Women's Huron Valley Correctional Facility (WHV) is a prison for women located in Pittsfield Township, Michigan, operated by the Michigan Department of Corrections (MDOC). The three-letter designation for this facility is WHV. It is the only prison in Michigan which houses women.

The Ypsilanti State Hospital housed and treated patients for mental health disorders. The hospital complex was located at the northeast corner of Platt and Willis roads, in York Charter Township; one mile south of the boundary with Pittsfield Charter Township and two miles west of the Augusta Charter Township boundary. The City of Saline was four miles due west of the hospital on Willis Road, while the City of Milan was five miles due south on Platt Road. The hospital, which was three miles from the point where York and Ypsilanti charter townships meet, was called "Ypsilanti" because the area is served by the Ypsilanti telephone exchange.

Huron Towers is the name of a pair of twin apartment buildings in Ann Arbor, Michigan. They are located at 2200 Fuller Court.

York Charter Township is a charter township of Washtenaw County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 8,708 at the 2010 census.The township is located north of the city of Milan and is home to the Federal Correctional Institution, Milan, which carried out the only capital punishment sentence in the state's history when Tony Chebatoris was executed in 1938.

The Langford and Lydia McMichael Sutherland Farmstead is a farm located at 797 Textile Road in Pittsfield Charter Township, Michigan. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2006. It is now the Sutherland-Wilson Farm Historic Site.

Saline High School is a public high school near Saline, Michigan, United States. The school, a part of the Saline Area Schools, moved to its 54,300 m2 (585,000 sq ft) facility on roughly 81 hectares (200 acres) of land on Industrial Drive in August 2004 in Pittsfield Township. It is the 31st largest high school in the state of Michigan by enrollment, and was ranked 20th best high school in the state by US News.

Rentschler Farm Museum is a historic site located at 1265 East Michigan Avenue near downtown Saline, Michigan. The site consists of an old-fashioned farmhouse and eleven outbuildings, including a hog house, an equipment shed, a hen house, and a windmill, among others. The site is now a museum that serves as a tourist attraction, showing how farming has changed over the years. The site was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2013.The Rentschler farm museum holds special events during certain times of the year. In the fall, the Rentschler farm has an annual harvest celebration that consists of guided tours of the farm and garden, blacksmithing demonstrations, and antique car shows.Near Christmas, the Saline Historical Society holds an event called "Christmas on the Farm", where people are invited to celebrate the season in an environment similar to that of the 1930s.

Automotive Components Holdings, LLC (ACH) located in Saline, Michigan was an automotive parts manufacturing plant that specialized in the manufacture of plastics, trim pieces, instrument panels, door panels, consoles, and other various internal plastic parts. On June 1, 2012, Faurecia, a French automotive parts supplier, began operations at the plant.The facility is located on Michigan Avenue just outside Saline. Outgoing freight service to various railroads in Toledo, Ohio is provided by the Ann Arbor Railroad. As a "primary customer," the plant receives 13.2 kv electrical service from DTE Energy via a dedicated substation on the west side of the property.

Ann Arbor Learning Community (AALC) is a K-12 public charter school in Ann Arbor, Michigan, authorized by Eastern Michigan University. Enrollment is open to all K-12 students residing within the state of Michigan. Because AALC is part of the public school system, tuition is not charged to any student desiring to attend. . AALC first opened its doors in the fall of 1998. With small, multi-age classrooms, AALC seeks to meet the individual needs of all students. The school currently has one Early Primary (K-1) classroom, one Primary (2-3) classroom, one Intermediate (4-5) classroom and two Middle School (6-8) classrooms. Students also have music, art, and physical education classes. Intermediate and Middle School students are given the opportunity to be a member of the instrumental music program. In the fall of 2021, Eastern Michigan University (EMU) announced that it would not renew AALC's charter, which was scheduled to expire in the summer of 2022, citing a steep drop in enrollment and other concerns. AALC contended that it should not be penalized for the enrollment drop, alleging that the management company which it had hired, Global Educational Excellence had falsely inflated its enrollment figures. According to EMU, AALC's enrollment had declined from 273 students in the 2020-21 school year to less than forty, and had lost virtually all of its high school enrollment following the dispute with GEE.

Arbor Preparatory High School, or for short, Arbor Prep is a public, charter high school located in Ypsilanti. Arbor Preparatory High School is a comprehensive high school serving 9-12th grades. It has 285 students and 40 faculty members. The building's construction was finished in 2011, and opened the same year. As of late 2020, the school is now owned and operated by National Heritage Academies.

Ann Arbor Municipal Airport (IATA: ARB, ICAO: KARB, FAA LID: ARB) is a general aviation airport in Washtenaw County, Michigan, United States. It is included in the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems for 2017 to 2021, in which it is categorized as a regional general aviation facility.The airport is located in Pittsfield Township, but the airport is owned and operated by the City of Ann Arbor. The airport property was annexed by the City of Ann Arbor for water rights before Pittsfield became a charter township in 1972. About 15% of the water pumped to Ann Arbor's Water Treatment Plant comes from wells located at the city's airport. Pittsfield Township provides police and fire services to the airport when required. Despite being located entirely within the boundaries of Pittsfield, the township has no voting representation on any committee, council or board tasked with the management of airport operations. The airport is located about 4.3 miles (6.9 km) south of downtown Ann Arbor. The airport is a general aviation facility with mostly smaller corporate and private aircraft, with no scheduled passenger or cargo flights. The airport is also occasionally used by aircraft transporting patients to the University of Michigan Health System. The UMHS keeps its Survival Flight helicopters at the airport, but does not keep its fixed-wing Survival Flight jet aircraft at the site because of the lack of 24-hour control tower staffing. As of 2013, the airport's annual budget was around $800,000, which the city makes by renting hangars and imposing fuel surcharges; the city does not allocate funds to the airport.
