The Palazzo Orsini di Gravina is a Renaissance-style palace on number 3 Via Monteoliveto, in the San Lorenzo quarter of Rione San Giuseppe-Carità, of central Naples, Italy. Since 1940, it has housed the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Naples. It is located across the street and a few doors north of the sleek and modern Palazzo delle Poste (Post Office). Across the street at the north end of the palace, is the Piazza Monteoliveto with its Fountain and the church of Sant'Anna dei Lombardi.

The Fountain of Monteoliveto (Fontana di Monteoliveto) is a late-Baroque monumental fountain in central Naples, Italy. It is also called the Fountain of Charles II or of the Small King (del Re Piccolo).

Sant'Anna dei Lombardi, (Italian: St. Anne of the Lombards), and also known as Santa Maria di Monte Oliveto, is an ancient church and convent located in piazza Monteoliveto in central Naples, Italy. Across Monteoliveto street from the Fountain in the square is the Renaissance palace of Orsini di Gravina.

The Palazzo Pignatelli di Monteleone is a monumental aristocratic palace located on the calata Trinità maggiore number 2, in central Naples, province of Campania, Italy. The facade is at the edge of the Piazza del Gesu Nuovo.

Santa Maria Donnalbina is a church located on the street of the same name in Naples, Italy. A church at the site existed in the 9th century, but was reconstructed in the 17th century by Bartolomeo Picchiatti, and the Baroque style church underwent further reconstructions under Arcangelo Guglielmelli. The interior was heavily encrusted with stucco decorations (1701) by Antonio Guidetti, and the altar is made of polychrome marbles. The counterfacade has an organ from 1699. The ceiling was decorated with canvases by Nicola Malinconico, also the author of the paintings depicting the saints, as well as the fresco in the counter-facade. In the second chapel on right are two saints (1736) painted by Domenico Antonio Vaccaro; in the presbytery and transepts are frescoes and canvases by Francesco Solimena. The church holds the funereal monument of Giovanni Paisiello, sculpted in Neoclassic style by Angelo Viva in 1816, which originally stood in the small church of the Immacolata del Terz'Ordine di San Francesco, which was torn down during the opening of via Guglielmo Sanfelice during the so-called Risanamento of Naples, in which a rationalizing enlargement of streets was attempted. The church, closed since 1972, has been reopened to the public after 2010.

The Palazzo delle Poste (Italian: "Post Office Palace") is located in Piazza Matteotti in central Naples. It is an example of architecture completed during the fascist government of Benito Mussolini. Another such example is the nearby Palazzo della Casa del Mutilato and the adjacent Palazzo della Questura (Police Headquarters) on via Medina. Just north and across the street on via Monteoliveto is the 16th-century Palazzo Orsini di Gravina. To make way for the building, houses from the rione of San Giuseppe-Carità were demolished in 1930. Construction began in 1928 under Costanzo Ciano, head of the Ministry of Communications; when finally completed in 1936, it was inaugurated by the then minister Antonio Stefano Benni. The design was by the Bolognese architect Giuseppe Vaccaro, and was influenced by the Rationalist style of Italian architecture promoted by Marcello Piacentini. The architect Gino Franzi modified and completed the final building. The design incorporated the adjacent cloister of Monteoliveto into the complex. On October 7, 1943, a few days after the Four Days of Naples, the Palazzo delle Poste suffered a violent explosion, leaving many people dead or wounded. It is thought that the building had been mined with timed fuses by the retreating German army.The attic now has a museum in honor of Vincenzo Tucci, a journalist for Il Mattino. In the lobby, which rises nearly the full height of the building, there is a sculpture dedicated to the "fallen" by Arturo Martini.

Gesù Nuovo (Italian: New Jesus) is the name of a church and a square in Naples, Italy. They are located just outside the western boundary of the historic center of the city. To the southeast of the spire, one can see a block away the Fountain of Monteoliveto and the piazza of the church of Sant'Anna dei Lombardi. The square is a result of the expansion of the city to the west beginning in the early 16th century under the rule of Spanish viceroy Pedro Alvarez de Toledo. Via Toledo is an ancient street and one of the most important shopping thoroughfares in the city of Naples, Italy. The street is almost 1.2 kilometres (0.75 mi) long and starts at Piazza Dante and ends in Piazza Trieste e Trento, near Piazza del Plebiscito.

Santa Maria la Nova is a Renaissance style, now-deconsecrated, Roman Catholic church and monastery in central Naples. The church is located at the beginning of a side street directly across from the east side of the main post office, a few blocks south of the Church and Monastery of Santa Chiara. Today the adjacent monastery is a meeting site and hosts the Museo ARCA of modern religious art.
