Parque Patricios is a barrio located on the southern side of Buenos Aires, Argentina belonging to the fourth comuna. Parque Patricios underwent a transformation during the beginning of the 1900s. The government moved the main slaughterhouse to Mataderos, removed refuse piles and the notorious trash incinerators ("la quema") and the cemetery used during the 1871 yellow fever epidemic, now Parque Ameghino. Parks, a zoo and hospitals were put in their place. Parque Patricios received its name from the park of the same name, designed by Carlos Thays, the French architect who designed many of the most distinctive parks in the north of the city including the Botanical Garden and Bosques de Palermo. This barrio features many hospitals which treat patients from all parts of Argentina, as well as the notorious former Caseros Prison. It is also the home of Club Atlético Huracán, a First Division football team, and their stadium Estadio Tomás Adolfo Ducó. Parque Patricios is bordered by the barrios of Barracas and Nueva Pompeya to the south; Constitución to the east; San Cristóbal to the north; and Boedo to the west. In more recent years, the area has received connections to Line H of the Buenos Aires Underground, in particular at Parque Patricios station, connecting it to the network for the first time.The headquarters of the Government of Buenos Aires were moved to Parque Patricios in 2015, as part of a strategy to drive economic growth in the south and lessen the economic divide with the north of the city. The building was designed by British architect Norman Foster.

The Bernasconi Institute is an architecturally-significant primary school in the Parque Patricios section of Buenos Aires.

Caseros Station is a station on Line H of the Buenos Aires Underground. The station was opened on 18 October 2007, as the southern terminus of the inaugural section of the line, between Once - 30 de Diciembre and Caseros. It remained the line's southern terminus until the opening of Parque Patricios Station on 4 October 2011.

Inclán - Mezquita Al Ahmad is a station on Line H of the Buenos Aires Underground. Here passengers may transfer to Metrobus Sur. The station was opened on 18 October 2007, as part of the inaugural section of the line, between Once - 30 de Diciembre and Caseros.Originally named simply "Inclán" for Inclán Street, the station was renamed in 2016 to reference the nearby Al Ahmad Mosque.

The Caseros Prison (Spanish: Cárcel de Caseros) was a panopticon prison in Parque Patricios, a neighborhood in the southern part of Buenos Aires, Argentina. Caseros Prison was conceived by the military dictatorships of the 1960s, originally intended as a short term holding station for prisoners awaiting trial. It was built over the course of almost twenty years, from 1960 until 1979. Finished under the administration of the military junta presided over by dictator Jorge Rafael Videla, Caseros was opened in 1979 to house political prisoners. It was built next to an old prison of the same name, which was originally constructed as an orphanage in the 1880s. In the early 1950s, Juan Perón, cracking down on communists, used the old part to house political prisoners. The prison was closed down in 2001.

The Caseros Prison Demolition Project — 80,000 Tons, which contains 16 Tons and Aparecidos, is the work of artist Seth Wulsin. It uses the defunct Caseros Prison of Buenos Aires, Argentina and its demolition as raw materials. Aparecido is the past participle for the Spanish verb aparecer - to appear. Its second meaning is apparition or ghost. It may also refer in an oblique way to Argentina's Dirty War, in which an estimated 30,000 people, "Desaparecidos" were disappeared between 1976 and 1981 by the military junta, many of them thrown from airplanes into the Rio Plate.Sixteen Tons, the name of a popular song written in the late 1940s, referred to the amount of coal a miner was expected to load in a day, but in this context may refer to the amount of glass broken out through the installation, or de-installation, process. 80,000 tons is the approximate weight of the entire building, and the debris that the demolition produced.

The Al Ahmad Mosque (Spanish: Mezquita Al Ahmad) is an Islamic place of worship in Buenos Aires, Argentina, opened in 1985. It is the second oldest mosque in Buenos Aires but it is the oldest building with Islamic architecture in Argentina and it was designed by Ahmed and Elia Ham.It is located on Alberti St. 1541, San Cristobal neighbourhood. It has a minaret from which the muezzin issues the call for the five daily prays, the dome over the prayer hall also highlights. The Mosque is part of the Islamic Center of Argentina. The Al Ahmad Mosque attends a large number of Muslims on Fridays at noon for Friday Prayers (Jummah), the most important Muslim prayer of the week and hear the sermon delivered by the Imam (Prayer Leader). The nearby Inclán - Mezquita Al Ahmad station of Line H of the Buenos Aires Underground was partially named after the mosque.

Hospital de Pediatría S.A.M.I.C. "Prof. Dr. Juan P. Garrahan", commonly known as Hospital Garrahan, is a public hospital in Buenos Aires, Argentina, located in the neighborhood of Parque Patricios. Since it opened on 25 August 1987, it has become the leading public, free and high-complexity pediatric hospital in the country. It is a highly specialized medical center, with over 3000 employees, state-of-the-art technology and progressive cares. It is jointly funded by the federal government of Argentina (80%) and by the Buenos Aires City Government (20%).

The Infectious Diseases Hospital “Dr. Francisco Javier Muñiz" is a public metropolitan-area hospital serving Buenos Aires, Argentina and the surrounding area since 1882. As the name implies, the hospital specializes in infectious diseases. The address for the hospital is Uspallata 2272 and is located in the neighborhood of Parque Patricios in Buenos Aires.

Parque Patricios Station is a station on Line H of the Buenos Aires Underground. It was inaugurated on 4 October 2011 as the southern terminus of one-station extension from Caseros. It remained the terminus of the line until 27 May 2013, when the line was extended to Hospitales.

Jujuy is a station on Line E of the Buenos Aires Underground. From here, passengers may transfer to Humberto I station on Line H. The station was opened on 20 June 1944 as part of the inaugural section of the line from San José to General Urquiza.
