The Jan Olszewski Monument (Polish: Pomnik Jana Olszewskiego) is a bronze statue in Warsaw, Poland, placed in front of the Building of the Chancellery of the Prime Minister at 1/3 Ujazdów Avenue, within the neighbourhood of Ujazdów in the Downtown district. It is dedicated to Jan Olszewski, a lawyer and politician, who was the Prime Minister of Poland from 1991 to 1992. It was unveiled on 21 December 2022.

The Roman Dmowski Monument in Warsaw (Polish: Pomnik Romana Dmowskiego w Warszawie) is a bronze statue, 5 meters (16 feet) tall, of Polish politician Roman Dmowski in Warsaw, on Na Rozdrożu Square at the intersection of Szuch and Ujazdów Avenues. It was unveiled on 10 November 2006. The statue holds a copy of the Treaty of Versailles and carries a quotation from Dmowski's book: "I am a Pole, so I have Polish duties..." ("Jestem Polakiem więc mam obowiązki polskie..."). The monument has been controversial.Its construction was the result of an initiative supported by politicians Maciej Giertych, Bogusław Kowalski, and Jędrzej Dmowski. The monument, sponsored by the Warsaw municipal council, cost the Polish government about 500,000 zlotys. The unveiling ceremony was attended by some 200 people, including politicians Maciej Giertych, Artur Zawisza, and Wojciech Wierzejski, and by Father Henryk Jankowski, who consecrated the monument.The monument's location, near the offices of the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Szuch Avenue, relates to Dmowski's 1923 three-month tenure as Poland's minister of foreign affairs.Dmowski was the chief ideologue of Polish right-wing nationalism and has been called "the father of Polish nationalism." He is seen as a principal figure in the restoration of Polish independence after World War I, and was a signatory of the Treaty of Versailles.The monument has been called "one of the most controversial monuments in Warsaw" and has led to protests from organisations which see Dmowski as a fascist opponent of tolerance; conversely, it has been a rallying icon for Polish right-wing nationalists (narodowcy). Due to the controversies and protests, plans to raise statues or memorials to Dmowski elsewhere have generally been deferred. Prominent critics of the monument have included Marek Edelman, a leader of the 1943 Warsaw Ghetto uprising; literary critic and theoretician Professor Maria Janion; and historian and sociologist Alina Cała. Its notable defenders have included historian Jan Żaryn and historian and politician Tomasz Nałęcz, who have emphasized Dmowski's important role in restoring Poland's independence.

The Central Anticorruption Bureau (CBA, Polish: Centralne Biuro Antykorupcyjne) is a division of the Polish government, reporting to the Prime Minister of Poland, responsible for addressing corruption in Poland. Located in Warsaw, the CBA has been functional since 24 July 2006, having been activated by the June 2006 Central Anticorruption Bureau Bill. While it works in both public and private sectors, it is particularly focused on combatting corruption in State and self-government institutions. Its scope includes both investigating criminal corruption and preventing corruption which is not yet criminal. It is given the duty of informing the Prime Minister, the President of Poland and the National Assembly of the Republic of Poland of matters which may affect the economic well-being of the Polish state. CBA is headed by Andrzej Stróżny.

The Crossroads Square (Polish: Plac Na Rozdrożu) is an urban square in Warsaw, Poland. It is located in the district of Downtown, at the crossing of Koszykowa Street, Szucha Avenue, People's Army Avenue, Ujazdów Avenue, and Wyzwolenia Avenue. It was built in 1768.

The Church of the Archangel Michael in Warsaw (Polish: Cerkiew św. Michała Archanioła w Warszawie; Russian: Церковь Михаила Архангела) was an Orthodox church in Warsaw, located on Ujazdowskie Avenue (aleje Ujazdowskie), in the area of the current Plac na Rozdrożu (Crossroads Square). It was one of the military churches built for the needs of the Russian troops stationed in Warsaw, in particular the Lithuanian Regiment. Built in the 1890s, it was destroyed in 1923, during the recovery of churches recognized as symbols of Russian power during the Second Polish Republic.

The Monument to the Polish Underground State and Home Army is located on Wiejska Street at the intersection with Jana Matejki Street opposite the Sejm, the Polish parliament.

The Copernicus Foundation for Polish Astronomy (Polish: Fundacja Astronomii Polskiej im. Mikołaja Kopernika) is a Polish scientific foundation which aim is to support Polish astronomy by: financing research, founding stipends, propagation of an astronomical knowledge in the society and activation and stimulation of the astronomical community.The Copernicus foundation is headquartered in Warsaw, Poland and Prof. Michał Jaroszyński is the chairman of the organization. The Copernicus Foundation is a publisher of an Acta Astronomica - a peer-reviewed scientific journal covering astronomy and astrophysics.

Ujazdów Avenue (Polish: Aleje Ujazdowskie) is a major thoroughfare parallel to the Vistula River in the downtown district of Warsaw, Poland.

Henryk Sienkiewicz Monument (Polish: Pomnik Henryka Sienkiewicza) is a sculpture in Warsaw, Poland, within the neighbourhood of Ujazdów in the Downtown district, in the western part of the Royal Baths Park. It has a form of a bronze statue of Henryk Sienkiewicz, a 19th- and 20th century novel writer, placed on a syenite pedestal. The sculpture was designed by Gustaw Zemła and unveiled on 5 May 2000.

The Chancellery of the Prime Minister of Poland (Polish: Kancelaria Prezesa Rady Ministrów), or KPRM, is the executive office for the Prime Minister of Poland. Created under the administrative reorganization reforms by the government of Włodzimierz Cimoszewicz in 1996 and implemented in the following year, the Chancellery assumed many responsibilities of the previous Office of the Council of Ministers (Urząd Rady Ministrów). In addition to serving as the premier's office, the Chancellery oversees the technical, legislative, legal and organizational support for the Prime Minister, Deputy Prime Minister and the Council of Ministers. The current Chief of the Chancellery is Michał Dworczyk. The Chancellery is also the name of the building holding the working offices and support staff of the Prime Minister and the Council of Ministers. Formerly the Cadet Building, the Chancellery is located along Ujazdów Avenue in the Śródmieście borough of Warsaw.

Sobański Palace (Polish: Pałac Sobiańskich w Warszawie) - a historical building, located by Ujazdów Avenue in Warsaw, Poland.The building was constructed in 1876, under Polish architect Leandro Marconi's plans. In the nineteenth-thirtees, the palace's gardens were sold for the construction of a new road - the Avenue of Friends (Aleja Przyjaciół). During the Polish People's Republic, the building housed the headquarters for the Front of National Unity, proceeded by the Patriotic Movement for National Rebirth. In the 1990s, the building served as the centre for the Solidarity Citizens' Committee, later for the Institute of Lech Wałęsa. In 1996, the building was purchased by Jan Wejchert, Polish billionaire media mogul and founder of TVN Group. Presently, the palace houses the Polish Business Council (Polska Rada Biznesu) and a restaurant.

Centre for Eastern Studies (OSW, Polish: Ośrodek Studiów Wschodnich) is a Warsaw-based think tank that undertakes independent research on the political, economic and social situation in Central and Eastern Europe, Balkans, Caucasus and Central Asia. The Centre was founded in 1990 and is fully financed from the Polish state budget. In 2006 the Centre was named in honour of its founder Marek Karp. The OSW is the largest of the European Union’s think tanks to focus its research on the part of Europe which until 1989 had been separated from the West by the Iron Curtain. The Centre is particularly active in debates concerning the European Union's policy towards its Eastern neighbours (European Neighbourhood Policy, Eastern Partnership), challenges to energy security in Europe, as well as the political, social and economic transformation of countries neighbouring Poland.
