Prague-Čakovice

Čakovice (German Tschakowitz) is a municipal district (městská část) in Prague. It is located in the north-eastern part of the city. As of 2021, there were 11,984 inhabitants living in Čakovice. The municipal district consists of three cadastral areas (katastrální území): Čakovice, Miškovice and Třeboradice. The Čakovice cadastre has an area of 3.83 km2 and a population of about 8,000 inhabitants. The first written record of Čakovice is from the 11th century. The town became part of Prague in 1968.

Praha-Čakovice railway station (Czech: Železniční stanice Praha-Čakovice) is a station located in Čakovice, in the northern outer suburbs of Prague, on line 070 between Prague and Turnov. It serves as a passing loop on a mainly single-tracked section of the line for lines S3 and R3 of the Esko Prague system. In 2009 the station building was refurbished. In 2018, the station was proposed as a future terminus station of Line C of the Prague Metro.

Třeboradice is a cadastral district in the municipal part Čakovice in the administrative district Prague 18 in Prague, Czech Republic, with a population of c. 700 people.

Letov is an aircraft company located in Letňany, Prague, Czech Republic. It is the oldest aircraft company in the region.

Letňany is an area of Prague, Czech Republic. It was founded in 1307, and became part of Prague in 1968. It has been part of the Prague 9 administrative district since 2001, having previously been in the local government district of Prague 18, and it has its own cadastral area (also called "Prague 18"). It has become one of the richest districts in Prague.There is a large shopping mall, "Obchodní centrum Letňany", which has a shopping area in excess of 125,000 m2.Letňany was the site of the aircraft industry (Avia and Letov), but as the industry gradually declined Letňany became a mostly residential district. There are two airports – the non-public international Letňany airport and Kbely military airport. Nearby Letňany metro station opened in May 2008, on the new extension of Line C on the Prague Metro.

Air Accidents Investigation Institute (AAII, Czech: Ústav pro odborné zjišťování příčin leteckých nehod, ÚZPLN) is the Czech Republic government agency investigating aviation accidents and incidents. It is headquartered in Letňany, 18th district, Prague.

Prague 18 is a municipal district (městská část) in Prague. It is located in the north-eastern part of the city. It is formed by one cadastre Letňany. As of 2008, there were 16,433 inhabitants living in Prague 18. The administrative district (správní obvod) of the same name consists of municipal districts Prague 18 and Čakovice.

Czech Dream (Czech: Český sen) is a 2004 documentary film directed by two Czech film directors, Vít Klusák and Filip Remunda. It recorded a large-scale hoax perpetrated by Klusák and Remunda on the Czech public, culminating in the opening event of a fake hypermarket in the Letňany neighborhood of Prague. The film was their graduation project for film school.

Obchodní centrum Letňany, also known as OC Letňany is a shopping mall located in the Letňany district of Prague, Czech Republic. With 130 shops and an area of 125,000 square metres (1,350,000 sq ft), it is the largest shopping centre in the Czech Republic. The complex was described by The Prague Post in 2001 as "one of the best malls in the city". According to OC Letňany's marketing manager, over 10 million customers visited the shopping centre in 2008.

Kbely Aviation Museum (Letecké Muzeum Kbely) is the largest aviation museum in the Czech Republic and one of the largest of its kind in Europe. It is located to the north-east of Prague, at the military airport Kbely.

Letňany (Czech pronunciation: [ˈlɛtɲanɪ]) is a metro station on Line C of the Prague Metro. It is located about one kilometre south of Letňany, on the border between Letňany and Vysočany, near a tripoint with Kbely, and it belongs to section IV.C2 of Line C, connecting Letňany with Ládví. The station was opened on 8 May 2008 as the northern end of the extension from Ládví and has served since then as the new terminus of the line.
