Geylang (IPA: ) is a planning area and township located on the eastern fringe of the Central Region of Singapore, bordering Hougang and Toa Payoh in the north, Marine Parade in the south, Bedok in the east, and Kallang in the west. Geylang is previously known as a red-light district, particularly the areas along Geylang Road. Today only 3-4 units remain for brothels and street walkers are hard to come by. Geylang is also where one of Singapore's oldest Malay settlements, Geylang Serai, is located. During Ramadan, the neighbourhood is famous for its popular and iconic Ramadan lights and bazaars.

Masjid Haji Mohd Salleh (Jawi:مسجد الحاج محمد صالح) is a mosque located at Geylang in the Central Region, Singapore. Originally a small mosque founded in 1896, it has been rebuilt twice, with the present-day mosque being a 1998 reconstruction. Unusually for a place of worship, it is adjacent to Singapore's only legal red light district.

Geylang Road is a major trunk road linking Singapore's eastern suburban areas with the country's central business district. Deriving its name from the area of Geylang where the road cuts through, it is fronted on both sides by low-rise shophouses protected statutorily from urban redevelopment in keeping with its history and urban heritage. The road itself begins at the east where it meets Changi Road at the junction with Geylang Serai and Joo Chiat Road and continues westward until Kallang Road over the Kallang River at Sir Arthur's Bridge. Previously it was the only main thoroughfare linking Changi and Kallang, the former being the location of the Changi Airport while the latter was home to Singapore's first purpose-built civil airport, the Kallang Airport. As traffic mushroomed, Geylang Road was converted into a one-way street, and a parallel road, Sims Avenue, was constructed to the north to cater for traffic in the opposite direction.

Hua Giam Si (traditional Chinese: 華嚴禪寺; simplified Chinese: 华严禅寺), is a Buddhist monastery in Singapore. The center was originally set up by Venerable Zhen Ding. The present premises are located at Geylang, Singapore.

Gay World, formally known as Happy World was one of the famous trio of "World" amusement parks in Kallang, Singapore. It was formerly located between Geylang Road and Grove Road (now Mountbatten Road). Together with the other two "Worlds", Great World Amusement Park (1930s–1978) at Kim Seng Road and New World Amusement Park (1923–1987) at Jalan Besar, Gay World Park was hustling and bustling with nightlife during the 1930s to 1960s. These amusement parks were especially popular among Singaporeans, as it was the locals' only form of entertainment, before television or shopping malls were introduced. Gay World Park was an all-in-one complex, where visitors were offered a wide range of entertainment, from films to shopping and games. However, as its popularity began to dip in the 1970s, Gay World Park was eventually demolished in 2000 to make way for residential estates.

The Singapore Badminton Hall (Abbreviation: SBH; Chinese: 新加坡羽毛球馆; pinyin: xīnjiāpō yǔmáoqiúguǎn) is an indoor sports hall for badminton located at 1 Lorong 23 Geylang in Geylang, Singapore.

Singapore School for the Deaf (SSD) was a school for deaf children in Singapore. It was operated by the Singapore Association for the Deaf (SADeaf). It opened in 1963.In January 1977, Dr. Jerry Goh Ewe Hong established the Philosophy of Total Communication or TC at the school.From the 1980s to the early 1990s, its enrollment was about 300. By the 2010s, the number of students was below 20, and the school in 2011 froze enrolment, resulting in a student body of two in 2017. That year, the school closed and sent its students to Lighthouse School.

Boon Keng (Chinese: 文庆, Tamil: பூன் கெங்) is a subzone within the planning area of Kallang, Singapore, as defined by the Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA). The smallest in terms of physical area among the nine subzones that make up Kallang, Boon Keng is bounded by the Pelton Canal in the north; the Kallang–Paya Lebar Expressway (KPE) and Sims Way in the east; Sims Avenue in the south; and the Kallang River in the west.Primarily a prime residential area, this area is served by Boon Keng MRT station along the North East Line and Kallang MRT station along the East West Line. A plot of land at Lorong 3 Geylang is slated for future development into a new residential precinct. Geylang West Community Club is located within this subzone. This area took its name from Dr Lim Boon Keng, a prominent figure in Singapore history.

The Former Singapore Badminton Hall (Abbreviation: SBH; Chinese: 新加坡羽毛球馆; pinyin: xīnjiāpō yǔmáoqiúguǎn), formerly Singapore Badminton Stadium, is a former indoor sports hall for badminton located on Guillemard Road in Geylang, Singapore. The old facility was previously situated at 100 Guillemard Road. The hall's nearby building (102 Guillemard Road) was formerly the headquarters of the Singapore Badminton Association (SBA). Both buildings were refurnished in May 2009 as the commercial centre Guillemard Village. The current Singapore Badminton Hall is located at 1 Lorong 23 Geylang.

Kallang MRT station is an above-ground Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) station on the East West line in Kallang, Singapore. Located next to the Kallang River and along Sims Avenue at the junction of Lorong 1 Geylang, this used to be the nearest MRT station to the National Stadium until Stadium MRT station on the Circle line opened on 17 April 2010. Today, a sheltered walkway links Kallang station with the new Singapore Sports Hub. Kallang station is the last above-ground station on the eastern section of the East West line for trains travelling westwards. The Lorong 1 Geylang bus terminal is located across the station.

Kwan Yin Chan Lin Zen Meditation Centre (KYCL) (Chinese: 観音禪林) is a Buddhist zen centre in Singapore and Malaysia. The organization was set up by Venerable Chi Boon (釋繼聞法師) in 1991. The present KYCL centres are located at Geylang, Singapore, KYCL International Zen Centre at Pengerang, Desaru and Fu Hui Yuan at Muar (inaugurated in 2018) in Johor, Malaysia.
