P.C. Cobb Stadium (previously Dal-Hi Stadium) was an outdoor athletic stadium near downtown Dallas, Texas. The 22,000 seat stadium, named in honor of the former Dallas Independent School District athletic director and coach, was built of reinforced concrete under the Works Progress Administration program in 1939 and was used for high school sporting events of the Dallas Independent School District. In 1969 it was the home of the Dallas Tornado, a professional soccer team in the now-defunct North American Soccer League. The 25-acre (100,000 m2) site and stadium was sold and demolished to make way for the Dallas Infomart, built in 1985.A planned trail dubbed "The Connection" that joins the Katy Trail to the Trinity Strand Trail will run through the former site of the stadium and incorporate material from the demolished structure into its retaining walls. Originally preserved by Infomart developer Trammell Crow, the material was later turned over to the city's Department of Parks and Recreation for storage.

The Mansion Restaurant is a restaurant in Turtle Creek, Dallas, Texas, United States. Located at 2821 Turtle Creek Boulevard, the restaurant, which occupies the former 1925 home of cotton magnate Sheppard King and later owned by oilman Toddie Lee Wynne, is the signature restaurant of Rosewood Mansion on Turtle Creek. Established in 1980 by oil heiress Caroline Rose Hunt, it has been described as "one of the last storied, formal restaurants in the United States." It was renovated in 2007.The restaurant's executive chef is Sebastien Archambault. Dean Fearing was formerly head chef at the restaurant, under whom Casey Thompson worked at the beginning of her career. Others that have filled the same role include Avner Samuel, John Tesar and Bruno Davaillon.

Sue Ellen's is a ladies bar or lesbian bar in Dallas, Texas' gayborhood of Oak Lawn. It first opened in Dallas on January 19, 1989, and moved to its current Throckmorton Street location in 2008. Sue Ellen's, a two-story nightclub, has a long history of being part of Dallas' queer nightlife, and is the state's oldest lesbian bar. It is named for Sue Ellen Ewing of Dallas fame and is considered the sister bar to nearby JR's.

The Number 4 Hook and Ladder Company in Dallas, Texas, located at Cedar Springs Rd. and Reagan St., was built in 1909. It has also been known as the Oak Lawn Fire Station and as Fire Station No. 11. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1981.It is notable as the first "suburban" fire station in Dallas. It is a two-story building designed by prominent Dallas architect Herbert M. Greene, and is one of the last public buildings in Dallas designed in the Prairie School style. Oak Lawn Methodist Episcopal Church, South (now known as Oak Lawn United Methodist Church) is a historic United Methodist church at 3014 Oak Lawn Avenue in Dallas, Texas. The late Gothic Revival church building began construction in 1911 and was completed in 1915. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1988.

Market Center station is a DART Light Rail station in Dallas, Texas. It serves the Green Line and Orange Line. The station opened as part of the Green Line's expansion in December 2010. It serves nearby locations such as the Infomart and Dallas Market Center and the Oak Lawn neighborhood.

On the morning of July 24, 1973, in Dallas, Texas, 30-year-old Dallas Police Officer Darrell L. Cain murdered Santos Rodriguez, a 12-year-old Mexican-American child. Officer Cain and Officer Roy R. Arnold were investigating reports of a burglary at a Fina gas station when they took Santos Rodriguez and his 13-year-old brother David Rodriguez from their home for an impromptu interrogation over the burglary. Cain shot Santos Rodriguez while conducting Russian roulette on the brothers in an attempt to force a confession from them. Cain was found guilty of murder with malice, and was sentenced to five years in prison. He was released on September 11, 1979, after serving the minimum two-and-a-half-year sentence.

Dallas Market Center is a 5 million square foot (460,000 m2) wholesale trade center in Dallas, Texas, the United States, located at 2200 Stemmons Freeway, housing showrooms which sells consumer products including gifts, lighting, home décor, apparel, fashion accessories, shoes, tabletop/housewares, gourmet, floral, and holiday products. The marketplace is closed to the public but open to certified retail buyers and interior designers, manufacturers, and industry professionals. Large-scale market events are held at the center throughout the year. Dallas Market Center is owned by Dallas-based Crow Holdings and managed by Market Center Management Company (MCMC), a Crow Holdings subsidiary. The center was the destination of U.S. President John F. Kennedy's motorcade when he was assassinated in Dealey Plaza on November 22, 1963.

International Center is a neighborhood of high-rise office and residential buildings in the Oak Lawn area of Dallas, Texas (USA). The land in the neighborhood is owned primarily by Harwood International, a development firm based in Dallas. The area is in proximity to Victory Park, Uptown, and the Arts District of downtown, three highly popular districts in Central Dallas. Like its neighborhoods, International Center is experiencing large amounts of growth in both the commercial and residential sectors.
