporary, pop, folk, rock, electronica, indie, jazz, cabaret and world music. It was opened in 2009, as part of the Melbourne Recital Centre and Melbourne Theatre Company Southbank Theatre complex designed by Ashton Raggat McDougall, and is located on the corner of Southbank Boulevard and Sturt Street in the Melbourne Arts Precinct, Southbank. It is Melbourne's second largest auditorium for classical music (after Hamer Hall in Arts Centre Melbourne).

The Australian Music Vault is a free permanent exhibition that showcases past and present Australian contemporary music.It is located in the central Melbourne suburb of Southbank, within the Arts Centre Melbourne.Australian Music Vault exhibits physical objects such as costumes, lyric books, and tour paraphernalia from the Arts Centre Melbourne's Australian Performing Arts Collection. Exhibits include material from artists such as Baker Boy, Mo’Ju, Missy Higgins, Chrissy Amphlett, AC/DC, Olivia Newton-John, Archie Roach, and Kylie Minogue, as well as interactive digital activities. Recorded interviews with musicians and key music industry promoters are also displayed.It was developed by Arts Centre Melbourne in consultation with the music industry.Patrons of the Australian Music Vault include Kylie Minogue, Tina Arena, Ian “Molly” Meldrum, Archie Roach and Michael Gudinski.Founded in 2017, it reached 1 million visitors within two years of opening. It was Australia's first physical "hall of fame" for music.It has been applauded for including a number of Indigenous performers such as Yothu Yindi, No Fixed Address, Archie Roach, and women artists including Chrissie Amphlett, Little Patti, Judith Durham and Ngaiire.

Hamer Hall (formerly the Melbourne Concert Hall) is a 2,466 seat concert hall, the largest indoor venue at Arts Centre Melbourne, used for orchestra and contemporary music performances. It was opened in 1982 and was later renamed Hamer Hall in honour of Sir Rupert Hamer (the 39th Premier of Victoria) shortly after his death in 2004.
