St. Martin (Kirchdorf an der Amper)

Kirchdorf an der Amper is a municipality in the district of Freising in Bavaria Germany, on the Amper River.

The Glonn is a river of Upper Bavaria, Bavaria, Germany. The Glonn is 51.7 kilometres (32.1 mi) long. It rises southeast of Mittelstetten in the district of Fürstenfeldbruck. It is the main tributary of the Amper; at Allershausen near Freising it discharges from the left into the Amper. The Glonn flows through an agriculturally used area in the triangle between Augsburg, Freising and Dachau. Larger places in its course are Odelzhausen, Erdweg, Markt Indersdorf, Weichs, Petershausen and Hohenkammer.

Kranzberg is a municipality in the district of Freising in Bavaria in Germany. At Bernstorf, a part within the municipality of Kranzberg, a Bronze Age fortification was found in 1904 by local historian Josef Wenzl. It was dated at around 1360 B.C. and is the largest known Bronze Age settlement north of the Alps. Most significant were finds of gold and amber objects which contained writings in Mycenaean Greek Linear B. These objects were found by amateur archaeologists Manfred Moosauer and Traudl Bachmair in 1998. The objects are now kept in the national Bavarian archaeological collection in Munich.

The Sichtungsgarten Weihenstephan (Trial Garden Weihenstephan) is a 7 ha garden maintained by the Fachhochschule Weihenstephan. It is located at Am Staudengarten 9, Weihenstephan, Freising, Bavaria, Germany, and is open daily from April to October. Admission is free. Along with several other gardens located at Weihenstephan (Hofgarten, Oberdickgarten, Parterregarten, Kleingarten, Arboretum), the Sichtungsgarten is part of the Weihenstephaner Gärten (Gardens of Weihenstephan). The garden was founded by Richard Hansen in 1948. It now contains a large variety of trees, shrubs and herbaceous perennials and is primarily focused on education and training for students of horticulture and landscape architecture. The garden is renowned for its spectacular flower beds and borders, best to be appreciated between June and September.

Weihenstephan Abbey (Kloster Weihenstephan) was a Benedictine monastery in Weihenstephan, now part of the district of Freising, in Bavaria, Germany. Brauerei Weihenstephan, located at the monastery site since at least 1040, is said to be the world's oldest continuously operating brewery.

The Bayerische Staatsbrauerei Weihenstephan (Bavarian State Brewery of Weihenstephan) is a German brewery located on the site of the former Weihenstephan Abbey in Freising, Bavaria. In 2014, the total output was 382,341 hectolitres (325,819 US bbl). The brewery advertises itself as "The World's Oldest Brewery".
