St John's Church is in Emesgate Lane, Silverdale, Lancashire, England. It is an active Anglican parish church in the deanery of Tunstall, the archdeaconry of Lancaster, and the diocese of Blackburn. The church is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade II* listed building. It is notable for the high quality of the stone carving in the interior.

The Silverdale Hoard is a collection of over 200 pieces of silver jewellery and coins discovered near Silverdale, Lancashire, England, in September 2011. The items were deposited together in and under a lead container buried about 16 inches (41 cm) underground which was found in a field by a metal detectorist. It is believed to date to around AD 900, a time of intense conflict between the Anglo-Saxons and the Danish settlers of northern England. The hoard is one of the largest Viking hoards ever discovered in the UK. It has been purchased by Lancashire Museums Service and has been displayed at Lancaster City Museum and the Museum of Lancashire in Preston. It is particularly significant for its inclusion of a coin stamped with the name of a previously unknown Viking ruler.

Arnside Tower is a late-medieval tower house (or Pele tower) between Arnside and Silverdale immediately to the south of Arnside Knott in Cumbria, England.

Silverdale is a village and civil parish within the City of Lancaster district of Lancashire, England. The village stands on Morecambe Bay, near the border with Cumbria, 4.5 miles (7 km) north west of Carnforth and 8.5 miles (14 km) of Lancaster. The parish had a population of 1,519 recorded in the 2011 census. Silverdale forms part of the Arnside and Silverdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The RSPB's Leighton Moss nature reserve is close to the village train station. The National Trust owns several pieces of land in the area. The former Tarmac-owned Trowbarrow quarry is now a SSSI and popular climbing location. The Lancashire Coastal Way footpath goes from Silverdale to Freckleton, and the Cumbria Coastal Way goes from Silverdale to Gretna. It is served by nearby Silverdale railway station on the line from Lancaster to Barrow in Furness.

Hazelwood Hall, sometimes spelt Hazlewood, is a nineteenth-century country house set in 18.5 acres of woodland and gardens in the village of Silverdale, Lancashire, England, 8.5 miles (13.7 km) north of Lancaster. The building was converted into holiday flats in 2006.

Arnside Knott is a hill with a summit elevation of 159 metres (522 ft), near Arnside, Cumbria, England. Although it is in South Lakeland district it is not in the Lake District National Park, lying south of the River Kent which forms the south eastern boundary of the national park. It is within the Arnside and Silverdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and is National Trust property.Arnside Knott is the lowest Marilyn (i.e. a hill with at least 150 m of topographic prominence) in England. It was not included in Alan Dawson's The Relative Hills of Britain (1992) ISBN 1-85284-068-4 which was the first listing of Marilyns, but was added to the list in 2004–05.The National Trust grazes Highland cattle on Arnside Knott.On the north slopes of the meadow the now defunct Arnside Golf Club had a golf green from 1906 to the time of World War 2.

Lindeth Tower is a Victorian folly in Silverdale, Lancashire, England. It is an embattled square tower of three storeys. It was built in 1842 by the Preston banker Hesketh Fleetwood. Elizabeth Gaskell stayed in the tower in the 1840s and 1850s and her novel Ruth was written there. Lindeth Tower is a Grade II listed building.

Jack Scout is a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) within Arnside and Silverdale National Landscape in Lancashire, England. This protected area is located 2km southwest of Silverdale and it borders the much larger protected area called Morecombe Bay SSSI. This protected area has exceptional calcareous grassland important for its plant diversity. This protected area has a small area of limestone pavement.

Arnside is a village and civil parish in Cumbria, historically part of Westmorland, near the border with Lancashire, England. The Lake District National Park is located a few miles north. Travelling by road, Arnside is 22 miles (35 km) to the south of Kendal, 25.3 miles (40.7 km) to the east of Ulverston, 35.2 miles (56.6 km) to the east of Barrow-in-Furness, 15.7 miles (25.3 km) to the west of Lancaster and 14.3 miles (23.0 km) to the east of Grange-over-Sands. In the 2001 census the parish had a population of 2,301, increasing at the 2011 census to 2,334.It faces the estuary of the River Kent on the north-eastern corner of Morecambe Bay, within the Arnside and Silverdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and is overlooked by Arnside Knott, a hill that rises out of the estuary. A detailed account of the wildlife of the Arnside and Silverdale AONB is provided by John Wilson and Peter Lennon. Mammals include red squirrel and otter, breeding birds at the time of publication included the bittern which is still found in the area. The village has been attractive to visitors since the 19th century but never developed as a traditional seaside resort. Writing in The Local Historian, Caunce describes it as "an unwitting pioneer of eco-tourism", with visitors attracted by the scenery and in particular Arnside Knott.

The Limestone Link is a waymarked footpath in South Lakeland, Cumbria, England, connecting Arnside and Kirkby Lonsdale, a distance of 13 miles (21 km).Starting at Arnside railway station on the estuary of the River Kent, the path traverses the Arnside and Silverdale AONB, crosses the West Coast Main Line and the M6 motorway, climbs Hutton Roof Crags (899 feet (274 m), an SSSI celebrated for its limestone pavements), and drops down into the market town of Kirkby Lonsdale on the A65 road and the River Lune.
