Bad Cannstatt station is the second largest station of the German city of Stuttgart after Stuttgart Hauptbahnhof and has eight platform tracks. Together with Untertürkheim station, it is the oldest station in Württemberg.

Stuttgart Spring Festival (in German called Stuttgarter Frühlingsfest or sometimes vernacular Cannstatter Wasen or just Wasen) was an annual fair that takes place in the German city of Stuttgart between the middle of April and the beginning of May. The festival took place on the Cannstatter Wasen, traditional fairgrounds in Stuttgart's Bad Cannstatt district. It was slightly smaller than the festival in the autumn (and therefore occasionally also called the "small Wasen"), but it was the largest spring festival in Europe. Like the autumn fair, the Frühlingsfest offered a variety of fairground attractions. The tallest attraction was the 47 metre Ferris wheel and the fair almost invariably featured a major roller coaster. The Frühlingsfest started on a Saturday with the traditional opening of a beer barrel by the Stuttgart mayor. The Fruit Column, a tall wooden structure decorated with fruits, was introduced to the Stuttgarter Frühlingsfest in 1995. Originally it was only present at the autumn Volksfest but in 1995 it was left to stand on the festival site all year round. However, in later years, this practice was changed and once again the column began to be dismantled in the autumn of each year, leaving just the base. This carried a large can during the Stuttgarter Frühlingsfest.

The Cannstatter Volksfest is an annual three-week Volksfest (beer festival and travelling funfair) in Stuttgart, Germany. It is sometimes also referred to by foreign visitors as the Stuttgart Beer Festival, although it is actually more of an autumnal fair. The festival takes place at the Cannstatter Wasen from late September to early October, spanning a period over three weekends, ending the second Sunday in October. The extensive Wasen area is in the Stuttgart city district of Bad Cannstatt, near the river Neckar. A smaller variant of the Stuttgart festival, the Stuttgart Spring Festival, is also held each year in Wasen. Although the Volksfest is not strictly speaking a beer festival, it is considered by many to be the second largest beer celebration in the world after the Munich Oktoberfest. According to estimates about 4.2 million people visited the festival in 2006. The Volksfest begins one week later than the Oktoberfest.

The fruit column (German: Fruchtsäule) is a 26-metre-high (85 ft) wood column decorated with fruits in Stuttgart, Germany. It weighs 3.5 tons and is remains the landmark of the Cannstatter Wasen in Stuttgart although it is towered by numerous roundabouts. Already at the first celebration in 1818 there was a fruit column as landmark, which had been sketched and built by the master of building of yards of Wuerttemberg at that time, Nikolaus Thouret. After the First World War, with which beginning of the first German republic became, the fruit column was banned as "monarchistic" leftover from the Cannstatter Wasen. Since 1935, it stands for the 100th anniversary again on its traditional place. The fruit column, whose design was changed in the course of the years, was dismantled until recently annually after conclusion of the people celebration. Every few years a new fruit column with other Design was established again and again. Starting in 1995 it was experimentally let long all-season stand by way of trial and was thus also on Stuttgart spring celebrations to be seen for the first time. Since a few years only the column is dismantled and the underbody, in which some statuses of information are and which carries the Cannstatter city can during the spring celebration, left untouched.

The Cannstatter Wasen is a 35 hectare festival area on the banks of the Neckar river in the part of Stuttgart known as Bad Cannstatt. The Cannstatter Wasen form part of the Neckar Park Fairground. Each year the Wasen hosts the Cannstatter Volksfest and the Stuttgart Spring Festival, along with other events such as concerts and circuses.

Bad Cannstatt, also called Cannstatt (until July 23, 1933) or Kannstadt (until 1900), is one of the outer stadtbezirke, or city boroughs, of Stuttgart in Baden-Württemberg, Germany. Bad Cannstatt is the oldest and most populous of Stuttgart's boroughs, and one of the most historically significant towns in the area of Stuttgart. The town is home to the Cannstatter Wasen and Cannstatter Volksfest beer festivals, the MHPArena (VfB Stuttgart), the Hanns-Martin-Schleyer-Halle, and the Porsche-Arena.

The House of Music (Haus der Musik) is a music museum operated by the Landesmuseum Württemberg. It is housed in the Fruchtkasten, located on the Schillerplatz in downtown Stuttgart.

The Nesenbach is a stream in Stuttgart, the capital of Baden-Württemberg, Germany. It is a tributary of the Neckar. It has its source in the city's southwestern district of Vaihingen. After 12.8 kilometres, it discharges into the Neckar in the east of Stuttgart, opposite Bad Cannstatt. Probably due to the protecting effect of its narrow vale, the development of the large city of Stuttgart was possible despite its otherwise disadvantageous topography. From 1575 to 1874, water from the Glems river was deviated through a tunnel to the Nesenbach to ensure water supply in dry seasons.

Hanns-Martin-Schleyer-Halle (sometimes shortened to Schleyer-Halle) is an indoor arena located in Stuttgart, Germany. The capacity of the arena is nearly 15,000 people. The venue was built in 1983 and is named for Hanns Martin Schleyer, a German former Schutzstaffel officer and employer representative, who was kidnapped and killed by the terrorist group Red Army Faction. It has a 285,714-metre (937,382 ft) track made of wood.

Wilhelma-Theater is a theatre in Stuttgart, Baden-Württemberg, Germany.

Porsche-Arena is a multi-purpose arena, located in Stuttgart, Germany. The seating capacity of the arena varies, from 5,100 to 8,000 people and it was opened in 2006, after 14 months of construction. The arena is part of a sport complex located in Stuttgart's NeckarPark, situated between the Scharrena Stuttgart, MHPArena and Hanns Martin Schleyer Halle. To fund the construction, costs had already been pre-construction sales of the name rights planned. Dr. Ing h.c. F. Porsche AG bought the name rights, for a ten million euro, for a term of 20 years. It is the venue for the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix, a WTA Tour event and also hosted some matches at the 2007 World Men's Handball Championship. Anton Hunger: "The tournament is now at home in Stuttgart. We knew we’d make mistakes at the first edition. But we didn’t promise too much last year and have eliminated almost all the mistakes in 2007. A total of more than 36,000 spectators were in the arena. The number was up on the previous year even though seating was slightly reduced to improve comfort."

The Rosenstein tunnel (German: Rosensteintunnel) is the name of several past, present and planned tunnels in the Stuttgart metropolitan area, in the German state of Baden-Württemberg. Today it is a railway tunnel under Rosenstein Park to Bad Cannstatt. It now connects the Fils Valley Railway (Filstalbahn) from Stuttgart Central Station (Hauptbahnhof) to the Rosenstein Bridge over the Neckar to Bad Cannstatt station.
