Kawaii Kon is an anime convention geared towards Japanese animation and comics held in the Honolulu area.

The Hawai‘i Convention Center is a convention and exhibition center in Hawaii, located in Honolulu on the island of Oahu. The Hawaii Convention Center is the largest exhibition center of its type in the state. It is located directly to the west of the Waikiki district of Honolulu.

KHCM-FM (97.5 MHz) is a commercial radio station in Honolulu, Hawaii. It is owned by the Salem Media Group and airs a country music radio format. The studios and offices are in Honolulu's Kalihi district. KHCM-FM carries Bob Kingsley's Country Top 40 on Saturdays. KHCM-FM has an effective radiated power (ERP) of 80,000 watts. The transmitter is in the Ala Moana neighborhood atop the Ala Moana Hotel, on Atkinson Drive.

The Ala Moana Hotel is a hotel in Honolulu, Hawaii, opened in 1970. It adjoins the Ala Moana Shopping Center and is across the street from the Hawaii Convention Center as well as the Ala Moana Beach Park.

Mālia is a Hawaiian-style wooden racing canoe crafted by James Takeo Yamasaki. The canoe was hewn out of blonde koa wood in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii, in 1933. Its wooden hull provided the founding model for all subsequent outrigger canoeing hulls, including those later molded from fiberglass. Hawaiian racing canoeist Tommy Holmes observed that Malia "remains a prototype for contemporary racing canoes [and] was among the first canoes built exclusively for the sport." The canoe was listed on the State and National Register of Historic Places in 1993.

KQHU-LP, (98.1 FM), is a new non-commercial FM outlet serving the urban portion of the Honolulu, Hawaii area, which signed on in March 2017 with Chinese-language programming. The station is owned by New Dynasty Cultural Center and is licensed to Honolulu.

The Harbor View Plaza building is a residential condominium building in the Waikiki precinct of Honolulu, Hawai'i. It was constructed from c. 1965–1968, designed by architect Edwin L. Bauer in a blend of Tropical Modern and Postmodern architectural styles, and built by Dillingham Development, a prolific construction company known for many notable buildings in the vicinity.

The McCully Street Bridge is a vehicular and pedestrian bridge in Honolulu, Hawaii, that carries McCully Street across the Ala Wai Canal near the entrance of Waikiki. Opened in 1959, it is one of three primary bridges connecting Waikiki to the McCully–Mōʻiliʻili area. The bridge replaced a narrower, older structure to accommodate growing traffic demand during the late 1950s.

The Ilikai Hotel & Luxury Suites is a landmark oceanfront high rise hotel and condominium at the western end of Waikiki in Honolulu, Hawaii. When it opened in 1964, the Ilikai was the first luxury high rise hotel in Hawaii.The Ilikai is also well known, outside of Honolulu travelers and residents, for appearing prominently in the opening credits of the long running TV series Hawaii Five-O. The show's star, Jack Lord, is standing on the Ilikai penthouse balcony as the camera dramatically zooms in on him. This same sequence is used in the opening credits of the 2010 remake, with Alex O'Loughlin replacing Lord.

The Ala Wai Canal is an artificial waterway in Honolulu, Hawaii which serves as the northern boundary of the tourist district of Waikiki. It was created in 1928 to drain the rice paddies and swamps which would eventually become Waikiki. It also serves as a primary drainage corridor for the rivers and streams that run through central and east Honolulu. The canal runs from just northwest of Kapahulu Avenue along the length of Waikiki, then turns southwest to empty into the Pacific Ocean. Bridges cross the canal at McCully Street, Kalākaua Avenue, and Ala Moana Boulevard. Ala Wai Boulevard runs parallel to the west side of the canal in Waikiki.

The Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki Beach Resort is a resort hotel on Waikiki Beach in Honolulu, Hawaii. The resort first opened in 1955, and since has grown to become the largest in the Hilton chain of hotels, and one of largest hotels in the world.

Ala Wai Harbor is the largest small boat and yacht harbor in Hawaii. The harbor is situated in Honolulu at the mouth of the Ala Wai Canal, between Waikiki and downtown Honolulu. To the east are Waikiki and Diamond Head; to the west, Magic Island and the Honolulu waterfront. The harbor has 699 berths, 85 moorings, one boat ramp, and 22 dry storage spaces. It can accommodate vessels up to 85 feet (26 m) in length.The TransPac sailing race begins in Los Angeles and ends at the harbor, an event that takes place every two years. It is one of the world's longest-running ocean races.Many Waikiki hotels are in the area, but the Prince Waikiki Hotel and the Hilton Hawaiian Village are essentially adjacent to the property, and the Ilikai Hotel is built on harbor land, paying rent into the boating special fund.The harbor is home to the Waikiki Yacht Club and the Hawaii Yacht Club, which host junior sailing clubs, waterman programs to include surf ski and Hawaiian outrigger canoeing, weekly sailing races, and fishing tournaments. Boats from around the world find shelter in state harbor berths, and yacht club berths. There are no fuel facilities and the harbor is prone to crime as the dock gates are not locked on the state docks.
