Chinatown is an area of Liverpool that is an ethnic enclave home to the oldest Chinese community in Europe. Located in the south of the city centre, Chinatown has many Chinese businesses, such as Chinese restaurants and supermarkets, and facilities for the Chinese community. The area is also notable for its Chinese-style architecture; with the paifang on Nelson Street being the largest, multiple-span arch of its kind outside China.

Great George Street Congregational Church is on the corner of Great George Street and Nelson Street, Liverpool, Merseyside, England. It is no longer in use as a Congregational church, and has been converted into a community arts centre. Formerly nicknamed The Blackie, it has since been officially named The Black-E. The former church is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade II listed building.

Dukes Terrace is an historic terraced house in the English city of Liverpool, Merseyside. A Grade II listed building, the terrace, which includes nine homes, was built in 1843, and is the last of the back-to-back building style in Liverpool. Originally the home of the employees of wealthy merchants, the property was condemned in the 1930s but avoided demolition because the tenants did not want to leave the community. It had fallen into dereliction by the 1970s and lay vacant for over thirty years. The building was restored and converted into apartments and housing in 2003.The terrace is part of the Duke Street Conservation Area in the Georgian Quarter of the city centre that was built to service the "Old Dock" of 1715.A statue of William Huskisson (1770–1830) stands in the car park in front of the terrace. Huskisson reportedly became the first railway passenger casualty when he was run over and fatally wounded by Robert Stephenson's pioneering locomotive Rocket.

St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church is a former church in Seel Street, Liverpool, Merseyside, England now transformed into a restaurant and bar called Alma de Cuba - "the soul of Cuba". St. Peter's was built in 1788 by Rev A.B. MacDonald of the Order of St Benedict (O.S.B.); the area was mostly rural at the time. The church survived as a Catholic building until 1976, after which it served the local Polish community for a short time. For this reason it is affectionately known as 'the Polish Church'. Until its closure, St. Peter's was the oldest Catholic Church in Liverpool. It is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade II listed building.

The Whitehouse was a pub in a Grade II listed building in Duke Street, Liverpool, England. The side of the building had an image of a giant rat holding a marker pen by graffiti artist Banksy. In February 2010, the building sold for £114,000 at auction, and has since been turned into a restaurant called Petit Cafe du Coin, following the removal and sale of the rat mural.

The Church of St Vincent de Paul is a Roman Catholic parish church in St James Street, Liverpool, England. It is an active parish church in the Archdiocese of Liverpool and the Pastoral Area of Liverpool South. The church is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade II* listed building.

The Bandwagon was a club night held on the first Saturday of every month at the Zanzibar club on Seel Street, Liverpool from 2001 to 2005. The Bandwagon night was run by John Robinson and Gary Murphy, members of the now defunct Liverpool band The Bandits. The Bandwagon was seen as a focal part of the local music scene, dubbed the Cosmic Scouse Scene by the NME, which emerged in Liverpool in the early 2000s. The Coral, The Zutons, The Stands, Tramp Attack and The Hokum Clones were all Bandwagon regulars, who forged their reputations at the night. The Bandwagon also played host to The Libertines and Noel Gallagher.The Bandwagon drew attention from the media, particularly the NME, and was the subject of a feature on Channel Four’s 4music who filmed in the venue on a night when members of The Stands, The Bandits and The Hokum Clones joined on stage to play a cover of Bob Dylan’s Maggie’s Farm. The Bandwagon played a guest night at the Knitting Factory in New York in October 2003.The Bandwagon club night ended as a regular night in 2005 when The Bandits broke up, and has continued only sporadically since then. A similar night called Bandwagonesque, now takes place in The Metropolitan on Berry Street, some 150 yards (140 m) away from the previous venue. A promotional sticker for the Bandwagon club night is found on an entry in Pete Doherty’s journal, Books of Albion in an entry detailing a night out he had with John Robinson and Gary Murphy of The Bandits.

The Zanzibar is a live music venue located on Seel Street in Liverpool, England best known for being the home of regular clubnights such as "The Bandwagon" and "Valhalla" among others. Unlike most clubs in Liverpool, the music is generally rock and alternative. The venue tends to specialise in unsigned bands, unlike the larger East Village Arts Club (previously known as Liverpool Barfly and later Masque Theatre) located on the opposite side of the road. However, many notable acts have played at The Zanzibar such as Noel Gallagher, The Coral, The Zutons, The Revelation, The Music, The Libertines, Miles Kane, Orjazzmic, Sisteray, Brendan Benson, Edgar Jones, The 1975, The Music, The Soundtrack Of Our Lives, Shack and Tom Vek and is a participating venue in Liverpool Sound City. The Club itself holds around 300 people, and is divided into two main areas - a long narrow dancefloor which is in front of the stage, and a raised seating area which runs parallel down one side, with the bar flanking the other side of the dancefloor. There was an upstairs area of the club generally used as a private backstage area for band members, but occasionally it was open to the public, most notably at the Valhalla clubnight run by Wirral-based band "The Laze" where there is a separate stage and PA system set up featuring predominantly acoustic acts or DJs as an alternative to the heavier rock bands that tend to populate the main stage downstairs. The upstairs now incorporates a bar that is open separately to the main club. Price on the door varies according to what event is on a particular night, but is usually between £3 and £5. The venue also has a cloakroom service.

Bibby Line is a UK company concerned with shipping and marine operations. Its parent company, Bibby Line Group Limited, can be traced back to John Bibby who founded the company in 1807. The company along with the group is based in Liverpool. Since 2007, Bibby Line Group and its employees have donated over £10 million and thousands of volunteering hours to over 1,000 charitable causes.

FACT Liverpool is a new media arts centre in Liverpool, England. The building houses galleries, a cinema operated by Picturehouse, a bar and a café.

RopeWalks is a name given to a vicinity of Liverpool city centre that runs from Lydia Ann Street to Renshaw Street widthways, and from Roscoe Street to Hanover Street lengthwise. The name is derived from the craft of rope-making for sailing ships that dominated the area until the 19th century. It is characterised by its long, straight streets running parallel to each other. The streets were built in this way to allow rope manufacturers to lay the ropes out lengthways during production. There are a number of historic warehouse buildings and it owes much of its character to the rope-making industry. The area includes the Foundation for Art and Creative Technology, Europe's oldest established Chinatown, the grand façade of St. Luke's bombed-out Church, and a number of cafés, bars and clubs. Ropes were made in fields but ropemakers bought or rented thin long strips of land. It was the sale of these thin strips, one by one at different times, that led to long thin streets with few interconnections. The streets themselves were not used in manufacture, the roperies pre-dated the streets.

Cream is a nightclub that originally began as a weekly house music night at the now-demolished Nation nightclub in Liverpool. It ran in this format from October 1992 to June 2002. Cream also hosts the dance music festival Creamfields every August in Daresbury, Cheshire. Creamfields has won the award for Best Dance Event at the UK Festival Awards a record six times since the awards began 10 years ago, most recently in December 2014. In 2010, they also won the Music Week award for "Festival of the Year".In 2012, Live Nation acquired the Cream brand.Cream's home in Wolstenholme Square, Liverpool was demolished in 2016 as part of an urban regeneration project. Plans to build a new home for the nightclub as part of the development were retrospectively removed from the planning application.
