The siege of Fredriksodde, also known as the Storming of Fredriksodde (Swedish: Stormningen av Frederiksodde; Danish: Stormen på Frederiksodde) and the conquest of Fredriksodde (Swedish: Erövringen av Fredriksodde), was a successful Swedish siege of the fortress and town of Fredriksodde (modern day Fredericia) in 1657 during the Dano-Swedish War of 1657–1658. The siege and the subsequent capture of the fortress by Swedish forces completed the Swedish conquest of Jutland.

Fredericia (Danish pronunciation: [fʁeðəˈʁetɕæ]) is a town located in Fredericia Municipality in the southeastern part of the Jutland peninsula in Denmark. The city is part of the Triangle Region, which includes the neighbouring cities of Kolding and Vejle. It was founded in 1650 by Frederick III, after whom it was named. The city itself has a population of 41,243 (1 January 2023) and the Fredericia Municipality has a population of 52,173 (2023).

The Evacuation of Fredericia was an event during the Second Schleswig War which began when Prussian and Austrian artillery shelled the fortress on March 20, 1864, with their artillery. When the Danish evacuated from the fortress which marked the end of Danish control of Jutland.

The Battle of Fredericia was fought between soldiers of Schleswig-Holstein and Denmark on 6 July 1849 at Fredericia in Denmark. The battle was a part of the First Schleswig War, which was a conflict between Schleswig-Holstein, supported by several German states, and Denmark. The Danes won the battle.

Fredericia station (Danish: Fredericia Banegård or Fredericia Station) is a railway station serving the city of Fredericia in Jutland, Denmark.Fredericia station is an important railway junction where the Copenhagen-Fredericia Line, the Fredericia-Aarhus Line, and the Flensburg-Fredericia Line all cross each other. The station was opened in 1935 together with the opening of the Little Belt Bridge across the Little Belt. The train services are operated by the railway company DSB.

Fredericia Speedway Stadium (Danish: Frederica Stadion) was a speedway track in the centre of Fredericia, Denmark. The track was located between the Baldersvej and Nymarksvej roads, where the present day housing estate of Baldersparken stands. The stadium was a significant venue for major speedway events, including the final of the 1987 Speedway World Team Cup.

Strib is also the nickname of the Minneapolis Star TribuneStrib is a town in Region of Southern Denmark, Denmark, with a population of 4,858 (1 January 2023). The closest large towns are Middelfart and Fredericia. The town lies at an altitude just a few meters above sea level on the island of Funen. Strib has an excellent marina, high schools, a modern sports center, and good shopping opportunities. Strib's main landmark is an old white lighthouse. Fishing, swimming and surfing are popular pastimes in Strib. Sea trout and cod are found year-round near the old lighthouse. Rainfall in Strib averages about 610mm (24 in.) per year, with September being the wettest month and April the driest. Strib has a temperate, maritime climate, with an average of seven to ten days of precipitation per month, and has many overcast days each year. Strib has the only English red telephone box in Denmark.

The New Little Belt Bridge (Danish: Nye Lillebæltsbro) is a suspension bridge that crosses the Little Belt strait between Jutland (Jylland) and the island of Funen (Fyn) in Denmark. The bridge is 1,700 metres long, the main span is 600 metres, the pylons reaching a height of 120 metres, and the maximum clearance from the sea is 44 metres. The New Little Belt Bridge was built from 1965 to 1970 and was opened by King Frederik IX on 21 October 1970. The bridge was constructed to alleviate congestion on the Old Little Belt Bridge due to the increasing car traffic between Jutland and Funen. It is a motorway on the E20 bridge with three-lane carriageways as opposed to the single lanes of the old bridge. The bridge has heating in the road deck, so it can be kept free of ice and snow in winter. Passing over Little Belt Bridge is toll-free.

Fredericia Idrætscenter is an indoor sports arena in Fredericia, Denmark, used for several sports, including handball. The arena can hold 2,225 spectators (app. 850 seated) and is home to Fredericia HK.

Fredericia Stadium (Danish: Fredericia Stadion Danish pronunciation: [fʁeðəˈʁetɕæ stɛˌtjʌn]; currently known as Monjasa Park Danish pronunciation: [mʌnˈtɕæsæ pʰɑːk] for sponsorship reasons) is a football stadium in Fredericia, Denmark. It opened on 2 September 2006, as the new home ground for Danish 1st Division club FC Fredericia. It has a capacity of 4,000, of which 1,400 are seated. In May 2020, Fredericia Municipality announced at a press conference plans for upgrading Monjasa Park. A new stand with a seating capacity of 1,400 and terracing able to hold 500 away-fans were planned for construction before the end of the year. The plans would see stadium infrastructure improve and prepare FC Fredericia for a possible future promotion to the Danish Superliga, which mayor Jacob Bjerregaard stated could happen within the "next 2–3 years".

Fredericia Municipality (Danish: Fredericia Kommune) is a kommune on the east coast of the Jutland peninsula in south-central Denmark. It belongs to the Region of Southern Denmark, covers an area of 134.46 km2, and has a total population of 52,173 (2023). The Mayor is Steen Wrist, representing the Social Democrats political party. The municipality's main town and the site of its municipal council is the city of Fredericia. Neighboring municipalities are Vejle to the north, Kolding to the west, and Middelfart to the east, albeit separated from the municipality by the waters of the Lillebælt, the strait, that separates the Jutland mainland from the island of Funen in this area, where the two lie very close to each other, often less than 1.5 km apart. Snævringen is an extension of the Kattegat, and begins near the cities of Fredericia and Middelfart. The municipality is part of Triangle Region and of the East Jutland metropolitan area, which had a total population of 1.378 million in 2016.

The siege of Snoghøj occurred from 11 to 14 January 1644 during the Torstenson War between Denmark–Norway and Sweden. After Sweden went to war with Denmark in 1643, a Swedish army led by Lennart Torstensson invaded Jutland. The Swedes quickly captured multiple towns, and after an assault on Christianspris, the Swedish army moved toward the Danish fortification of Snoghøj, which was near its intended crossing point to Funen. After three days of Danish resistance, the Swedish army formed up outside Snoghøj, and the Danish garrison, some 4,500 men in total, capitulated to the Swedes. The fortifications commander, Anders Bille, had evacuated to Funen before it fell.
