Old Place Manor

Old Place is a Grade II* listed building in Pulborough, West Sussex. This building was originally part of Old Place Manor, though the exact role is unclear.

Pulborough is a large village and civil parish in the Horsham district of West Sussex, England, with some 5,000 inhabitants. It is located almost centrally within West Sussex and is 42 miles (68 km) south west of London. It is at the junction of the north–south A29 and the east–west A283 roads. The village is near the confluence of the River Arun and the River Rother, on the Stane Street Roman road from London to Chichester. It looks southwards over the broad flood plain of the tidal Arun to a backdrop of the South Downs. It is on the northern boundary of the newly established South Downs National Park. The parish covers an area of 5,183 acres (2,098 hectares). The twelfth-century parish church is dedicated to St Mary. In the 2001 census there were 4,685 people living in 1,976 households of whom 2,333 were economically active. At the 2011 census the population of Bignor was included and the total population was 5,206.

Ancaster House in Ancaster Place, Pulborough, West Sussex is a Grade II listed building. The range dates from the 18th century, though the front, of ashlar and red brick dressing, dates from 1900.

St. Mary's Church, Pulborough, also known as The Parish Church of St Mary is a Grade I listed building in Pulborough, West Sussex. The chancel dates from the 13th or 14th centuries and the nave and tower from the 15th.

The Chequers Hotel is a hotel and Grade II listed building. The building is 18th century or earlier, but with modern additions.

Pulborough Signal Box is a signal box and Grade II listed building. The box was build in 1878 and was a Saxby and Farmer type 5 design. This design was used from 1876 to 1896. This particular box has two stories, with the locking room on the ground floor and the operations room on the floor above. It is rectangular, two bays long by one bay wide.

The Old Swan Bridge, also known as Pulborough Bridge is a stone bridge and Grade II listed building in Pulborough, West Sussex. The bridge was built in 1787 in a mediaval style. It has four arches, though the fourth was built in 1834.

Pulborough railway station serves the West Sussex village of Pulborough. It is at the western end of the village, just off the A283 road. It is 50 miles (80 km) down the line from London Bridge via Redhill.

Park Farm Cutting is a 0.2-hectare (0.49-acre) geological Site of Special Scientific Interest west of Pulborough in West Sussex. It is a Geological Conservation Review site.This site exposes the Sandgate Beds of the Lower Greensand Group, which dates to the Early Cretaceous between 140 and 100 million years ago. It is the best collecting ground for a diverse range of mollusc fossils.The Wey South Path goes through the site.

Hardham is a small village and former civil parish, now in the parish of Coldwaltham, in the Horsham district of West Sussex, England. It is on the A29 road 1.2 miles (2 km) southwest of Pulborough. In 1931 the parish had a population of 107.

St Botolph's Church is the Church of England parish church of Hardham, West Sussex. It is in Horsham District and is a Grade I listed building. It contains the earliest nearly complete series of wall paintings in England. Among forty individual subjects is the earliest known representation of St. George in England. Dating from the 12th century, they were hidden from view until uncovered in 1866 and now "provide a rare and memorable impression of a medieval painted interior". The simple two-cell stone building, with its original medieval whitewashed exterior, has seen little alteration and also has an ancient bell.

The South Downs Light Railway is a 10+1⁄4 in (260 mm) gauge railway at Pulborough in West Sussex, England. The line opened in 2000 (after adjusting the gauge to 10 1/4 from 7 1/4 as there was a line there before the South Downs Light Railway arrived, and operates around the grounds of Pulborough Garden Centre. On a regular day one of their two Exmoor Steam Locomotives will be in-charge of the service. Their two Exmoor’s are named ‘Pulborough’ and ‘Peggy’. The railway hosts a range of scale locomotive which includes an LNER Flying Scotsman ,6100 royal Scot, 6220 coronation The railway has their own engine shed which has a workshop at the back of it. Just outside the engine shed there is a traverser to move the engine. There is also a drop-down pit so the engines can be inspected underneath. The old engine shed has now been converted to the railway's carriage shed. The railway has two stations, Stopham Road Station (where most people will start their journey) and Hardham Halt which is used during gala days and during Christmas as the North Pole. 2020 was the railway's 20th year of operating in its current location and they hoped to host a 20th Gala Weekend which wpound have most likely host visiting engines plus special attractions. The railway announced that the gala weekend woils happen in August, however it was impacted by the COVID pandemic. The railway has developed a lot since they first opened including a new expansion, new engine shed, new workshop plus a new station (Hardham Halt).
