Heaton Park Hebrew Congregation is a large Ashkenazi Orthodox synagogue located in North Manchester, United Kingdom. It was founded in 1935, and in 2010 had between 500 and 749 members. Under the aegis of the Chief Rabbi of the United Kingdom, Reverend Leslie Olsberg MBE led the congregation for 35 years until his death in 2008. Rabbi Daniel Walker succeeded him, and currently heads the congregation. Yehuda Marx is the hazzan.

On 2 October 2025, during the Jewish holiday of Yom Kippur, a man drove a black Kia Picanto into pedestrians before stabbing worshippers at the Heaton Park Hebrew Congregation, a synagogue in Higher Crumpsall, a northern suburb of the city of Manchester in North West England. Two people were killed in the incident, Adrian Daulby, aged 53 and Melvin Cravitz, aged 66. One worshipper was shot dead by police. Three other people were injured and treated in hospital; one was hit by the car, one had a stab wound and the third was wounded by police gunfire. The attacker, Jihad al-Shamie, was a 35-year-old British citizen born in Syria who lived nearby in Prestwich. He was also shot dead by the police.

Beis Yaakov High School is a Jewish secondary school with academy status for girls. It is in Higher Broughton, Salford, in the English county of Greater Manchester. It was founded as a private school in 1957, and became a state-funded voluntary aided school in 2005. The school converted to academy status in 2012.The School was declared as "Requires Improvement" by Ofsted in 2016, and again in 2022. The School was then placed in Special Measures with the Ofsted report stating in the first line of the 2022 Report that "Over time, leaders have prioritised the needs of staff to the detriment of pupils’ education. There is a deeply entrenched culture among staff of apathy and lack of routine. Staff do not take their roles as educators seriously enough."In July 2023 a monitoring inspection concluded that the School had made some progress to address these failings but remained in special measures due to continuing inadequacies in quality of education and teaching.

The Greek Orthodox Church of the Annunciation, Manchester (Greek: Ιερός Ναός Ευαγγελισμού της Θεοτόκου) is a Greek Orthodox church in Salford, Greater Manchester. Completed in 1861 in a classical architectural style, it is the oldest purpose-built Greek Orthodox church in England and since 1980, a grade II listed building for its “special architectural or historic interest”. As of 2017 the church provides liturgies on Sundays and acts as a hub for a community of an estimated 2,500 Greek diaspora, particularly Greek Cypriots, British Cypriots and Greek students in Manchester.A church hall annexe is used for a Greek community school with over 100 pupils studying the culture of Greece, history of Greece and Greek language. The church hall is also used to celebrate events in the calendar of saints and the liturgical year such as Easter, Christmas and other traditions of the Eastern Orthodox Church.

North Manchester Jamia Mosque is a mosque (Arabic: مسجد جمعيه شمال مانشستر ) in the Cheetham Hill area of Manchester, run under the headship of Qamaruzzaman Azmi by the Ibadur-Rahman Trust. It is one of the largest Muslim centres in Europe.The mosque is open to all, and its main prayer halls currently hold between 2,500 and 3,000 people during a Friday service, with over 15,000 worshippers walking through the Mosque's doors during the multiple services held on the religious festivals of Eid.

Crumpsall is an outer suburb and electoral ward of Manchester, England, 3 miles (5 km) north of Manchester city centre, bordered by Cheetham Hill, Blackley, Harpurhey, Broughton, and Prestwich. The population at the 2011 census was 15,959. Historically part of Lancashire, Crumpsall was a township within the parish of Manchester, Salford Hundred.
