The Strip District is a neighborhood in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, United States. It is a one-half square mile area of land northeast of the central business district bordered to the north by the Allegheny River and to the south by portions of the Hill District. The Strip District runs between 11th and 33rd Streets and includes four main thoroughfares—Railroad Street/Waterfront Place, Smallman Street, Penn Avenue, and Liberty Avenue—as well as various side streets. Once home to many mills and factories, today the Strip District is home to dozens of tech and robotics companies including a rapidly growing residential population.

Primanti Brothers (, locally ) is a chain of sandwich shops in the eastern United States, founded in and most closely associated with, as a cultural icon of, Pittsburgh. Founded in 1933, the chain is known for its signature sandwiches of grilled meat, melted cheese, an oil and vinegar-based coleslaw, tomato slices, and French fries between two thick slices of Italian bread.During the 2007 James Beard Foundation Awards, Primanti's was named as one of "America's Classic" restaurants.

The Pittsburgh Produce Terminal, formerly the Pennsylvania Fruit Auction & Sales Building, is a building located at 2100 Smallman Street in the Strip District neighborhood of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Built in 1926, the Produce Terminal stretches 1,533 feet long over five blocks. It previously served as the hub for local wholesale produce businesses, as well as retail markets and art galleries. After years of sitting partially vacant, the building is in the final stages of a $62.6 million renovation by McCaffery Interests.

Pamela's Diner is a prominent chain of diners in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA. Its specialties are crêpe-style pancakes, omelets and Lyonnaise potatoes. It is "treasured" and is considered to be in the "pantheon of pancake purveyors". In 2013, Pamela's Diner was featured by the Wall Street Journal in a "What to Do in Pittsburgh" feature story.Pamela's Diner is owned by Gail Klingensmith and Pam Cohen. Both educated as teachers, the business partners handle different tasks, Klingensmith with the more business end and Cohen as "the culinary artist". The first Pamela's Diner location, in the Squirrel Hill neighborhood, opened in 1979. Subsequent locations have opened in Shadyside, the Strip District, Millvale, Oakland and Mt. Lebanon.During the 2008 United States presidential election, Barack Obama visited Pamela's Diner for a campaign visit. Once elected, President Obama invited Klingensmith and Cohen to the White House for a Memorial Day breakfast with the Obama family and 80 veterans. Later that year, during the 2009 G-20 Pittsburgh summit, President Obama expressed dismay that he was unable to return to Pamela's Diner during that trip, but First Lady Michelle Obama did visit. Incidentally, the Oakland storefront received damage during the protests that accompanied the G-20 summit. Pamela's Diner announced in December 2021 that their original Squirrel Hill location will be closing largely due to COVID-19. With the loss of several long-time employees, the location decided to shut its doors. As the first Pamela's Diner location, it has been around 42 years. The other diner locations will stay open, however. The owners hinted that they are open to another, smaller Squirrel Hill location in the future.

St. Stanislaus Kostka Church in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, referred to in Polish as Kościół Świętego Stanisława Kostki is a historic church of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Pittsburgh. Located in the Strip District in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, United States, it is a prime example of the so-called 'Polish Cathedral' style of churches. It is known also as 21st and Smallman Street Church. It is listed on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places.

August Wilson House at 1727 Bedford Avenue in the Crawford-Roberts neighborhood of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, United States, was built in the 1840s and was the childhood home for his first 12 years of playwright August Wilson (1945–2005). The house was placed on the List of City of Pittsburgh historic designations on February 26, 2008, and it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on April 30, 2013.

The York Assembly Rooms is an 18th-century assembly rooms building in York, England, originally used as a place for high class social gatherings in the city. The building is situated on Blake Street and is a Grade I listed building.Designed by Richard Boyle, 3rd Earl of Burlington it is one of the earliest Palladian buildings in Northern England and possibly the earliest neoclassical building in Europe. Construction began in 1730 and was completed in 1735, but it was used beginning in 1732. After a fire in 1773, alterations were made to the Lesser Assembly Room to the designs of Sir John O'Corall. The front steps of the portico were later replaced by an internal set in 1791. Lord Burlington's original front facade was replaced in 1828 by a Greek Revival portico designed by J. P. Pritchett.In 1925, York Corporation purchased the building and made further alterations in 1939 through 1951. The York Conservation Trust purchased the Assembly Rooms in 2002 and are responsible for the building's maintenance. It currently operates as an Ask Italian but is open for public viewing.

Bar Marco is a restaurant and bar located in the Strip District of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. It was named one of the Top 50 Best New Restaurants by Bon Appétit Magazine, and was added to Thrillist’s Top 33 Cocktails Bars in the USA.Bar Marco was founded in 2011 by Kevin Cox, Justin Steel, Michael Kreha, and Bobby Fry. Bar Marco received extensive media coverage when it announced the decision to eliminate tipping and instead pay its employees a $35,000 yearly salary.

St. Joseph's House of Hospitality is a home for homeless men in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. It was founded in 1937 by the Catholic Radical Alliance on the principles of the Catholic Worker Movement, and is named for St. Joseph the Worker. As a house of hospitality, the homeless are guests of the house, similar to being guests of a family, and they are charged a fee based on a sliding scale. Past resident directors have included Monsignor Charles Owen Rice. During the early 1950s the House, then in Tannehill Street, was managed by Paul J Rudzik, who lived on the premises with his wife and two daughters. It has moved from its original location, but is still in the Hill District at 1635 Bedford Avenue, Pittsburgh PA (+1 412 471-0666). The current facility provides single-occupancy locked rooms. It is operated by Catholic Charities of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Pittsburgh.There are or were similar houses with the same name in New York City and Rochester, New York.

The Pittsburgh–Weirton–Steubenville, PA–OH–WV Combined Statistical Area is a 13-county combined statistical (CSA) in the United States. The largest and principal in the area is Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, but the CSA includes population centers from three states: Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and Ohio. The statistical area was officially defined by the U.S. Census Bureau in 2013 and revised in 2023. The estimated population of the area was 2,635,228 in mid-2016.

The Armstrong Cork Company (formerly of Armstrong World Industries) was a cork manufacturer located at 2349 Railroad Street in the Strip District neighborhood of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The company's building was built circa 1901, and designed by architect Frederick J. Osterling. The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places on May 10, 2005, and to the List of Pittsburgh History and Landmarks Foundation Historic Landmarks in 2007.Today, the building is maintained as loft apartments (since May 2007), and is called "The Cork Factory " (also known as the "Cork Factory Lofts", and "The Cork Factory - loft apartments on the river").Armstrong Cork Company eventually moved its headquarters to Lancaster, Pennsylvania. The company's product lines evolved from cork products and Linoleum, to vinyl floors and acoustical ceiling products.

The Letsche Elementary School (also known as Letsche Alternative Learning Center and Letsche Education Center) located in the Crawford–Roberts neighborhood of in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania is a building from 1905. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.
