The Villa Hermosa is a mid-century modern private complex in the Old Las Palmas neighborhood of Palm Springs, California, United States. Located at 155 W Hermosa Place, near North Palm Canyon Drive and West El Alameda, it was originally commissioned as a residential hotel for winter visitors by C.K. Fulton in 1946. The property was featured in photos by Julius Shulman in 1947, and subsequently recognized locally as historically significant.Designed by architect Albert Frey, as "an ode to international style modernism" with railings outfitted with yellow canvas, Villa Hermosa is an "assembly of stacked and terraced apartments that forms a partial enclosure around a garden and a pool that is oriented to a mountain view...with access to all apartments through the garden". In 2001, The New York Times Magazine ranked the building among the top five "most intact and notable" of the 200 projects Frey designed in Palm Springs between 1934 and 1988. Former residents include Edgar J. Kaufmann who rented one of the apartments while Richard Neutra was completing construction on Kaufmann House.

On May 17, 2025, a car bombing occurred at a reproductive center in Palm Springs, California, United States, leaving one person near the vehicle, later confirmed to be the perpetrator, dead and four others injured. The explosion was described as one of the largest bombing investigations that the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has investigated in Southern California since the Aliso Viejo package bombing that killed one person and seriously injured two others in 2018. The perpetrator was identified as Guy Edward Bartkus, a 25-year-old man from Twentynine Palms, California. He was the only person killed in the attack, and his motives stemmed from the ideologies of promortalism, "anti-pro-life", and efilism. Bartkus's alleged co-conspirator, Daniel Jongyon Park, died while in custody on June 24, 2025.

Torney General Hospital was a US Army Hospital in Palm Springs, California, in Riverside County used during World War II. Parts of Torney General Hospital are now the Desert Regional Medical Center. In November 1945 Torney General Hospital was closed and the Federal Works Administration sold the site. The Torney General Hospital became the Palm Springs Desert Hospital and the Palm Springs Desert Medical Plaza. The hospital is now called the Desert Regional Medical Center. The El Mirador Tower is still a landmark at the entrance to the hospital.

Margaritaville Resort Palm Springs is a resort hotel in Palm Springs, California. It occupies 16 acres (6.5 ha), and includes 398 rooms, as well as 40,000 sq ft (3,700 m2) of meeting and banquet space. The property opened as the Riviera in 1959. It included the city's first convention center, and a golf course that operated for the next two decades. Ownership of the resort has changed numerous times since the 1960s. The property was known as the Riviera for much of its history, sometimes operating under variations such as Holiday Inn-Riviera (1965–1969) and Hilton Riviera (1978–1988), in affiliation with Holiday Inn and Hilton Hotels respectively. It also once operated as the Radisson Palm Springs Resort (1988–1992), in partnership with Radisson Hotels. The Riviera was closed from 2006 to 2008, allowing for a $70 million renovation. It closed again in 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic, and was rebranded by the end of the year as a Margaritaville resort, becoming the chain's first location on the U.S. west coast. It is owned by Apollo Global Management and DiNapoli Capital Partners through a joint venture known as AGRE DCP Palm Springs.

The Kaufmann Desert House, or simply the Kaufmann House, is a house in Palm Springs, California, that was designed by architect Richard Neutra in 1946. It was commissioned by Edgar J. Kaufmann, Sr., a businessman who also commissioned Fallingwater by Frank Lloyd Wright.The house has been described as "an architectural marvel that helped define the modernist aesthetic of the resort city of Palm Springs".It is designated a Class 1 Historic Site by Palm Springs City Council.
