The Doll House was a restaurant in Palm Springs which was run by Ethel and George Strebe from 1946. It was first mentioned by a local newspaper as an entrant in a local parade in 1935. It was patronised by celebrities who were entertained by other stars such as Peggy Lee. It closed in 1966, being replaced by an Italian restaurant, Sorrentino's. One of the staff employed there was Naomi Parker who is thought to be the woman in the We Can Do It! poster.

Torney General Hospital was a US Army Hospital in Palm Springs, California, in Riverside County used during World War II. Parts of Torney General Hospital are now the Desert Regional Medical Center. In November 1945 Torney General Hospital was closed and the Federal Works Administration sold the site. The Torney General Hospital became the Palm Springs Desert Hospital and the Palm Springs Desert Medical Plaza. The hospital is now called the Desert Regional Medical Center. The El Mirador Tower is still a landmark at the entrance to the hospital.

The Villa Hermosa is a mid-century modern private complex in the Old Las Palmas neighborhood of Palm Springs, California, United States. Located at 155 W Hermosa Place, near North Palm Canyon Drive and West El Alameda, it was originally commissioned as a residential hotel for winter visitors by C.K. Fulton in 1946. The property was featured in photos by Julius Shulman in 1947, and subsequently recognized locally as historically significant.Designed by architect Albert Frey, as "an ode to international style modernism" with railings outfitted with yellow canvas, Villa Hermosa is an "assembly of stacked and terraced apartments that forms a partial enclosure around a garden and a pool that is oriented to a mountain view...with access to all apartments through the garden". In 2001, The New York Times Magazine ranked the building among the top five "most intact and notable" of the 200 projects Frey designed in Palm Springs between 1934 and 1988. Former residents include Edgar J. Kaufmann who rented one of the apartments while Richard Neutra was completing construction on Kaufmann House.

On May 17, 2025, a car bombing occurred at a reproductive center in Palm Springs, California, United States, leaving one person near the vehicle, later confirmed to be the perpetrator, dead and four others injured. The explosion was described as one of the largest bombing investigations that the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has investigated in Southern California since the Aliso Viejo package bombing that killed one person and seriously injured two others in 2018. The perpetrator was identified as Guy Edward Bartkus, a 25-year-old man from Twentynine Palms, California. He was the only person killed in the attack, and his motives stemmed from the ideologies of promortalism, "anti-pro-life", and efilism. Bartkus's alleged co-conspirator, Daniel Jongyon Park, died while in custody on June 24, 2025.

Koffi is a small chain of coffee shops the U.S. state of California. The business was established in Palm Springs in 2008. There are four locations, including three in Palm Springs and another in Rancho Mirage. John Abner and John Strohm are owners. The original location opened in the 2000s. In addition to coffee, the business serves baked goods such as muffins and scones. Palm Springs Koffi North is located on North Palm Canyon Drive. It has a landscaped garden. The fourth location opened on Tahquitz Canyon Way.

Robolights is an art installation in Palm Springs, California. It consists of sculptures that were made by Kenny Irwin starting in 1986 and surround his house at 1077 E Granvia Valmonte. All the sculptures are made from recycled materials. It is a popular attraction during the holiday season in the winter, with around 60,000 visitors in 2018. It is the largest residential, private, Christmas lights display in the United States.

A mural depicting George Floyd was painted in Palm Springs, California, in 2020. In 2021, the Palm Springs Public Arts Commission was seeking to relocate the mural. In 2024, the commission voted to allocate funds to restore the vandalized mural in its original location.

Twin Palms, also known as the Frank Sinatra House, at 1148 East Alejo Rd is a mid-century modern house in the Movie Colony–El Mirador neighborhood of Palm Springs, California. The house was designed by E. Stewart Williams, to a commission from the American singer and actor Frank Sinatra. The house was Williams's first residential commission.
