The Fairmont Palliser, formerly known as the Palliser Hotel, is a hotel of the Canada-based Fairmont Hotels and Resorts chain. The historic hotel (1914) is located in downtown Calgary, Alberta, at 133 9 Avenue SW adjacent to the Calgary Tower and Palliser Square. The Palliser is one of Calgary's oldest and most luxurious hotels.

The Calgary Tower is a 190.8-meter (626 ft) free standing observation tower in the downtown core of Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Originally called the Husky Tower, it was conceived as a joint venture between Marathon Realty Company Limited and Husky Oil as part of an urban renewal plan and to celebrate Canada's centennial of 1967. The tower was built at a cost of CA$3,500,000 and weighs approximately 10,884 tonnes, of which 60% is below ground. It opened to the public on June 30, 1968 as the tallest structure in Calgary, and the tallest in Canada outside Toronto. It was renamed the Calgary Tower in 1971. The building was a founding member of the World Federation of Great Towers.

Stephen Avenue is a major pedestrian mall in downtown Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The mall is the portion of 8 Avenue SW between 4 Street SW and 1 Street SE. It is open to vehicles only from 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. The street is known for some of Calgary's finest restaurants, cafés, pubs and bars. The street also provides an eclectic mix of boutiques and high-end retail. Major shopping centres include The Core Shopping Centre, (formerly Calgary Eaton Centre/TD Square), Bankers Hall, Fashion Central, Scotia Centre, and The Bay department store. The street is also home to downtown Calgary's major convention and exhibition facility, the Telus Convention Centre, and two hotels, the Hyatt Regency Calgary, which incorporates several historic buildings into its facade, and the Calgary Marriott.

The Grand, stylized as The GRAND (formerly Sherman Grand, Showcase Grand, The Grand Theatre, and Theatre Junction GRAND), is the oldest theatre in the downtown core of Calgary, Alberta, Canada. In its current incarnation, it houses and operates the 436-seat Flanagan Theatre and a rehearsal space, the Studio.

Calgary station was a railway station in Calgary, Alberta of the Canadian Pacific Railway that operated from 1908 to 1965. The station was designed by the railway's chief architect, Walter Scott Painter, though his design was only executed partially. The center block of the station was completed and operational by the fall of 1908. In an interview in Calgary in October of that year, railway president Thomas Shaughnessy indicated that work on the wings would likely begin in the spring of 1909. In 1965, the station closed, and in 1969 it was demolished to make way for the Calgary Tower. A new station, called Tower Centre, was incorporated into the Tower.

The Palace Theatre is a historic building in Calgary, Alberta. It is Calgary's oldest surviving movie theatre and one of only three surviving Canadian examples of the work of American architect C. Howard Crane. Built by the Allen family, the building served as a theatre from 1921 to 1990. Located in Calgary's Stephen Avenue Mall, it operated as a nightclub from 1998 to 2004 and has been used as a sports bar and special event centre since 2007. The building was designated as a Provincial Historic Resource in 1996 and as a National Historic Site of Canada in 1997.

Stephen Avenue Place, formerly Scotia Centre is an office and retail hub in downtown Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Located at 700 2nd Street SW, it stands at 155 metres (509 feet) or 41-storeys tall and was the tallest building in Calgary at the time of its completion. Formerly known as the Scotia Centre, after its namesake tenant Scotiabank, the building was purchased by Slate Asset Management in 2018 and was extensively renovated.Stephen Avenue Place is named for George Stephen, the first Baron Mount Stephen, who was the visionary, businessman and financier behind the creation of the Canadian Pacific Railway, and is the namesake of the adjacent Stephen Avenue.

Bow Valley Square is a four-tower office tower complex located in downtown Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The complex constructed in stages between 1972 and 1982 was home to Calgary's tallest building between 1974 and 1976. The complex is owned by Alberta Investment Management Corporation, OMERS and Oxford Properties Group.

The Bow is a 158,000-square-metre (1,700,000 sq ft) skyscraper in downtown Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The 236 metre (774 ft) building is currently the second tallest office tower in Calgary, since construction of Cenovus' Brookfield Place; and the third tallest in Canada outside Toronto. The Bow is also considered the start of redevelopment in Calgary's Downtown East Village. It was completed in 2012 and was ranked among the top 10 architectural projects in the world of that year according to Azure magazine. It was built for oil and gas company Encana, and was the headquarters of its successors Ovintiv and Cenovus.

7 Avenue Southwest is a planned and approved CTrain light rail station in Calgary, Alberta, Canada part of the Green Line. Construction will begin in 2024 and complete in 2027 as part of construction stage one, phase one.The station is underground in the city's high density urban core at the intersection of 7 Avenue / 2 Street SW. It will be the busiest station on the Green Line, and is the primary transfer point to the existing Red Line and Blue Line. The station will also connect riders to the Calgary International Airport via BRT Route 300 and the southwestern bus rapid transit (BRT) transitway via MAX Yellow. The station is surrounded by numerous high density commercial, residential, retail and mixed-use towers, and is near some of Calgary's most iconic skyscrapers that define the city's skyline, such as the Telus Sky, The Bow, the Calgary Tower, and Brookfield Place. Also near the station is Stephen Avenue, the Central Library, Arts Commons, the CORE Centre, City Hall, Devonian Gardens, the University of Calgary downtown campus, SAIT Culinary Campus and Bow Valley College.

TC Energy Tower (formerly TransCanada Tower) is a high-rise office building located at 450 1 Street SW in the downtown core of Calgary, Alberta, Canada. It has 38 stories, stands at 177 meters (581 ft) tall, and was completed in 2001. It was designed by the architectural firm Cohos Evamy. The tower overlooks James Short Park. The TC Energy Tower houses the head offices of TC Energy (formerly TransCanada Corporation).

Fifth Avenue Place is a high-rise skyscraper complex in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. It was originally called Esso Plaza. It occupies the entire area of a city block, between 4th and 5th Avenue South and 1st and 2nd Street West in Downtown Calgary. The buildings are managed by Brookfield Properties.
