Kallhäll railway station

Kallhäll is a neighbourhood in Järfälla Municipality, Stockholm County. It is a suburban part of Stockholm urban area with a population of 12,000 inhabitants as of 2011 (including Stäket). Kallhäll started as an industrial suburb when the industrialist Erik Bolinder decided to move his Bolinders Mechanical Shops to Kallhäll from Kungsholmen in central Stockholm. Housing for employees was built, thus expanding Kallhäll. The Bolinder factory structures remain today, encircled by expensive, modern lakeside residences. A second era of expansion took place in the 1960s when Kallhäll was included in the Swedish government's great effort to reduce the lack of housing, Miljonprogrammet (The Million Programme). The tall, long, multiple-story buildings of the 1960s-70s dominate Kallhäll to this day. Kallhäll has a station on the Stockholm commuter rail network, 21.1 km north-west of Stockholm Central Station.

Almarestäket's castle (or Sankt Erik's castle) is a medieval castle ruin in Upplands-Bro municipality in Stockholm County. The complex is named after Eric IX of Sweden and was once one of Sweden's strongest and most famous castles, located at the important choke point at Almarestäket, a strait at the inlet to Lake Mälaren. Görväln House (Swedish pronunciation: [ˈjœ̂rːvɛln]; Görvälns Slott) is a manor house at Järfälla Municipality in Stockholm County, Sweden. Görväln House is located at Görväln, a bay of lake Mälaren. The manor is now owned by Järfälla Municipality and since 2008 has been used as a hotel and restaurant.

Almarestäket, or Stäket, is a strait at the inlet of Lake Mälaren in mid-east Sweden. A fortress existed there between about 1370 and 1517. A place mentioned as Stocksund by Old Norse author Snorre Sturlasson was once believed to be located here, but is now believed to have been located in Norrström, 2 km (1.2 mi) to the west. The strait was of importance before Stockholm was founded in the 14th century, as it guarded the waterway to the significant Swedish medieval cities Uppsala and Sigtuna. For instance, an attack on Sigtuna by Baltic Vikings in 1187 led to a battle at Almarestäket, resulting in the death of Archbishop Johannes.

Järfälla Municipality (Swedish: Järfälla kommun) is a municipality in Stockholm County in east central Sweden, and is considered a suburb of Stockholm. Its seat is located in Jakobsberg, part of the Stockholm urban area. Järfälla has not been amalgamated with other municipalities in the two local government reforms carried out during the 20th century. The Stäket area in the north was, however, added in 1952. It is located about 20 km north of Stockholm, with a part situated by the shore of Lake Mälaren. It takes about 20 minutes to reach downtown Stockholm by Stockholm commuter rail.

The Imam Ali Mosque (Swedish: Imam Ali moské), is a large Shia Muslim mosque in the country located in Järfälla Municipality, Stockholm County, Sweden. In May 2017, there was an arson attack against the building, a fire caused major damage to the facade and roof of a mosque. The attacker is believed to be an ISIS sympathiser or a far-right activist.

Jakobsberg is a suburban area (pop. 24,046) within Stockholm urban area, and the seat of Järfälla Municipality, Stockholm County in Sweden.Jakobsberg, Järfälla's commercial and administrative centre, grew up around the railway. In the 1940s, blocks of flats were built and the municipal council moved its offices here. Jakobsberg gradually became the centre of the municipality and now has a population of 24,046. The Jakobsberg Centre includes shops, offices, car parks and apartments, as well as a modern library, an art gallery, an exhibition hall and a cinema. There are a number of ancient monuments and buildings of historic interest in the area. Jakobsbergs Gård - a 17th-century manor-house - is now a community based centre that hosts a variety of events such as weddings, business meetings, parties etc., organized by public and private organizations and people. However, it is not located in the municipality of Jakobsberg, but rather in a southern suburb of Stockholm known as Bredäng, which is about 30 kilometers south of the location being discussed in this article. Säby Gård, from the 1650s, houses a Steiner Waldorf nursery school and a riding school. Görväln House on the shore of Lake Mälaren was built in the 1660s. Jakobsberg also has one of the busiest stations on the Stockholm commuter rail network, situated on the Bålsta line.

Stäketskogen Nature Reserve (Swedish: Stäketskogens naturreservat) is a nature reserve in Upplands-Bro Municipality, Stockholm County in Sweden. The nature reserve has been created to protect an area of old-growth mixed coniferous forest. The area is hilly, with glacial till, and has been subjected to a very low degree of forestry. It is a known habitat for several species of endangered insects and bracket fungi.
