The B.C. Open was a PGA Tour golf tournament in New York, held annually from 1971 to 2006. In 1971, it was called the Broome County Open, and the next year it switched to the B.C. Open. In 1973, it became a PGA Tour regular 72-hole money event. From 2000 to 2006, it took place during the same week as The Open Championship, so the leading players were not available and it was one of the smaller events on the PGA Tour schedule. The purse for the final edition in 2006 was $3 million. The tournament was played at the En-Joie Golf Course in Endicott in Upstate New York for every event through 2005. In 2006, severe flooding of the adjacent Susquehanna River forced the event to move to the Atunyote Golf Club at the Turning Stone Resort & Casino in Verona. The event was operated by Broome County Community Charities, Inc. Since its inception, the B.C. Open has turned back to local charities in excess of $7.4 million through 2003. It was named after the comic strip B.C., created by Johnny Hart, who was born and raised in Endicott. Johnny Hart's B.C. characters were used in advertising the event. The B.C. Open was held for the last time on the PGA Tour in 2006 due to a schedule revamp based on the introduction of the FedEx Cup. The success of the Turning Stone event in 2006 led to that venue hosting a "Fall Series" event beginning in 2007, the Turning Stone Resort Championship. The Broome County Community Charities has hosted a Champions Tour event at the En-Joie Golf Course beginning in 2007, the Dick's Sporting Goods Open.

The Dick's Sporting Goods Open is a PGA Tour Champions event in Endicott, New York. It debuted in July 2007, supplanting the B.C. Open, a former PGA Tour event from 1971 through 2006. It is sponsored by Dick's Sporting Goods, founded in adjacent Binghamton. The tournament is played at the En-Joie Golf Club in Endicott in Upstate New York. En-Joie Golf Club opened 97 years ago in 1927 under the original design of Ernie Smith. The golf course was originally built by George F. Johnson, the owner of the Endicott-Johnson Shoe Company. Johnson created the golf course as a place of recreation for his employees who worked at the local shoe factory in Endicott. In 1998 and 1999, the golf course layout was renovated by Michael Hurdzan. He changed the original relatively flat, round greens into very large, undulating greens that challenge all level of golfers. With narrow, tree-lined fairways coupled with large, elevated greens En-Joie golf course is a true test for golfers of all skill levels.The event is operated by Broome County Community Charities. The purse in 2016 was $2 million, with a winner's share of $300,000.

West Endicott Park Carousel is a historic carousel located at Endicott in Broome County, New York. The carousel was purchased about 1929. The carousel is housed in a wooden, one story, 16-sided, enclosed pavilion. The carousel has 36 figures: 34 horses, one pig and one dog, each of which is a "jumper," and two chariots. It was constructed by the Allan Herschell Company. It is one of six carousels donated to the citizens of Broome County by George F. Ross Corners Christian Academy (RCCA) is an independent private Christian school located in Vestal, New York. It holds grades Preschool through 12th. It is open to all students, even non-Christians. Its colors are blue and white, and their mascot is a ram.

West Endicott Hose Company No. 1 is a historic fire station located at West Endicott, Broome County, New York. It was built in 1926–27 by the Endicott Johnson Corporation as a part of its "Square Deal" program. It is a three-story, rectangular steel frame building, clad in red brick and cast stone. It is five bays wide by 12 bays deep. The front facade features second and third story porches supported by brick piers. The building also houses recreational facilities used by the local community.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2015.

Riverside Cemetery (established 1791) is a cemetery set in the "Old Union" district of Endicott, New York, owned and operated by The Union Presbyterian Church. Located at 400 Vestal Avenue, the cemetery has historical significance as the burial place of Joshua and John Mersereau, who fought with George Washington in the Revolutionary War.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2004.

Johnson City Square Deal Arch is a historic "welcome arch" located at Johnson City in Broome County, New York. It is one of two identical arches erected in 1920 in Johnson City and in nearby Endicott, known as the Endicott Square Deal Arch. It was originally constructed by Endicott-Johnson Shoe Company employees to honor George F. Johnson (1857–1948), their highly respected employer and benefactor.After being dismantled in 1976 due to deterioration, it was rebuilt in 1982 in the same location.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2001.

Drovers Inn and Round Family Residence consists of an historic home and an historic inn located at Vestal in Broome County, New York. The Drovers Inn was built about 1844 and the Rounds Family Residence was built 1895–1912. The inn is a 2+1⁄2-story wood-frame Greek Revival structure with an overlay of elaborate Victorian-era decoration added about 1880. The residence was built in 1895 and features an engaged tower with a bell cast roof added in 1912.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2010.

Vestal is a town within Broome County in the Southern Tier of New York, United States, and lies between the Susquehanna River and the Pennsylvania border. As of the 2020 census, the population was 29,110. Vestal is on the southern border of the county, and serves as a western suburb of the city of Binghamton. The town is home to the main campus of Binghamton University.

Vestal Central School, also known as Central Junior High School, is a historic school building located at Vestal in Broome County, New York. It was built in 1939 and is a large three to four story, modified "U" shaped structure. It is built of variegated brick over cinder block with a steel frame and a reinforced concrete foundation. The interior features a number of Art Deco style details. Also on the property is the original bus garage built in 1950. The school is now occupied by the Vestal Senior Center, Evergreen Alternative High School, several small businesses, and administrative offices of the Vestal Central School District. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2010.

Endicott is a village in Broome County, New York, United States. The population was 13,392 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Binghamton Metropolitan Statistical Area. The village is named after Henry B. Endicott, a founding member of the Endicott Johnson Corporation shoe manufacturing company, who founded the community as the "Home of the Square Deal". The village of Endicott is in the town of Union and is west of the city of Binghamton. The community is served by the Greater Binghamton Airport/Edwin A. Link Field. It is part of the "Triple Cities", along with Binghamton and Johnson City.

Union-Endicott High School (UEHS) is a public high school located in Endicott, New York. The school, a part of the Union-Endicott Central School District, enrolls 1,280 students from 9-12 and has a student/teacher ratio of 12.8:1. Union-Endicott was listed as the 4,190th best public high school in the United States in 2021 by U.S. News & World Report on their annual list of Best High Schools in America. In the 2013–14 school year the school had an operating budget of $74,018,097. The only feeder school is Jennie F. Snapp Middle School also located in Endicott.
