Cheng Beng Buddhist Society, also the Vimalakirti Buddhist Centre (Chinese: 净名佛学社), is a Buddhist monastery in Singapore. The foundation was originally set up by Venerable Wen Ming Hu. The present premises are located at Geylang, Singapore.

Sims Avenue (Chinese: 沈氏道) is a one-way major road in Singapore connecting Kallang Road to Jalan Eunos. It extends eastward as Sims Avenue East (Chinese: 沈氏东道), and until Siglap Road.

Madrasah Al-Ma'arif Al-Islamiah is an all-girls' Islamic school, commonly known as madrasah, in Singapore. Al-Ma'arif has students at primary, secondary and pre-university levels. It is one of six full-time Islamic madrasahs in Singapore. Unlike most of the other madrasahs, Al-Ma'arif's curriculum places equal emphasis on Islamic religious studies and secular subjects from the Singapore Ministry of Education curriculum.Like other madrasahs in Singapore, Al-Ma'arif has a Management Committee whose members are appointed every two years by the Ministry of Education in consultation with the Majlis Ugama Islam Singapura (MUIS).

The Buddhist Library (Chinese: 佛教图书馆) is the first dedicated Buddhist library in Singapore. The library, which is located in a shophouse in Geylang, aims to meet the needs of the Buddhist community and anyone interested in Buddhism. It is unique in that it is not a voluntary association or a temple and because it takes a non-sectarian approach to Buddhism. Besides functioning as a lending library, it also organises Dhamma talks, accredited Buddhist courses, public art exhibitions and welfare work locally and abroad.

Whampoa Secondary School (Chinese: 黄埔中学) (formerly Whampoa Secondary School(Chinese) (Chinese: 黄埔华文中学) ) was a secondary school in Kallang, Singapore.

Kong Hwa School (abbreviation: KHS; Chinese: traditional Chinese: 光華學校; simplified Chinese: 光华学校; pinyin: Guānghuá Xuéxiào), is a co-educational primary school in Singapore. It is one of the six Singapore Hokkien Huay Kuan schools, along with Tao Nan School, Ai Tong School, Chongfu Primary School, Nan Chiau Primary School and Nan Chiau High School. Kong Hwa School has been offering the Bi-Cultural Enrichment Programme (BiCEP) since 2007, which encourages students to be bilingual. The school is currently situated along Guillemard Road.

Kwan Yin Chan Lin Zen Meditation Centre (KYCL) (Chinese: 観音禪林) is a Buddhist zen centre in Singapore and Malaysia. The organization was set up by Venerable Chi Boon (釋繼聞法師) in 1991. The present KYCL centres are located at Geylang, Singapore, KYCL International Zen Centre at Pengerang, Desaru and Fu Hui Yuan at Muar (inaugurated in 2018) in Johor, Malaysia.

Aljunied MRT station is an above-ground Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) station on the East West line (EWL) in Geylang, Singapore. Named after Aljunied Road, this station primarily serves Aljunied, one of the subzones that make up Geylang planning area. On the EWL, it is between the Paya Lebar and Kallang stations. The station opened on 4 November 1989 as part of the MRT eastern line extension to Tanah Merah station. The station exterior has the characteristic dome-shaped segmented roof also seen on other elevated EWL stations.

Aljunied is a sub-urban area located in the central part of the city-state of Singapore. Named after Aljunied Road, it was formerly agricultural land which has since been heavily urbanised and presently comprises a variety of land uses. Today, Aljunied is a bustling neighbourhood with HDB flats with amenities like shops, schools, parks and recreational facilities, as well as quite a number of traditional Singaporean shophouses.

Geylang East Public Library is one of the 26 public libraries established by the National Library Board of Singapore. Located along Geylang East Avenue 1 within walking distance of Aljunied MRT station, it serves the residents of the Eastern areas of Aljunied, Geylang East, Geylang West, Geylang Serai, Jalan Besar, Eunos, Kampong Ubi, Kallang, MacPherson, Lavender, Kaki Bukit and Sims Drive.

Foo Hai Ch'an Monastery (Chinese: 福海禪寺), is a Buddhist monastery in Singapore. The foundation was originally set up by Venerable Hong Zong of Taiwan. The present premises are located, adjacent to Sri Sivan Temple, in front of Paya Lebar MRT station, exit C at Geylang East Avenue 2, Singapore.

Geylang Methodist School (Secondary) (GMS(S)) is a co-educational government-aided Methodist secondary school located in Geylang, Singapore. Founded in 1924, the school offers secondary education leading to the Singapore-Cambridge GCE Ordinary Level or Singapore-Cambridge GCE Normal Level examination.
