Loyang MRT station is a future underground Mass Rapid Transit station on the Cross Island line (CRL) located in Pasir Ris, Singapore. It will be located underneath Loyang Avenue, at the junction with Loyang Lane. The station is in the vicinity of Loyang Industrial Estate, Loyang Valley Condominium, and Loyang Bus Depot.

Loyang Bus Depot is the second bus depot to be built by the Land Transport Authority in Singapore. It is located at Loyang Way at the junction of Pasir Ris Drive 3 and houses 31 services under the Loyang Bus Package. Loyang Bus Depot is currently being operated by Go-Ahead Singapore under the contracting model package. Completed in 2015, the new bus depot is able to accommodate about 500 buses and be equipped with facilities for daily bus operations, bus maintenance and a rest area for bus drivers. On 19 June 2016, the Loyang Bus Depot was officially opened by MP for Pasir Ris-Punggol Group Representation Constituency, Zainal Sapari and the Group Chief Executive of the Go-Ahead Group David Brown. Loyang Bus Depot Carnival was also held on the same day to allow the public to tour the depot and also learn more about Go-Ahead Singapore.

The Al-Istighfar Mosque (Malay: Masjid Al-Istighfar) is a mosque in Pasir Ris, Singapore. This three-storey mosque is one of the most recent mosques built under Phase Three of the Mosque Building Fund programme. Completed in 2000, it is located in the East, along Pasir Ris Drive 3. it can be recognized by its outstanding blue dome and modern yet Islamic architecture. The mosque, which can accommodate a congregation of 3,300 people offers madrasah and kindergarten classes. It is a hive of activities during the evening when religious classes open its doors to Muslims in the vicinity. The mosque is wheelchair accessible as there are ramps and a lift that serves all floors. The mosque is fully air conditioned in all of the prayer halls. As the number of Muslims in the neighbourhood increases, the mosque is overcrowded due to the high demand during peak periods such as Friday prayers and Ramadan night prayers. On the 27 January 2017, the Masjid Al-Istighfar opened a new temporary prayer facility located opposite the mosque. This is to cater to the large number of Muslim worshippers for its Friday prayers. The temporary prayer facility, which can house 500 worshippers, is a sheltered structure with large fans hanging from its ceiling. It is about 15m across the road from the mosque.To be scheduled to be completed by end-December 2018, overflow prayer spaces are built to meet with the ever increasing worshippers every Fridays. These overflow spaces are tiled with rows where worshippers can pray accordingly. Large fans are installed on the metal roof so worshippers can pray comfortably. Additionally, ablution spaces are built along the perimeter of the upgraded mosque. This brings the total capacity of the mosque combined with the temporary prayer facility to more than 3,800 worshippers. The mosque will be redeveloped in the near future according to the Islamic Religious Council of Singapore (MUIS)

The Selarang Barracks incident, also known as the Barrack Square incident or the Selarang Square Squeeze, was a revolt of British and Australian prisoners-of-war (POWs) interned in a Japanese camp in Changi, Singapore. The events started on 30 August 1942 after the Japanese recaptured four POWs escaped from the Selarang Barracks camps, and required that the other prisoners sign a pledge not to escape. After they refused, they were forced to crowd in the areas around the barracks square for nearly five days with little water and no sanitation. The executions of the recaptured POWs failed to break the men. The commanders, however, finally capitulated on 5 September when their men started to fall ill and die from dysentery. Upon signing the pledge, the men were allowed to return to the barracks buildings.

Loyang is a subzone region located in the town of Pasir Ris in the East Region of Singapore. The region consists of three subzones, Loyang West, Loyang East and Flora Drive. The name means brass or tray in Malay. The region is served with the exterior road of Loyang Avenue, which leads to Pasir Ris and Tampines and Changi City Point. Much of the industrial estate is dealing with aviation related services, due to its proximity to Changi Airport. Loyang was a Malay kampong that once existed in the area, Kampong Loyang or Loyang Besar. Before redevelopment, its village mosque, Kampong Loyang Besar Mosque, used to be located in the area.The area today is well-developed with residential estates, industrial parks and amenities such as NTUC Downtown East on Jalan Loyang Besar.

The Changi Chapel and Museum is a war museum dedicated to Singapore's history during the Second World War and the Japanese occupation of Singapore. After the British army was defeated by the Imperial Japanese Army in the Battle of Singapore, thousands of prisoners-of-war (POWs) were imprisoned in Changi prison camp for three and a half years. While interned there, the POWs built numerous chapels, one of which was named St George's Church.

Pasir Ris East MRT station is a future underground Mass Rapid Transit station on the Cross Island MRT line located in Pasir Ris, Singapore. It will be located along Pasir Ris Drive 1, between Pasir Ris Street 12 and Pasir Ris Street 11.

Cosford Container Park is an outdoor shopping mall and entertainment complex located in downtown Changi, Singapore. The tenants are housed in metal cubes and shipping containers.The park opened on 29 January 2024.

Loyang View Secondary School (LVSS / LVS) is a co-educational government secondary school located in Pasir Ris, Singapore. It was formed by the merger of Loyang Secondary School and Greenview Secondary School in 2018.

The Changi Murals are a set of five paintings of biblical theme painted by Stanley Warren, a British bombardier and prisoner-of-war (POW) interned at the Changi Prison, during the Japanese occupation of Singapore in World War II (WWII). His murals were completed under difficult conditions of sickness, limited materials and hardships. With a message of universal love and forgiveness, they helped to uplift the spirits of the POWs and sick when they sought refuge in the prison chapel. After the war, the walls of the chapel were distempered over, hiding the murals from view. They were forgotten until its rediscovery in 1958. Due to their historical significance, an international search was conducted to locate the original painter in helping to restore the damaged and faded murals. Stanley was eventually found in 1959 and, after much persuasion, agreed to assist in the restoration project. He made three trips to Singapore between 1963 and 1988 to restore his former paintings. Due to Stanley's advanced age, only four of the original murals were fully restored. In the 1990s, the former site of the murals was gazetted as a Heritage Site by the National Heritage Board of Singapore.
