Skogås railway station

Skogås is a district of Huddinge Municipality in Stockholm County, Sweden, 15 kilometres (9 mi) south of Stockholm along the railroad to the city and harbour of Nynäshamn. In 2016, Skogås had 14,451 inhabitants. The suburb has conjoined with its northern neighbour Trångsund, forming a municipality district with a population of 22,200 people. The largest employer is the commercial centre in Länna. Sights include the Ågesta Nature Reserve, the lakes Drevviken, Magelungen and Orlången, the congregations church Mariakyrkan, Trångsund Manor and the upper secondary school Östra Gymnasiet. Beatebergsanstalten, a jail for minor offenders, is located in the northwest of Skogås. Skogås is served by line 43 of the Stockholm commuter rail, and is 20 minutes from Stockholm City Station. Swedish national road 73 passes Skogås on its way to Nynäshamn. The name Skogås comes from the two words skog 'forest' and ås 'ridge'; hence "the forest-covered ridge", reflecting Skogås's topography of hills, ridges and valleys.

Trångsund (Swedish pronunciation: [trɔŋˈsɵnːd]) is a part of Huddinge to the south of Stockholm located between the two lakes Magelungen and Drevviken. Trångsund had 9,114 inhabitants in 2019. Trångsund is 17 minutes away from Stockholm City Station by train on the Bålsta-Nynäshamn line of the Stockholm commuter rail.

Skrubba is a district (Swedish: stadsdel) in the Skarpnäck borough of Stockholm, Sweden.Skrubba borders in the north to the district of Flaten, in the east to Trollbäcken in Tyresö municipality and in the west and south to Lake Drevviken. As of 2017, Skrubba has 14 permanent residents. Skrubbatriangeln is an industrial area on the eastern end of the district, next to the border to Tyresö Municipality. The area was inaugurated in 1987. Strandkyrkogården is a cemetery which was inaugurated in 1996. The area encompasses 25 hectares of land that alternates between open parkland and enclosed forest areas. An allotment garden is near to the shore of lake Drevviken. Except for Strandkyrkogården, the western parts of Skrubba are part of Flaten nature reserve (Flatens naturreservat).

Flaten is a lake in southern Stockholm, Sweden, located just north of Lake Drevviken. The name is also used for the surrounding area and the nature reserve created there in 2007.Flaten has the best water quality of all lakes around the Swedish capital and is highly popular for bathing and angling. The surrounding area is dominated by forests, with allotment-gardens and some industrial activities located north of the lake. Algal bloom occasionally occurs in spring.

Orhem is a district (Swedish: stadsdel) in Skarpnäck borough, Stockholm, Sweden. Orhem has 82 inhabitants as of December 31, 2006.Orhem has a small number of permanent housing. There are several allotment gardens in Orhem. A large part of Orhem is in the Flaten nature reserve.

Forsån (Swedish: "Rapids' Stream") is a stream in southern Stockholm, Sweden. It is also known as Stortorpsån and Forsen. Leaving lake Magelungen calmly by a small sandy beach, Forsån's upper reach passes through a furrow blown in the 1860s to lower the level of the lake resulting in the present wide torrents passing through the bedrock. In contrast, the last 500 metres of the course are characterized by flat shores and stagnant, overgrown waters. The stream has a vigorous population of signal crayfish and is the only winter habitat in Stockholm for white-throated dipper.

Vega is a station on the Stockholm commuter train network, located in the neighbourhood of Vega within Haninge municipality on the Nynäs line.The station opened in April 2019, and was built in conjunction with the development of the surrounding area. It is located between the stations Skogås and Handen, and has a central island platform. The ticket hall is located at the southern end of the station and preparations have been made for an entrance also at the northern end. The station has a normal weekday about 1700 boarding passengers, and it is anticipated that once Vega district is fully developed, there will be approximately 4200 boarding passengers each day. About 90 parking spaces for have been created, and bicycle parking is available, opposite the station entrance. Travel time between Vega station and Stockholm City is approximately 25 minutes. At the station there is an artistic decoration Flos Solis Maior by artist Ulla Fredriksson.

Vega is a town district in Haninge Municipality, in Sweden. As of 2017, Vega has a population of 6,033 people. It is located north of Handen and is part of Stockholm. As of 2019, Vega is being redeveloped with more than 3,000 planned homes. Vega station on the Stockholm commuter rail system opened on 1 April 2019.

Drevviken is a lake in southern Stockholm, Sweden, shared by the four municipalities Stockholm, Haninge, Huddinge, and Tyresö. While much of the surrounding area is used for one-family houses, the lake and the green space north of it are considered to be of great recreational and natural importance and forms part of a suggested nature reserve around lake Flaten.
