The Llangernyw Yew ([ɬanˈɡɛrnɨu] ) is an ancient yew (Taxus baccata) in the village of Llangernyw, Conwy, Wales. The tree is fragmented and its core part has been lost, leaving several enormous offshoots. The girth of the tree at the ground level is 10.75 m (35.3 ft).

Llangernyw ([ɬanˈgɛrnɨ̞u] ) is a rural, mostly Welsh-speaking, village and community in Conwy County Borough, North Wales.

Conwy (Conway prior to 1983) was an electoral constituency represented in the House of Commons of the Parliament of the United Kingdom. It returned one Member of Parliament (MP) by the single-member district plurality (also known as first-past-the-post) system of voting. The constituency was created for the 1950 general election, and abolished for the 2010 general election.

Conwy was a constituency of the National Assembly for Wales from 1999 to 2007. It elected one Assembly Member by the first past the post method of election. It was also one of nine constituencies in the North Wales electoral region, which elected four additional members, in addition to nine constituency members, to produce a degree of proportional representation for the region as a whole.

Pandy Tudur is a village in Conwy county borough, in the north-west of Wales, and lies some 5 miles NE of Llanrwst.

St John's Church, Trofarth, is a redundant church standing in an isolated position in Conwy County Borough, Wales (grid reference SH857718). It was designated as a Grade II listed building on 2 July 1998.It was built in 1873 as an Anglican church to a design by Sir George Gilbert Scott and consecrated on 19 June that year. A small church with lancet windows, it consisted of a nave, a small chancel, a south porch and it had a bellcote at the west end. It was restored in 1899 by the Chester firm of architects, Douglas and Fordham, who added a vestry at the northeast and an organ chamber, and increased the size of the chancel by extending it into the nave. At the same time, the internal plaster was removed and replaced by a veneer of limestone, and furnishings designed by Douglas were added.In January 2009 permission was obtained for the building to be converted for domestic use.There is a churchyard at the west side of the redundant church. Burials include: Kyffin Roberts of Pentre, Betws yn Rhos - died in 1900. Robert Evans and his wife Anne - of Pandu, Llangernyw - died in 1890.

Moelfre Uchaf is a hill in the borough of Conwy, North Wales, 5 miles (8.0 km) south-east of Colwyn Bay and 1.5 mi (2.4 km) south-west of Betws-yn-Rhos. It is 396 m (1,299 ft) above sea level. A trigpoint is on the summit.

Llyn Ty'n y Llyn is a Site of Special Scientific Interest in the preserved county of Clwyd, north Wales.

Gwytherin is a village in Conwy county borough, Wales. It lies in a small valley through which the River Cledwen flows and has been winner of 'Best Kept Village' on four occasions. Its church is dedicated to Saint Winefrid (Welsh: Gwenfrewy gwenfrewi; Medieval Latin: Winefrida). In the centre of the village opposite the Lion Inn is the Church of St Winifred which was built and dedicated to her in 1869. The church is believed to have originated in the mid-600s CE up by Prince Eleri who then went on to set up a double monastery in the village. He was the Abbot to the monks, and his cousin's daughter, St. Gwenffrewi, was the Abbess to the nuns. In the churchyard are three ancient yew trees and a row of four ancient standing stones approximately one metre high and aligned roughly east to west. The first stone carries a carving and what appears to be a 'W'. The church is one of the major places visited on the North Wales Pilgrims Way.

Coed Coch, in Dolwen, Conwy, Wales, is a large 19th-century mansion in the neoclassical style, designed by the architect Henry Hakewill. The building is Grade II* listed, as is its 18th- and 19th-century parkland.The mansion is of ashlar, originally with two matching, three-bay elevations. At a diagonal, was a "remarkable" Greek Doric portico, with pediment. This was removed in the early 20th century. The main elliptical staircase remains within a rotunda and lit by a small lantern dome. The original parkland "survives in its entirety".The Coed Coch estate came to the Wynne family when the Rev. Richard Wynne married Gaynor, daughter and heiress of John Wynne of Coed Coch, in the parish of Betws yn Rhos. Their grandson, John Lloyd Wynne (1776–1887) undertook the enlargement of the house and estate in the early 19th century. The estate then descended in the male line until the death in World War I of Edward Henry John Wynne (1893–1916). The estate was inherited by Margaret Broderick, his half-sister, who ran a famous Welsh Mountain Pony stud there that continued under her descendants until its sale in 1978.From the 1940s until the 1970s, the house was a boys' preparatory school, Heronwater School, under the headmastership of Keith Gaskell. In 1996 the furniture from the library, commissioned by John Lloyd Wynne from Gillows of Lancaster in 1806–1807, was bought by the Museum of Welsh Life in Cardiff; it can now be seen in the library of St Fagans Castle.

Moel Maelogan (shown on O.S. maps as 'Maelogen', and also sometimes spelled 'Moelogan' and 'Mælogan') is a hill (summit height 424m) on the western edge of Mynydd Hiraethog (also known as the Denbigh Moors) in north Wales, and overlooking the Conwy Valley. It is known mostly as the general location of a wind farm. The initial three turbines were erected in 2002, and started generating in January 2003; each turbine is capable of producing 1300 kW. This scheme marked erection of the UK wind industry's 1000th turbine and was initially welcomed, as it had been set up by three local farmers to boost their incomes, under the name of Cwmni Gwynt Teg ("Fair Wind Company"). After commissioning, however, it was opposed by some, not least because, although not located in the Snowdonia National Park itself, the turbines are visible from many parts of it. Of the three turbines, two were owned and operated by the local farming co-operative; the third was owned and operated by Energiekontor UK Ltd, the UK subsidiary of the German wind development company Energiekontor AG, which was instrumental in the finance and construction of the wind farm. The electricity produced goes to the local Llanrwst sub-station 4.5 km away, and is sold to the Non-Fossil Purchasing Agency. Under the project name of "Ail Wynt" (Second Wind), Cwmni Gwynt Teg planned a further 11 turbines but this was rejected. Despite further opposition an amended plan for an additional 9 turbines was passed, and these were built and commissioned in 2008 "within a more compact area and at reduced height".Cwmni Gwynt Teg won an Ashden Award in 2003 for its work on the wind farm.

Betws yn Rhos (English: Chapel house in Rhos) is a village and community in Conwy County Borough, Wales. Betws yn Rhos is located about 5 miles (8.0 km) inland between the coastal towns of Abergele and Colwyn Bay. Until 1974 it formed part of Denbighshire, but subsequent local government reorganisations saw it administered as part of Clwyd from 1974 to 1996, before its current administration as part of Conwy County Borough. At the 2001 census the population was 944, increasing to 1,052 at the 2011 census.The village itself only has a population of 312. The community includes the small settlements of Llanelian-yn-Rhos, Trofarth, Dolwen , Bryn-y-maen, and Dawn.
