North Kent Mall

Northview is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) in Kent County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 14,541 at the 2010 census. The community is located mostly within Plainfield Township with a very small portion extending into Grand Rapids Township to the south.The community is part of the Grand Rapids metropolitan area and borders the city of Grand Rapids to the south.

Northview High School is located in Plainfield Township, Kent County, Michigan, a Northeastern suburb of Grand Rapids, Michigan. It was a National Blue Ribbon school in 2001. The high school is one of the two high schools in the Northview Public Schools system.

Plainfield Charter Township is a charter township of Kent County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 30,952 at the 2010 census.It is part of the Grand Rapids metropolitan area and is bordered by Grand Rapids on the south.

Lamberton Lake is a 28.5-acre (115,000 m2) freshwater lake located in Kent County in Western Michigan. The lake is approximately 1,700 feet (520 m) long and 1,040 feet (320 m) wide and is centered at 43.02°N 85.63°W / 43.02; -85.63 just within the city limits in northeast Grand Rapids. The surface elevation is 650 feet (200 m), and most of the lake is less than 15 feet (4.6 m) deep. There is one island in the lake, approximately 160 feet (49 m) long and 70 feet (21 m) wide, located in the northwest part of the lake. A low ridge runs along the east side of the lake and overlooks it.

The Rogue River is a river in the U.S. state of Michigan, running through Kent and Newaygo counties and through the Rogue River State Game Area. It is 48 miles (77 km) long and has a drainage basin of 234 square miles (610 km2).Its headwaters are a series of ditches that drain the old Rice Lake bed near Grant for agricultural purposes. In this area the stream has been dredged and straightened leaving limited fish habitat. The river joins the Grand River southeast of Belmont in Plainfield Township. The Blythefield Country Club is now situated on a bluff just northeast of where the Rogue flows into the Grand. Originally named "Rouge River", the river's appellation was altered in the 19th century due to the printing error of a Wisconsin mapmaker. As a frontier waterway, the historic Rogue River was of major importance to local tribes and traders. During the lumber era in the latter 19th century its waters floated timber to the mills of the Grand River valley, and the riverboat Algoma plied its way northward along Rogue giving its name to the Kent county township of Algoma. Rogue River is designated as "Country Scenic" under Michigan's Natural Rivers Act. It is popular with trout fishers and local youth who have floated the river by innertube since the mid-20th century. It is intersected in parts by the White Pine Trail. It varies from 15 feet (4.6 m) wide in the upper sections to 80 feet (24 m) wide near its end and is 1 to 4 feet (0.3 to 1.2 m) deep. There are "holes" in the river up to 15 feet (4.6 m) in depth.The Rockford Dam restrains the Rogue in the city of Rockford.In July 2010, the Rogue River was designated a Trout Unlimited Home River. This provides funding for habitat restoration and land use management planning.

Blythefield Country Club is a private country club and golf course in the central United States, located in Belmont, Michigan, a suburb northeast of Grand Rapids. Founded 94 years ago in 1928, the par-72 golf course opened the following June and measures 6,859 yards (6,272 m) from the back tees. Blythefield has hosted the Meijer LPGA Classic on the LPGA Tour since its debut in 2014, and was the site of the Western Open on the PGA Tour in 1961, won by Arnold Palmer, two strokes ahead of Sam Snead.

The Meijer LPGA Classic is a women's professional golf tournament in Michigan on the LPGA Tour. Founded in 2014, it is played at Blythefield Country Club in Belmont, a suburb northeast of Grand Rapids. Mirim Lee won the inaugural tournament in a playoff with Inbee Park for her first LPGA Tour win.Nelly Korda won her second LPGA tournament in 2021, finishing with a new Meijer record of 263, winning by two strokes over Leona Maguire. A round record, which tied two others in past years, of 62 on Saturday gave her a three-stroke lead (196 to 199) from her 62 to Maguire's 70, after trailing Maguire by five strokes (134 to 129) after the second round. Korda was ranked #4 in the world, won her fifth LPGA title. Korda eagled the par-5 14th hole, to go with six birdies and three bogeys. In the final round, Korda led by just one stroke going to the 18th hole, which she birdied for her two-stroke win. LMCU Ballpark is a baseball stadium located in Comstock Park, Michigan, just north of Grand Rapids. Established as Old Kent Park in 1994, the stadium hosts a minor league baseball team, the West Michigan Whitecaps, and other sporting events. The ballpark's Fifth Third Burger was featured on an episode of Man v. Food. A fire damaged some of the first base side of the stadium on January 3, 2014, but the stadium re-opened in time to host the Whitecaps for the 2014 season.

The Auburn Hills Historic District is a residential historic district in Grand Rapids, Michigan located along Auburn Avenue NE, Dale Court NE, Drexel Court NE, Palmer Court NE, Travis Street NE, and Sweet Street NE. The district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2025. It is significant as a neighborhood developed by and for African Americans at a time when redlining still enforced segregated housing.

City High Middle School is a secondary school operated by the Grand Rapids Public Schools in the greater Grand Rapids, Michigan area.

Creston High School opened in 1923 as Creston Junior High School, with its first class graduating in 1927. This school was one of the five high schools in Grand Rapids, Michigan. At its peak, it housed around one thousand students and over fifty teachers making the teacher to student ratio about 1:20. The school mascot was the polar bear. The colors were blue and gold.
