Thurnham Hall is a Grade I listed 17th-century country house in the village of Thurnham, Lancashire, England some 10 km (6 miles) south of Lancaster. The present building is a three-storey stone-built house probably built in the 17th century for Robert Dalton. It stands facing west in 30 acres of rising ground about a half a kilometre (quarter of a mile) from the left bank of the River Conder. The building contains an impressive Jacobean Great Hall and now functions as a resort hotel.

The parish has a population of 595, increasing to 651 at the 2011 census.Thurnham is where the River Conder flows into the Lune. The main road through the parish is the A588. It was formerly served by the London and North Western Railway's Glasson Dock Branch railway line, which had three stations in the parish: one at Conder Green, the terminus at Glasson Dock and a private halt at Ashton Hall. To the east of the village stands Thurnham Hall, a 17th-century country house converted to a resort hotel. It was originally the residence of John Pierce Chamberlain Starkie (1830–1888).

Conder Bridge is a Grade II listed single segmental arch bridge spanning the River Conder in the English village of Conder Green, Thurnham, Lancashire. The structure dates to the early 19th century. The bridge carries the vehicular and pedestrian traffic of the A588. The bridge is flanked by piers, with abutments also punctuated by piers. It has a solid parapet with a string course and weathered coping.

Cockerham is a small village and civil parish within the City of Lancaster district in Lancashire, England. It is 6 miles (9.7 km) south of Lancaster and 15 miles (24 km) north-northwest of Preston. Lying on the River Cocker, at the estuary of the River Lune, the parish had a population of 671 at the 2011 Census.Cockerham has lain within the historic county boundaries of Lancashire since the Middle Ages, having previously formed a township and parish within the hundred of Lonsdale. Between 1894 and 1974, Cockerham lay within the Lancaster Rural District.Medieval life of Cockerham manor has been recorded in the Custumal of the Manor of Cockerham, compiled in 1326–1327 and revised in 1463. The custumal, a record of rents and services owed by the tenants to their landlord, combines a local code of laws with an inventory of all resources of the land, from peat fuel, cattle and sheep to shoreline mussels. The tenants were forbidden to trade local fuel to the "strangers" who collected mussels on the shore.The local church is St. Michael's. The original parish church was in the middle of the village but was resited on higher ground due to frequent flooding. Close by are the remains of Cockersand Abbey. The village has a pub, the Manor Inn.

The Stork (formerly known as the Stork Hotel) is a public house and inn in the English village of Conder Green, Thurnham, Lancashire. A former coaching inn, the building dates to 1660. It is now a Grade II listed building.The building stands on the northern side of the curved junction of Corricks Lane and the A588, about 350 feet (110 m) north of the River Conder and about 800 feet (240 m) north of Conder Bridge, another Grade II listed structure.In January 2020, a fire severely damaged the building. It reopened in August 2021, after twenty months of repairs and renovations.

Cockerham Vicarage is in Rectory Road, Cockerham, Lancashire, England. Originally a vicarage, it was later used as a nursing home. The vicarage is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade II listed building. It was built in 1843 for John Dodson, the church's rector, and designed by the Lancaster architect Edmund Sharpe. It is constructed in sandstone with slate roofs. The building is in three storeys, with tall chimneys and steeply pitched gables. The doorway has a Tudor arch, and above it is a shield carved with an open Bible inscribed "ROM V" (meaning Romans, chapter 5), and a wreath inscribed with "LUCERNA PEDIBUS" (meaning "A lantern to my feet"). There is also a date stone inscribed "I.D.1843".

Cockerham Priory was a priory served by Austin Canons in Cockerham, Lancashire, England. St Michael's Church was granted to Leicester Abbey c. 1153–54, with some land. The priory was founded in 1207 or 1208 as a cell of the Abbey of St Mary de Pratis ("St Mary in the Meadows") in Leicester.

The River Conder is a river in the English county of Lancashire. The source of the River Conder is a spring at Conder Head on Black Fell near Littledale, from where the stream briefly runs north, then west through Cragg Wood. The river then skirts around Quernmore in a southwesterly direction through a disproportionately wide valley, created by glacial action.The river runs through Ellel and Galgate before turning to the north-west, flowing into the Lune estuary between Conder Green and Glasson Dock. The river supplies most of the water for the Glasson Branch of the Lancaster Canal.The name of the river was recorded in the 13th century as Kondover and Kondoure, being derived from Brythonic and meaning "crooked waters".

Ashton Hall is a largely rebuilt 14th-century mansion in the civil parish of Thurnham, Lancashire, England. It is 3 miles (4.8 km) south of the city of Lancaster and is on the east bank of the River Lune. is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade I listed building, and is now owned by Lancaster Golf Club.
