Chinatown in Denver, Colorado, was a residential and business district of Chinese Americans in what is now the LoDo section of the city. It was also referred to as "Hop Alley", based upon a slang word for opium. The first Chinese resident of Denver, Hong Lee, arrived in 1869 and lived in a shanty at Wazee and F Streets and ran a washing and ironing laundry business. More Chinese immigrants arrived in the town the following year. Men who had worked on the construction of the first transcontinental railroad or had been miners in California crossed over the Rocky Mountains after their work was completed or mines were depleted in California. In Denver, most of the Chinese operated laundries, picking up a need for Denver's residents. Anti-Chinese sentiment escalated to mob rule in Chinese enclaves throughout the Western United States. In 1880, a white mob attacked Chinese people, their homes and their businesses, virtually destroying all of Chinatown. One man was killed and dozens sustained severe injuries. The Chinese were not compensated for their property loss. Some people moved away soon after the riot, others stayed and rebuilt Chinatown, but the residents continued to experience racial discrimination. By 1940, Chinatown had few Asian inhabitants and the district was razed as part of an urban renewal project.

Coors Field is a baseball stadium in downtown Denver, Colorado. It is the home field of Major League Baseball's Colorado Rockies. Opened in 1995, the park is located in Denver's Lower Downtown neighborhood, two blocks from Union Station. The stadium has a capacity of 50,144 people for baseball. As an expansion team that began play in 1993, the Rockies spent their first two seasons at Mile High Stadium. During that time, Coors Field was constructed for a cost of $300 million. It includes 63 luxury suites and 4,526 club seats. Coors Field has earned a reputation as a hitter's park, due to the effect of Denver's high elevation and semi-arid climate on the distances of batted balls. To combat this, the outfield fences were positioned further away from home plate and baseballs used in the park have been pre-stored in humidors. Coors Field has hosted the 1998 MLB All-Star Game and the 2021 MLB All-Star Game. Coors has also hosted an outdoor hockey game from the 2016 NHL Stadium Series, along with numerous concerts. In 2017, a consultant determined that Coors Field would require $200 million in capital improvements in the 2020s. To fund those improvements, the Rockies agreed to a long-term lease to develop club-owned nearby land.

Denver College of Nursing is an American private for-profit nursing school based in Denver, Colorado. It was established in 2003 and has since added a campus in Houston, Texas. The college offers associate's, bachelor's, and master's degrees in nursing.

The Real World: Denver is the eighteenth season of MTV's reality television series The Real World, which focuses on a group of diverse strangers living together for several months in a different city each season, as cameras follow their lives and interpersonal relationships. It is the second season to be filmed in the Mountain States region of the United States, specifically in Colorado. The season featured seven people who lived in a two-story building in the Lower Downtown area of Denver, Colorado, which production started from late May to September 2006. It premiered on November 22 of that year and consisted of 28 episodes, which along with the twelfth season, is the highest number to date. The season premiere was watched by 4.3 million viewers.

Sakura Square (Japanese: サクラ・スクエア, Sakura Sukuea) is a small plaza located on the north/east side of the intersection of 19th Street and Larimer Street in Denver, Colorado. The square contains busts of Ralph L. Carr, Governor of Colorado from 1939 to 1943, Minoru Yasui, a Japanese-American lawyer, and Yoshitaka Tamai (1900–1983), a Buddhist priest who lived in Denver. Sakura Square also has a small Japanese garden, and it serves as the entrance to the 20-story Tamai Tower apartment building that occupies most of the block. There are several shops and restaurants in the ground and first floors of the apartment building.

1900 Lawrence is a high-rise office building in downtown Denver, Colorado. Completed in 2024, the 30-story tower rises approximately 427 feet (130 m) and contains more than 700,000 square feet (65,000 m2) of office space. The building is located near Union Station and Coors Field in the city’s central business district.

Kopper's Hotel and Saloon, also known as the Airedale Building, is a National Register of Historic Places listed building in Denver, Colorado. It was designed by Frederick C. Eberley. The Hotel and Saloon was constructed in 1889. The building was renamed the Airedale in 1919 and the pediment was modified accordingly. The facade is not believed to have undergone any other major changes at the time. It was a working-class hotel. The saloon closed down due to statewide prohibition and the property was sold by its German owner (Albert Kopper, a Bavarian immigrant) at a time when anti-German sentiment was strong during World War I. It continued to be used as a hotel and rooming house into the 1970s. The building is an example of Queen Anne commercial style architecture. The first floor has been extensively remodeled, but the upper floors remain largely intact. German immigrants and their bar culture figured prominently in Denver culture of the 1880s when one third of Denver's saloonkeepers were German-born. Many of the bars were located along Market St. and Larimer St. to the southwest of Kopper's Saloon.The building has been home to a porn shop.

The Denver Milk Market is a food hall in Denver, Colorado, United States. Frank Bonanno opened the food hall in 2018 and sold the business to Sage Hospitality Group in 2023. The food hall offers air hockey, shuffleboard, skee-ball, and Pac-Man. Tenants have included East3, Konjo Ethiopian Food, Lucky Bird, Marczyk Fine Foods, and YumCha.

The Denver Tramway, operating in Denver, Colorado, was a streetcar system incorporated in 1886. The tramway was unusual for a number of reasons: the term "tramway" is generally not used in the United States, and it is not known why the company was named as such. The track was 3 ft 6 in (1,067 mm) narrow gauge, an unusual gauge in the United States (although streetcars in Los Angeles also used this gauge), but in general use by railways in Japan, southern Africa, New Zealand, and Queensland, Australia. The tramway made use of a variety of types of streetcars, including conduit cars (until 1888), cable cars (until 1900), and trolley cars (until 1950). At the height of its trolley operations, the tramway owned more than 160 miles (260 km) of track and operated over 250 streetcars. By the end of trolley service, only 64 streetcars were still in use. After streetcar operation ceased in 1950 the tramway operated trolley coaches and conventional buses, but continued to use the Tramway name. In May 1971, the Denver Tramway Corporation ceased operation of Denver's transit system, selling its assets and operations to the City and County of Denver. The city continued those operations under the name Denver Metro Transit until 1974, when they were assumed by the voter-approved Regional Transportation District (RTD).

Union Station is a downtown neighborhood of Denver, Colorado. In 2020, the population of the neighborhood was roughly 5,878.The neighborhood is named for Union Station, Denver's main railroad terminal. Much of the Lower Downtown Historic District (known as LoDo) is in the Union Station neighborhood, but the boundaries of the two are not the same, and LoDo is not one of the city's official statistical neighborhoods.

The Denver City Cable Railway Building on Lawrence Street in Denver, Colorado, opened in 1889. Originally built to house power and maintenance facilities for Denver's cable car system, it now houses a restaurant and office space. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1979. The current owner is Jim Judd.
