Sue Ellen's is a ladies bar or lesbian bar in Dallas, Texas' gayborhood of Oak Lawn. It first opened in Dallas on January 19, 1989, and moved to its current Throckmorton Street location in 2008. Sue Ellen's, a two-story nightclub, has a long history of being part of Dallas' queer nightlife, and is the state's oldest lesbian bar. It is named for Sue Ellen Ewing of Dallas fame and is considered the sister bar to nearby JR's.

The Village Station police raid was a police raid that targeted the Village Station, a gay bar in Dallas, Texas, United States. The raid occurred on October 25, 1979, and saw several bar patrons arrested for public lewdness while performing a bunny hop dance. The raid and the subsequent court cases involving those arrested are considered an important moment in the LGBT history of Dallas, with the impact it had on the city compared to that of the Stonewall riots of 1969. By the 1970s, Dallas's Oak Lawn neighborhood had become the city's gay village, and was home to several nightclubs and bars that catered to the LGBT community and had become the target of repeated police raids and other forms of discrimination. The Village Station was one such club, having relocated in mid-1979 after being destroyed in a 1976 arson. The 1979 raid, which occurred just before 1 a.m., led to the arrest of about ten patrons. While those arrested in similar Oak Lawn raids had usually pleaded guilty to avoid publicity, the Village Station raid was notable in that several arrestees fought the charges in court, leading to unprecedented public support from the local LGBT community and significant local news coverage. The events coincided with an increased push among Dallas's LGBT community for greater rights and less discrimination.

The Number 4 Hook and Ladder Company in Dallas, Texas, located at Cedar Springs Rd. and Reagan St., was built in 1909. It has also been known as the Oak Lawn Fire Station and as Fire Station No. 11. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1981.It is notable as the first "suburban" fire station in Dallas. It is a two-story building designed by prominent Dallas architect Herbert M. Greene, and is one of the last public buildings in Dallas designed in the Prairie School style. It also includes elements of Mission/Spanish Revival style.

Oak Lawn Methodist Episcopal Church, South (now known as Oak Lawn United Methodist Church) is a historic United Methodist church at 3014 Oak Lawn Avenue in Dallas, Texas. The late Gothic Revival church building began construction in 1911 and was completed in 1915. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1988.

The Mansion Restaurant is a restaurant in Turtle Creek, Dallas, Texas, United States. Located at 2821 Turtle Creek Boulevard, the restaurant, which occupies the former 1925 home of cotton magnate Sheppard King and later owned by oilman Toddie Lee Wynne, is the signature restaurant of Rosewood Mansion on Turtle Creek. Established in 1980 by oil heiress Caroline Rose Hunt, it has been described as "one of the last storied, formal restaurants in the United States." It was renovated in 2007.The restaurant's executive chef is Sebastien Archambault. Dean Fearing was formerly head chef at the restaurant, under whom Casey Thompson worked at the beginning of her career. Others that have filled the same role include Avner Samuel, John Tesar and Bruno Davaillon.

Turtle Creek Boulevard is a thoroughfare that runs through the Turtle Creek neighborhood of Oak Lawn, Dallas, Texas (USA), generally alongside the actual Turtle Creek. The street has been broken up by dedication of Reverchon Park and by construction of the interstate, but its continuation through the Design District provides a hint of the culverted creek running beneath the streets. Turtle Creek Boulevard shares a single block along the creek with Cedar Springs Road, a vestige of earlier times when natural urban growth converged the two streets. There is also a Turtle Creek Plaza, a largely private drive on the opposite bank of the creek from the boulevard where fancy homes have stood. Some stand no longer, though with gentrification of the neighborhood, land values are appreciating. The neighborhood has changed rapidly, becoming much more densely populated (it ranked as the fastest growing neighborhood in the U.S. in 2001-02 in terms of new dwelling units) and new, expensive homes have begun to be built along this secluded section.

Reverchon Park is a public park in the Oak Lawn area of Dallas, Texas. It was named for Julien Reverchon. The park lies along Turtle Creek, a tributary of the Trinity River. Its main entrance is at Maple Avenue and Turtle Creek Boulevard.

Saint Seraphim Cathedral, located near downtown Dallas, Texas, is the primary episcopal seat of the Diocese of the South, sharing its status with Christ the Saviour (Orthodox) Cathedral in Miami Lakes, Florida. The namesake of the Cathedral is Saint Seraphim of Sarov.

Wade College is a private, for-profit college in Dallas, Texas. It awards Associate of Arts degrees and Bachelor of Arts degrees in fashion design and merchandising. The college was founded in 1962 as Miss Wade's Fashion Merchandising College and renamed Wade College in 1999. The college is located in the Infomart building in the Design District, Dallas.

P.C. Cobb Stadium (previously Dal-Hi Stadium) was an outdoor athletic stadium near downtown Dallas, Texas. The 22,000 seat stadium, named in honor of the former Dallas Independent School District athletic director and coach, was built of reinforced concrete under the Works Progress Administration program in 1939 and was used for high school sporting events of the Dallas Independent School District. In 1969 it was the home of the Dallas Tornado, a professional soccer team in the now-defunct North American Soccer League. The 25-acre (100,000 m2) site and stadium was sold and demolished to make way for the Dallas Infomart, built in 1985.A planned trail dubbed "The Connection" that joins the Katy Trail to the Trinity Strand Trail will run through the former site of the stadium and incorporate material from the demolished structure into its retaining walls. Originally preserved by Infomart developer Trammell Crow, the material was later turned over to the city's Department of Parks and Recreation for storage.

The Infomart is one of the largest buildings in Dallas, Texas (USA). It is the world's first and only information processing marketing center.It is located at 1950 N. Stemmons Freeway in the Market Center neighborhood between Oak Lawn and Interstate 35E near downtown. It is served by DART's Market Center Station.
