Horsehills Creek is a creek that flows in the far northeastern corridor of the city of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. The creek is a minor tributary to the North Saskatchewan River and is surrounded by agricultural fields and native vegetation. The City of Edmonton considers Horsehills Creek a designated protected site, because of the flora and fauna located in patches of forest and wetlands.

Evergreen, or Evergreen Community, is a neighbourhood in the rural northeast portion of the City of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. A manufactured home community, it is located at the northwest corner of 167 Avenue NW and Meridian Street. Evergreen had a population of 1,450 according to Edmonton's 2012 municipal census.The community is represented by the Edmonton Evergreen Community Association, established in 1982, which runs a community hall located at Evergreen Drive and Cedar Avenue.

The Edmonton Composting Facility was the site of the Canadian City of Edmonton's co-composting system for processing organic waste. Co-composting involves mixing household waste with biosolids (sewage sludge), and using microorganisms to break them down into simple compost. Waste was separated from general garbage. In 2017 structural issues were identified in the roof of the aeration hall and by spring of 2019 conditions had deteriorated to the point that it was no longer safe to continue to operate the facility. The facility will be demolished and organic waste will be directed to the recently completed Anaerobic Digestion Facility.

Edmonton–Sherwood Park was a federal electoral district in Alberta, Canada, that was represented in the House of Commons of Canada from 2004 to 2015. It was a suburban riding in Edmonton.

It has rule books which prevent inmates from calls to the media without prior authorization. It is operated by Correctional Service of Canada. It is part of the Prairie Regions institutions, the Regional Headquarters is located in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan

Alberta Hospital Edmonton is a psychiatric hospital operating under the governance of Alberta Health Services. It is located in the northeastern portion of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, and was founded on July 1, 1923. The site is serviced by Edmonton Transit Service bus route 121. Admission and continuing treatment at Alberta Hospital Edmonton can be voluntary, formal under the Mental Health Act, or in the Forensic Psychiatry Program under the Criminal Code. Referral agents include physicians, mental health professionals, other health care facilities, community agencies, courts, corrections, police, and family, in addition to self-referral. Each Alberta Hospital Edmonton program has an inpatient and a community component. Interdisciplinary teams are made up of program managers, psychiatrists, psychologists, psychometrists, nurses, psychiatric aides, social workers, occupational therapists, recreation therapists, physiotherapists, therapy assistants, counselors, pharmacists, dietitians, chaplains and support staff.

Edmonton-Beverly-Clareview is a provincial electoral district for the Legislative Assembly of Alberta, Canada. The electoral district covers the neighbourhoods of Beverly, Belmont Park and Clareview Town Centre. It was created in 1996, and was first contested in the 1997 election. It was last contested in the 2019 election, and has been held by Deron Bilous of the NDP since 2012.

Archbishop Jordan High School is an academic Catholic secondary school located in Sherwood Park, Alberta, Canada. It was founded in 1969 and is named after Archbishop Anthony Jordan. The school motto - scri crui crediti - is based on Jordan's motto; scio crui crediti and the school football team, the Scots, is named after Jordan's Scottish birthplace.The school was originally located on the corner of Brentwood Blvd and Oak Street. In 2013 a new larger building, accommodating up to 1,400 students, was built, and the old building was repurposed as a middle school. The new location is in Emerald Hill subdivision.The new larger building has allowed the school to offer a wider variety of course, including Cosmetics, Dance, foods courses and design classes. There are multiple sports teams students can join such as a football team, soccer team, rugby team, swimming team and more. Archbishop Jordan students participate in many competitive sports events, in particular soccer and handball. Other school events are: Dramatic productions, ABJ talent show, The Scots nominees, and the Ultimate Scavenger Hunt. As of 2017, the Emerald Hills Leisure Center opened just adjacent to the school, providing students with the opportunity to join swimming teams and do something in their spare time. ABJ is also home to a French Language Arts program that includes Math, Social studies and French classes. This provides students with a French background, or new students who wish to learn the basics of the language, the opportunity to do so with qualified teachers who care about their students.

Clover Bar Bridge and Beverly Bridge are a pair of bridges that span the North Saskatchewan River in the city of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. The twin spans carry 6 lanes total of Yellowhead Trail, the name given to Alberta Highway 16 within Edmonton city limits. Clover Bar Bridge, the original truss span, was completed in the summer of 1953 and connected Beverly with mostly rural Strathcona County. Beverly was amalgamated with the City of Edmonton eight years later. Once the original span could no longer handle traffic volume, a steel girder bridge was built just to the south to carry eastbound traffic. This bridge, completed in 1972 is called the Beverly Bridge.The Clover Bar Railway Bridge is just to the north of the original span. This 504 metres (1,654 ft) long and 42 metres (138 ft) high bridge was built in 1907-08 as an iron and concrete truss by the Grand Trunk Pacific Railway company and is still in use.

The Strathcona Community Hospital is located in Sherwood Park, Alberta, Canada, and provides 27 hospital beds with sufficient infrastructure capacity for 36 additional beds in the future. The hospital opened on May 21, 2014. The hospital development was an issue in the Strathcona County municipal election, 2010. The incumbent mayor, Cathy Olesen, was defeated by Linda Osinchuk who ran a campaign attacking contemporary plans for the hospital which involved no overnight beds. After the election, the Alberta government announced revised plans to add beds to the hospital. The project broke ground in 2007 and was expected to be completed in late 2009, but was put on hold due to the down turn in the economy. Construction was resumed in spring 2010 and was completed in 2014.

The Edmonton tornado of 1987, an event also known as Black Friday to Edmontonians, was a powerful and devastating tornado that ripped through the eastern parts of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada and parts of neighbouring Strathcona County on the afternoon of Friday, July 31, 1987. It was one of seven other tornadoes in central Alberta the same day.The tornado peaked at F4 on the Fujita scale and remained on the ground for an hour, cutting a swath of destruction 30.8 km (19.1 mi) in length and up to 1.3 km (0.81 mi) wide in some places. It killed 27 people, and injured more than 300, destroyed more than 300 homes, and caused more than C$332.27 million (equivalent to $687 million in 2021) in property damage at four major disaster sites. The loss of life, injuries and destruction of property made it the worst natural disaster in Alberta's recent history and one of the worst in Canada's history. Weather forecasts issued during the morning and early afternoon of July 31, 1987 for Edmonton revealed a recognition by Environment Canada of a high potential for unusually severe thunderstorms that afternoon. Environment Canada responded swiftly upon receipt of the first report of a tornado touchdown from a resident of Leduc County which is immediately adjacent to Edmonton's southern boundary.

Clareview is a residential area in the northeast portion of the city of Edmonton in Alberta, Canada. It was established in 1972 through Edmonton City Council's adoption of the Clareview Outline Plan, which guides the overall development of the area. Clareview station is the northern terminus of the Edmonton Light Rail Transit.
