Palewell Park

Richmond Park Academy is a secondary school with an academy status in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames. The school is part of the Academies Enterprise Trust academy chain. Richmond Park Academy was formed in 2010 when academy status was granted to the predecessor Shene School. The academy is led by Nabila Jiwa, and is managed by the Academies Enterprise Trust. In 2011 the academy secured almost £10 million of government funding for building improvements. Renovation and new building work was finished in 2015, with an official opening by Dame Jacqueline Wilson.

All Saints Church, East Sheen, is a church in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames, located at the junction of East Sheen Avenue and Park Avenue in East Sheen. All Saints Church is a member of the Anglican Communion and the Church of England and the style of worship is Modern Catholic. There are three regular Sunday services at 8:00am, 10:00am and at midday.

Bank of England Ground is a cricket ground in Roehampton, London (formerly Surrey). The ground is owned by the Bank of England, and is part of the Bank of England Sports Centre. The first recorded match on the ground was in 1949, when South Women Second XI played the Women's Cricket Association.The ground hosted its only first-class match in 1967, when Oxford University played the touring South African Universities team.The ground also hosted a number of Second XI matches for both the Surrey Second XI and the Middlesex Second XI in the Second XI Championship between 1971 and 1982.During the 1993 Women's Cricket World Cup, the ground held a single Women's One Day International between Ireland women and Australia women.In local domestic cricket, the ground is the home venue of Bank of England Cricket Club. Football is also played the ground in between cricket seasons.

The International Tennis Federation (ITF) is the governing body of world tennis, wheelchair tennis, and beach tennis. It was founded in 1913 as the International Lawn Tennis Federation by twelve national tennis associations. As of 2016, there are 211 national and six regional associations that make up the ITF's membership. The ITF's governance responsibilities include maintaining and enforcing the rules of tennis, regulating international team competitions, promoting the game, and preserving the sport's integrity via anti-doping and anti-corruption programs. The ITF partners with the Women's Tennis Association (WTA) and the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) to govern professional tennis. The ITF organizes annual team competitions for men (Davis Cup), women (Billie Jean King Cup), and mixed teams (Hopman Cup), as well as tennis and wheelchair tennis events at the Summer Olympic and Paralympic Games on behalf of the International Olympic Committee. The ITF sanctions circuits that span age ranges (junior, professional men and women, and seniors) as well as disciplines (wheelchair tennis; beach tennis). In addition to these circuits, the ITF also maintains rankings for juniors, seniors, wheelchair and beach tennis.

Templeton House is a Grade II listed house in Roehampton, London, dating from the late 18th century and set in a three acre garden. It was completed in 1786 as part of the Grove Estate and is named after Lady Elizabeth Templetown who resided there as its first occupant. The house has been used as a hospital during the First and Second World Wars as well as student accommodation for several decades under the nearby University of Roehampton. Winston Churchill briefly lived in the house with his wife Clementine, staying with the then owner Freddie Guest. The 3rd season of Downtown Abbey has also used the house as a filming set. Templeton House has been remodeled signifcantly throughout the years including by Ivor Guest who is said to be responsible for the Wrenaissance redecoration of the library in the early 1900s. After years of neglect the house underwent significant restoration in the 2010s. Among those carrying out the project were Todd Longstaffe-Gowan and Bob Sandford, with an aim of maintaining historic architectural elements.

Parkside Christian Centre, East Sheen, previously known as Elim Pentecostal Church, East Sheen, is a Pentecostal church in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames at 173 Upper Richmond Road (West), in East Sheen.

The United Kingdom's National Tennis Centre at Roehampton in south-west London is the high-performance training facility of the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA). It was officially opened by Queen Elizabeth II on 29 March 2007. The Chief Executive of the centre is Roger Draper. The centre has 16 outdoor courts, covering all the Grand Slam surfaces, six indoor courts, a gymnasium and sports science and medical facilities. It also houses the administration of the LTA, which was previously based at the Queen's Club in West Kensington.

The Hare and Hounds is a Young's public house at Upper Richmond Road, East Sheen, in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames. It is Grade II listed. A former coaching inn, it was built by an unknown architect in the early 19th century. It has a 1930s interior and an extensive garden.

East Sheen, also known as Sheen, is a suburb in south-west London in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames. Its long high street has shops, offices, restaurants, cafés, pubs and suburban supermarkets and is also the economic hub for Mortlake of which East Sheen was once a manor. This commercial thoroughfare, well served by public transport, is the Upper Richmond Road West which connects Richmond to Putney. Central to this street is The Triangle, a traffic island with a war memorial and an old milestone dating from 1751, marking the 10 miles (16 km) distance to Cornhill in the City of London.The main railway station serving the area, Mortlake, is centred 300 metres (980 ft) north of this. Sheen has a mixture of low-rise and mid-rise buildings and it has parks and open spaces including its share of Richmond Park, accessed via Sheen Gate; Palewell Common, which has a playground, playing fields, tennis courts and a pitch and putt course; and East Sheen Common which is owned by the National Trust and leads into Bog Gate, another gate of Richmond Park.

Mortlake is a suburban district of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames on the south bank of the River Thames between Kew and Barnes. Historically it was part of Surrey and until 1965 was in the Municipal Borough of Barnes. For many centuries it had village status and extended far to the south, to include East Sheen and part of what is now Richmond Park. Its Stuart and Georgian history was economically one of malting, brewing, farming, watermen and the Mortlake Tapestry Works (1617–1704), Britain's most important producer. A London landmark, the former Mortlake Brewery or Stag Brewery, is on the edge of Mortlake. The Waterloo to Reading railway line runs through Mortlake, which has a pedestrianised riverside, two riverside pubs and a village green. The Boat Race finishes at Mortlake every March/April.

Admiral Lord William FitzRoy (1 June 1782 – 13 May 1857), was an officer of the British Royal Navy who served during the French Revolutionary and Napoleonic Wars, and also as a Member of Parliament.

Old Mortlake Burial Ground, also known as Old Mortlake Cemetery, is a cemetery in Mortlake in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames, at Avenue Gardens, London SW14 8BP. Established in 1854, and enlarged in 1877, it is now managed by Richmond upon Thames Borough Council. The cemetery contains Commonwealth war graves of 21 British service personnel, 19 from World War I and two from World War II.
