St Luke's Church, more commonly known by locals as the bombed-out church, is a former Anglican parish church in Liverpool, England. It stands on the corner of Berry Street and Leece Street, at the top of Bold Street. The church was built between 1811 and 1832, and was designed by John Foster, Sr. and John Foster, Jr., father and son who were successive surveyors for the municipal Corporation of Liverpool. In addition to being a parish church, it was also intended to be used as a venue for ceremonial worship by the Corporation and as a concert hall. The church was badly damaged by bombs during the Liverpool Blitz in 1941 and has been a roofless shell ever since, giving rise to its nickname. It now stands as a memorial to those who died in the war, and has also been hired as a venue for exhibitions and events. The church and its surrounding walls, gates, and railings are recorded in the National Heritage List for England as designated Grade II* listed buildings.

The Blue Angel, also known as "The Raz" is a nightclub in Liverpool, England. It is located where Seel Street meets Berry Street in Liverpool city centre. It is a venue in Liverpool in which The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan and many other bands played at in the 1960s. It was historically a jazz club, but it now plays pop music.

The Hardmans' House, at 59 Rodney Street, Liverpool, Merseyside, England, is a National Trust property and home of the "E. Chambré Hardman Studio, House & Photographic Collection". The property was acquired by the National Trust in 2003.The house is a Georgian terraced house which served as both the studio and home of photographer E. Chambré Hardman from 1947 to 1988, and his wife, business partner and fellow photographer, Margaret until her death in 1969. On display are an extensive collection of photographs, the studio where most were taken, as well as the darkroom where they were developed and printed. The collection consists of portraits of the people of Liverpool, their city and the landscapes of the surrounding countryside.

The Whitehouse was a pub in a Grade II listed building in Duke Street, Liverpool, England. The side of the building had an image of a giant rat holding a marker pen by graffiti artist Banksy. In February 2010, the building sold for £114,000 at auction, and has since been turned into a restaurant called Petit Cafe du Coin, following the removal and sale of the rat mural.

Rodney Street in Liverpool, England, is noted for the number of doctors who practise there and its Georgian architecture. It is sometimes referred to as the "Harley Street of the North". Together with Hope Street and Gambier Terrace it forms the Rodney Street conservation area. There are over 60 Grade II listed buildings on the street and one Grade II* former church.

Dukes Terrace is an historic terraced house in the English city of Liverpool, Merseyside. A Grade II listed building, the terrace, which includes nine homes, was built in 1843, and is the last of the back-to-back building style in Liverpool. Originally the home of the employees of wealthy merchants, the property was condemned in the 1930s but avoided demolition because the tenants did not want to leave the community. It had fallen into dereliction by the 1970s and lay vacant for over thirty years. The building was restored and converted into apartments and housing in 2003.The terrace is part of the Duke Street Conservation Area in the Georgian Quarter of the city centre that was built to service the "Old Dock" of 1715.A statue of William Huskisson (1770–1830) stands in the car park in front of the terrace. Huskisson reportedly became the first railway passenger casualty when he was run over and fatally wounded by Robert Stephenson's pioneering locomotive Rocket.

Maguire's Pizza Bar was a restaurant and music venue in Liverpool, United Kingdom. It was known for serving vegan food and its association with the city's DIY punk music scene. It was listed in The Guardian newspaper's top 10 music venues in Liverpool in 2014 and PETA's list of the UK's best vegan-friendly pizzerias in 2016. Notable bands to have played there include Spare Snare, Zombina and the Skeletones, Billy Liar, Idle Frets, Worriers, Pardon Us, Doe and Martha The establishment closed in September 2018

The Liverpool City Region is a combined authority region of England, centred on Liverpool, incorporating the local authority district boroughs of Halton, Knowsley, Sefton, St Helens, and Wirral. The region is in the historic counties of Lancashire and Cheshire. Depending on the definition used, the region's population is between about 1.5 million and 2.3 million. Since 1 April 2014, the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority has become the top-tier administrative body for the local governance of the city region. Through the combined authority, the six districts pool their responsibilities over strategic policy areas such as economic development, transport, employment and skills, tourism, culture, housing, and physical infrastructure. No significant powers were devolved from central government. The region's economic development is also supported by the Liverpool City Region Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP), established in 2010 as the private sector-led board comprising political and business leaders from around the city region.

Great George Street Congregational Church is on the corner of Great George Street and Nelson Street, Liverpool, Merseyside, England. It is no longer in use as a Congregational church, and has been converted into a community arts centre. Formerly nicknamed The Blackie, it has since been officially named The Black-E. The former church is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade II listed building.

Hardman Street is a major street in Liverpool, England. It forms part of the A5039 and joins Leece Street to the west and Myrtle Street to the west. It lies within the postal district L1 in Liverpool city centre. It is named after the Hardman family of Allerton Hall.The Philharmonic Dining Rooms is situated on the junction of Hope Street and Hardman Street, diagonally opposite the Liverpool Philharmonic Hall. The Oratory stands to the north of Liverpool Anglican Cathedral in Merseyside, England. It was originally the mortuary chapel to St James Cemetery, and houses a collection of 19th-century sculpture and important funeral monuments as part of the Walker Art Gallery. It is a Grade I listed building in the National Heritage List for England.

Chinatown is an area of Liverpool that is an ethnic enclave home to the oldest Chinese community in Europe. Located in the south of the city centre, Chinatown has many Chinese businesses, such as Chinese restaurants and supermarkets, and facilities for the Chinese community. The area is also notable for its Chinese-style architecture; with the paifang on Nelson Street being the largest, multiple-span arch of its kind outside China.
