Vahrn (German pronunciation: [ˈfaːɐ̯n]; Italian: Varna [ˈvarna]) is a comune (municipality) in South Tyrol in northern Italy, located about 35 kilometres (22 mi) northeast of the city of Bolzano.

Franzensfeste (German: [ˈfrantsn̩sˌfɛstə]; Italian: Fortezza [forˈtettsa]) is a comune and a village in South Tyrol in northern Italy. It is named after the large Franzensfeste Fortress erected from 1833 to 1838 and Franzensfeste station is also known as an important railway hub.

Neustift Abbey, or Novacella Abbey, (German: Kloster Neustift; Italian: Abbazia di Novacella) is an Augustinian abbey in the municipality of Vahrn in the northern Italian province of South Tyrol. It was elevated to the status of a basilica in May 1956 and received the honorific of a basilica minor by Pope Pius XII.

Pope Benedict XVI, whose maternal grandmother and great grandmother were born there, became an honorary citizen of the city in October 2011.

The "White Tower" (in German Weißer Turm German pronunciation: [ˈvaɪ̯sɐ ˈtʊrm]) is located in Brixen (German pronunciation: [ˈbrɪksn̩]; Italian: Bressanone [bressaˈnoːne]; Ladin: Porsenù or Persenon), a small town in South Tyrol, Italy. It dates back to the 15th century. The Gothic tower stands 72m tall and the cathedral close to it is dedicated to Saint Michael. Along with the two towers of the Cathedral of Brixen, it is one of the emblems of the city's bishopric. It has about 200 stairs which lead to the complex carillon mechanism of 43 bells. After its restoration in 2006, the White Tower is used as a museum. The White Tower is a registered cultural heritage monument (number 14186) in South Tyrol.

Meransen (Italian Maranza) is a village in South Tyrol, Italy, in the Mühlbach municipality between Pustertal and Eisacktal. It located on the slopes of the Gitschberg mountain at an altitude of 1,414 m (4,639 ft).The village has a population of around 850. During the winter season, the mountain is part of the Gitschberg Jochtal skiing area, which has several lifts and three aerial tramways. Meransen can be reached by motor vehicle or by the Meransner Bahn aerial tramway from Mühlbach. The oldest documentation dates from 1200, where the village is named 'Morancin'. The local economy is based on tourism and farming.

Eisack Valley (Italian: Valle Isarco [ˈvalle iˈzarko]; German: Eisacktal) is a district (Italian: comprensorio; German: Bezirksgemeinschaft) in South Tyrol, Italy. It comprises the middle part of the valley of the Eisack, from Franzensfeste in the north to Waidbruck in the south.
