Aurora Central High School is a high school in Aurora, Colorado. It was originally named Aurora High School and was the first high school in Aurora Public Schools. When Hinkley High School was built in 1963, this school was renamed to its present title. The first class to graduate from the existing location was the Class of 1956.

UCHealth University of Colorado Hospital or University Hospital (formerly named Colorado General Hospital) is part of UCHealth (University of Colorado Health) and is a Level I trauma center and the principal teaching hospital for the University of Colorado School of Medicine, located in Aurora, Colorado.In the 2017–2018 U.S. News & World Report hospital rankings, UCHealth University of Colorado Hospital ranked in the top 50 for 11 medical specialties and was rated the #15 overall adult hospital in the country. In 2005, UCH was redesignated by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) as a magnet facility. In 2010, the hospital received its third redesignation of Magnet status. The hospital is currently pursuing its fourth Magnet designation.

The system includes an academic medical center, UCHealth University of Colorado Hospital, which is closely affiliated with the University of Colorado School of Medicine. It is a joint operating company between the University of Colorado Hospital Authority (a state government agency) and Poudre Valley Health.

The William Smith House is a home located at 412 Oswego Ct. in Aurora, Colorado. William Smith arrived in Aurora, Colorado in 1882. The house was built in 1910. William Smith was the founder of the Aurora Public school system. He once raised sheep on the property and former owner of land donated for Del Mar Park. He served on the school board for over 50 years and Aurora's first high school was named after him. The house remained in the family until 1983 when his daughter Margaret died. The house remains as a private residence. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.It has some features of American Foursquare styling in that the body of the house is square in plan, and two stories tall, and has a hipped roof, although it does not have the dormers through its roof that is usually part of the pure style. A second contributing building on the property is a one-car brick garage, built in about 1915 after the house owner purchased a car.William Smith was born in Aberdeen, Scotland, in 1860.

Children's Hospital Colorado (CHCO) is an academic pediatric acute care children's hospital located in the Anschutz Medical Campus near the interchange of I-225 and Colfax Avenue in Aurora, Colorado. The hospital has 434 pediatric beds at its main campus in Aurora. As CHCO is a teaching hospital, it operates a number of residency programs, which train newly graduated physicians in various pediatric specialties and subspecialties. The hospital is affiliated with the University of Colorado Denver School of Medicine. The hospital provides comprehensive pediatric specialties and subspecialties to infants, children, teens, and young adults aged 0–21 and sometimes until 25 throughout Colorado and the Midwest. The hospital also sometimes treats adults that require pediatric care. Children's Hospital Colorado is the only children's hospital (verified by the CHA) in Colorado. Additionally, The hospital has outpatient centers, campuses, and doctors offices around Colorado. The hospital features an ACS verified Level 1 Pediatric Trauma Center and features a rooftop helipad to transport critically ill patients.

Fitzsimons Army Hospital, also known as Fitzsimons General Hospital, renamed Fitzsimons Army Medical Center in 1974, and Fitzsimons Building in 2018 was a U.S. Army facility located on 577 acres (234 ha) in Aurora, Colorado. The facility opened in 1918 and closed in 1996. The grounds were then redeveloped for civilian use as the Anschutz Medical Campus and the Fitzsimons Innovation Community.

Colfax station is a Regional Transportation District (RTD) light rail station on the R Line in Aurora, Colorado. The station is located on the light rail bridge elevated above Colfax Avenue between Fitzsimons Parkway and Interstate 225.The station opened on February 24, 2017, along with the rest of the R Line.
