Wellington railway station serves the town of Wellington, Shropshire, England. It is situated on the former Great Western Railway's London Paddington to Birkenhead via Birmingham Snow Hill line. Trains are operated by West Midlands Railway (who manage the station), Avanti West Coast and Transport for Wales.

Wellington is a constituent market town of Telford and a civil parish in the borough of Telford and Wrekin, Shropshire, England. It is situated 3 miles (4.8 km) northwest of Telford town centre and 12 miles (19 km) east of Shrewsbury. The summit of The Wrekin lies 3 miles southwest of the town. The population of the town was 25,554 in 2011.

The Severn was an Independent Local Radio station serving north & central Shropshire and the Telford & Wrekin area. The station was owned by MNA Broadcasting but was sold to UTV Media and merged on Monday 26 March 2012 with The Wyre and 107.7 The Wolf to form Signal 107, a station serving the Wolverhampton, Shropshire and north Worcestershire area.

107.4 Telford FM was an Independent Local Radio station broadcasting in Telford, Shropshire and the surrounding areas of Bridgnorth and Newport from 3 May 1999 until 20 September 2010. In 2010, the station was later renamed as 'The Severn' to match their sister station and it began to broadcast for more areas in Shropshire. The management and studio location stayed the same during this time.

Wrekin College is an independent co-educational boarding and day school located in Wellington, Shropshire, England. It was founded by Sir John Bayley in 1880. It is now co-located with a preparatory school, The Old Hall School, founded by 1835. The two schools merged their governance and formed one trust in 2007.Part of the Allied Schools, it is also a member of the Headmasters' and Headmistresses' Conference.

New College Telford was a sixth form college situated in Wellington, an area within Telford, Shropshire, England. During December 2017 the merger between Telford College of Arts and Technology, and New College Telford, was officially certified by the Government, meaning the college now trades as Telford College since September 2018.

Ercall Wood Academy is a co-educational secondary school located in Wellington in the English county of Shropshire.It is an academy converter and is a member of the Learning Community Trust. The school was formerly called Ercall Wood Technology College but changed its name when it joined the trust in June 2018.

The Princess Royal Hospital is a teaching hospital located in Apley Castle, Telford, England. It forms the Telford site of the Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust and serves patients in Telford and Wrekin, the rest of Shropshire, and Powys, in conjunction with the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital.

Dothill is a small district in the north-western part of Telford, England. It is located to the north-west of Wellington, one of the old towns that form a part of the modern-day new town of Telford. The area of Dothill used to be the home of the Forester family, including Sir William Forester, in the 17th century. Nowadays, Dothill is mainly a residential area, having been built up in the 1960s and 1990s. The main housing estate in Dothill is the Brooklands Estate, as well as the Harley Close Estate, which was built up in the 1990s. Dothill also has its own infant and primary schools and its own secondary school, the Charlton School, which in 2016, relocated to a new site on the vacant Blessed Robert Johnson Catholic College in Apley Avenue. However, this is still within the Dothill Area. There are also some recreational countryside areas and a pool, called Dothill Pool, which is home for wildlife such as ducks and locally famous swans. Nearby areas include Wellington, Admaston, Shawbirch and Apley. Dothill is also close to The Princess Royal Hospital, which is located in the neighbouring area, Apley. There is also a row of shops in the Brooklands estate, consisting of a convenience store, hair salon, charity shop, spa, fish-bar and a butcher's shop. There is also a Co-operative Food store located near the Charlton School. Dothill also had two blocks of flats, Apley Court and Haughmond Court (demolished 2016). These tower blocks overlooked Wellington, Apley, Shawbirch and other nearby areas. There is also a footbridge located near the old Charlton School. This footbridge goes over the A5223 (Whitchurch Drive) providing access from Dothill to Apley Woods.

Charlton School is a coeducational secondary school located in Telford, Shropshire, England. In May 2015 the school was placed in special measures after being graded "Inadequate" by Ofsted.Charlton School works in partnership with Dothill Primary School, forming the 'Dothill and Charlton Sports and Learning Community'. Both schools until July 2015 were under the Principalship of Mr N Renshaw with each school supported by a Head of Secondary and Head of Primary Phase. However, as of September 2015 both schools have their own leadership.

Apley Castle was a medieval fortified manor in the village of Hadley, Shropshire, England.
