The Louis Heaton Pink Houses or Pink Houses are a housing project in New York City that were established in the East New York neighborhood in Brooklyn in 1959. It consists of 22 eight-storey buildings with 1,500 apartment units over a 31.1-acre expanse, bordered by Crescent Street, Linden Boulevard, Elderts Lane and Stanley Avenue. It is owned and managed by New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA).

The Chestnut Street station was a station on the demolished BMT Fulton Street Line in Brooklyn, New York City. It had 2 tracks and 2 side platforms. It was served by trains of the BMT Fulton Street Line. The station was opened on July 16, 1894, and is one of three stations to extend the Fulton Street Line closer to Queens. The next stop to the east was Crescent Street. The next stop to the west was Montauk Avenue. On November 28, 1948, the Independent Subway System opened the underground Euclid Avenue Subway station two blocks east after years of war-time construction delays. This station rendered both Chestnut Street station and the nearby Crescent Street station obsolete, and it closed on April 26, 1956.

The Euclid Avenue station is an express station on the IND Fulton Street Line of the New York City Subway, located at the intersection of Euclid and Pitkin Avenues in East New York, Brooklyn. It is served by the A train at all times and is the southern terminal for the C train at all times except nights. During nights, this is the northern terminal for the Lefferts Boulevard shuttle train from Ozone Park, Queens. Construction on the Euclid Avenue station started in 1938, but this part of the Fulton Street Line did not open until 1948. The Fulton Street Line was extended to the east in 1956, connecting to the Fulton Street Elevated via a branch line that runs through the Grant Avenue station. Elevators were installed at Euclid Avenue circa 2000. The station has four tracks and two island platforms. In terms of railroad directions, this is the southernmost station on the Fulton Street Line. The line was originally planned to extend further east as a four-track underground line; however, the four-track extension was never built. East of the station, there are connections to the Pitkin Yard as well as to the Fulton Street Elevated. The tracks themselves dead-end after the Fulton Street elevated spur diverges.

It was served by trains of the BMT Fulton Street Line. The station was opened on March 21, 1892, and was the eastern terminus of the Fulton Street Line until 1894, when the line was extended to Grant Avenue. On November 28, 1948, the Independent Subway System opened the underground Shepherd Avenue Subway station three blocks west after years of war-time construction delays. This station rendered both Montauk Avenue station and the nearby Linwood Street station obsolete, and it closed on April 26, 1956.

It was served by trains of the BMT Fulton Street Line. The next stop to the east was Grant Avenue. The Palm Sunday massacre was a 1984 mass-murder in Brooklyn, New York, that resulted in the deaths of ten people: two women, two teenage girls, and six children. There was one survivor, an infant girl.

The Grant Avenue station is a station on the IND Fulton Street Line of the New York City Subway. Located at Grant Avenue just north of Pitkin Avenue in City Line, Brooklyn, near the border between the boroughs of Brooklyn and Queens, it is served by the A train at all times. The station is the line's easternmost stop in Brooklyn; the Fulton Street Line continues east into Queens via the Fulton Street Elevated.The funds to construct the Fulton Street Line east of Broadway Junction, including the Grant Avenue station, were allocated in 1939. Construction of the extension was delayed due to material shortages from World War II. The Fulton Street Line between Broadway Junction and Euclid Avenue opened in 1948. Funding to construct the Grant Avenue station was allocated in 1950, and the station opened in 1956.

Transit Tech High School is a vocational high school in the East New York neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York. It is a trade school whose mission is the training of students for careers in the rapid transit industry. It is located at 1 Wells Street, at the corner of Fountain Avenue, between Atlantic Avenue and Liberty Avenue. The athletic field for the school is at the south side of the beginning of Conduit Boulevard. The school was originally named East New York Continuation High School in 1915, but was renamed to East New York Workers High School of Brooklyn in 1922. In 1941, it was renamed to East New York Vocational High School. Finally, in 1992 it was renamed to Transit Tech High School. In October 2022, the first football team for the school was created, over its 100+ years.

The Shepherd Avenue station is a local station on the IND Fulton Street Line of the New York City Subway. Located at the intersection of Shepherd and Pitkin Avenues in the East New York neighborhood of Brooklyn, it is served by the C train at all times except nights, when the A train takes over service. Construction on the Shepherd Avenue station started in 1938 as part of a four-station extension of the Fulton Street subway eastward under Pitkin Avenue toward Queens. Work was delayed by funding problems due to World War II, even though the stations were mostly complete. Construction resumed on the extension of the Fulton Street Line in November 1946, and this part of the Fulton Street Line opened in 1948. The extension of the Fulton Street subway replaced the Fulton Street elevated line, which closed afterward.

Spring Creek, previously called Spring Creek Basin, is a neighborhood within the East New York section of Brooklyn in New York City. It roughly comprises the southern portions of East New York between Flatlands Avenue to the north, and Jamaica Bay and the Gateway National Recreation Area to the south, with the Brooklyn neighborhood of Canarsie to the west and the Queens neighborhood of Howard Beach to the east. It is named after Spring Creek, one of several creeks that formerly ran through the area and drained into Jamaica Bay. For most of its history, the neighborhood of Spring Creek was considered the place where "the city came to an end", consisting of undeveloped marshland used as illegal dumping grounds, and hosting several large landfills and an incinerator during the 20th century. Much of the area was designated as the Fresh Creek Urban Renewal Area in 1967. The area has since seen several major development and restoration projects, including the Starrett City apartment complex, the Gateway Center shopping complex, several affordable housing communities, and Spring Creek Park. Spring Creek had the largest net gain in population in Brooklyn between 1940 and 2010, an increase of 330%.Spring Creek is part of Brooklyn Community District 5, and its primary ZIP Codes are 11207, 11208, and 11239.

The New Lots Avenue station is the eastern (railroad southern) terminal of the IRT New Lots Line of the New York City Subway. It is the terminal for the 3 train at all times except late nights, when the 4 train takes over service. During rush hours, occasional 2, 4, and 5 trains also stop here.

The Grant Avenue station was a station on the demolished BMT Fulton Street Line in Brooklyn, New York City. It had two tracks and one island platform. The station opened on July 16, 1894 as City Line station, and was the eastern terminal of the line until September 25, 1915, when Hudson Street – 80th Street opened and the line was extended to Lefferts Avenue – 119th Street. The next stop to the west was Crescent Street. It closed on April 26, 1956, and was replaced by the nearby underground Grant Avenue station of the IND Fulton Street Line 1½ blocks south on April 29, 1956. The remainder of the line east to Lefferts Avenue (today Lefferts Boulevard) was connected to the Fulton Street subway and continues to operate.
