St Aloysius College is a Catholic, day school for girls, situated in Adelaide, South Australia. St Aloysius College, also known as "SAC", was established by the Sisters of Mercy in 1880, and educates over 1300 students from Reception to Year 12. The school is home to the SA Adelaide Language Centre, established in 1994 and accredited by English Australia for English language tuition.

The Adelaide Holocaust Museum and Andrew Steiner Education Centre (AHMSEC) is a museum housed in the historic Fennescey House at 33 Wakefield Street, in Adelaide city centre, just east of Victoria Square/Tarndanyangga.

Calvary Adelaide Hospital is a private hospital on Angas Street in Adelaide, the capital of South Australia, that opened on 6 January 2020. It replaces the services of both Calvary Wakefield Hospital and Calvary Rehabilitation Hospital, providing acute care with inpatient and outpatient facilities. It also provides dental care, plastic and reconstructive surgery to patients. The building is owned by Commercial & General and was built by John Holland construction. Construction started in mid-2016. Construction of the building "topped out" to full height on 14 August 2018. Calvary Healthcare has a 30-year lease on the building. The site is located next to SA Police Headquarters and was formerly a car park.

Adelaide Fire Station is a fire station located in Adelaide, the state capital of South Australia. It was designed by architects Rod Roach and Woodhead Australia, it is notable "for its innovative design is an outstanding example of postmodern architecture", it was designed and built during 1976 to 1983.The complex includes auxiliary buildings and a concrete training tower.It was listed on the South Australian Heritage Register on 16 September 2015.

Torrens University is an Australian international university and vocational registered training organisation, with campuses in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, Blue Mountains, Australia, Auckland, New Zealand, and Suzhou, China. It began teaching in 2014 in its first campus in the Torrens Building in Adelaide city centre. As of 2021 the university has about 19,000 enrolled students.

St Francis Xavier's Cathedral is a Roman Catholic cathedral in Adelaide, South Australia. It is classified as being a Gothic Revival building in the Early English style. The tower stands 36 m high and is 56.5 m lengthwise and 29.5 m horizontally. The foundation stone was laid in 1856 and the building was opened in 1858. The construction of the tower began in 1887. However, it was not completed until 1996.

The Magistrates Court of South Australia is the lowest level court in South Australia. The Magistrates Court, then known as the Court of Petty Sessions, was established in 1837, by the Court of Sessions Act 1837. It has both original and appellate jurisdiction and hears matters specified in the Magistrates Court Act 1991 (SA). The Magistrates Court has both a criminal and civil jurisdiction. In its criminal jurisdiction, the Magistrates Court deals with summary offences and minor indictable offences. The court has the power to impose a fine, imprisonment of up to five years for one offence, an intensive correction order (which may include community service) or a good behaviour bond. In its civil jurisdiction, it hears matters involving up to $100,000 for general claims, unless this requirement is waived by the parties to the proceeding.The Chief Magistrate, Her Honour Judge Mary-Louise Hribal, is the leading judicial officer of the Court. Including the Chief Magistrate, there are 34 magistrates in South Australia, based in Adelaide and in metropolitan courts at Christies Beach, Elizabeth, Mount Barker and Port Adelaide. There are also nine Magistrates based in the regional courts of South Australia.

The South Australian Metropolitan Fire Service (SAMFS) is South Australia's government-funded fire service. The South Australian Fire Brigade was formed in 1882, following passing of the Fire Brigades Act. In 1981 the service was renamed to SAMFS when it became government funded. The MFS has 36 fire stations and over 1,000 personnel in Adelaide and across South Australia in major rural centres. It also has one marine vessel. The MFS are on constant standby 24 hours a day 7 days a week. The MFS Headquarters is situated at 99 Wakefield Street, Adelaide.

City of Adelaide was an electoral district of the South Australian House of Assembly, the lower house of the bicameral legislature of the then colony of South Australia.City of Adelaide was one of the original districts of the first Assembly created in 1857; it was abolished in 1862, when the new East Adelaide and West Adelaide districts were created, each with two members.

Hurtle Square, also known as Tangkaira, is one of five public squares in the Adelaide city centre, South Australia. Located in the centre of the south-eastern quarter of the city, it surrounds the intersection of Halifax and Pulteney Streets. Its north edge is bounded by Carrington Street. It is one of six squares designed by the founder of Adelaide, Colonel William Light, who was Surveyor-General at the time, in his 1837 plan of the City of Adelaide which spanned the River Torrens Valley, comprising the city centre (South Adelaide) and North Adelaide. The square was named in 1837 by the Street Naming Committee after James Hurtle Fisher, South Australia's first Resident Commissioner. In 2003, as part of the dual naming initiative by the Adelaide City Council, a second name, Tangkaira, was assigned in the Kaurna language of the original inhabitants.

The Torrens Building, named after Sir Robert Richard Torrens, is a State Heritage-listed building on the corner of Victoria Square and Wakefield Street in Adelaide, South Australia. It was originally known as the New Government Offices, and after that a succession of names reflecting its tenants, including as New Public Offices, the Lands Titles Office, and Engineering & Water Supply Department. It has been home to a number of government departments for much of its existence. The construction of the building created some controversy in 1880 when it was reported that the Government of South Australia was going to import freestone for its construction from Sydney, rather than use stone from local quarries. The building was heritage-listed in 1978 and 1981, and underwent a major renovation in the 1990s, after which it was renamed the Torrens Building at its reopening in 1997. It has housed the Australian campus of the Carnegie Mellon University since 2006 and Torrens University opened its first campus there in 2014. Cranfield University (UK) had a campus in the building from 2007 to 2010 and the University College London from 2009 to 2017.
