College of Aviation & Technology (CATECH) is an engineering institute in Bangladesh to provide internationally recognized Higher Academic Qualification in Aeronautical Engineering as well as pilot training. The college is an approved learning center of Edexcel, BTEB and National University of Bangladesh.

Uttara High School and College (also known as Uttara High School, or abbreviated as UHSC) (Bengali: উত্তরা হাই স্কুল ও কলেজ) is a Bangladeshi primary school, secondary school also higher secondary school (grades I-XII) standing in few meters from Dhaka-Mymensingh Road (Asian Highway) close to Azampur bus-stand. It is situated in the heart of Uttara Model Town at Sector- 07 about two kilometers from the Shahjalal International Airport.

Shanto-Mariam University of Creative Technology (SMUCT) (Bengali: শান্ত-মরিয়ম সৃজনশীল প্রযুক্তি বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়) is a private university established in 2003 in Dhaka, Bangladesh. It was named after Md. Imamul Kabir Shanto (founder and chairman) and his wife Tahmina Chowdhury Kabir (Mariam) (founder and vice chairman).

Mugdho Mancha (Bengali: মুগ্ধ মঞ্চ, romanized: Mugdhô Môncô, lit. 'Glamorous stage') is an outdoor cultural stage and event venue located in Uttara, Dhaka, Bangladesh. It was built at Botomool which is situated at the western end of Rabindra Sarani in Sector 7 and was named as Language Warrior Poet Mahbub Ul Alam Chowdhury Mancha in memory of Bengali Language Movement activist Mahbub Ul Alam Choudhury while organizing street drama in 2016. The Dhaka North City Corporation later assured to construct a stage structure at the site following the demands of Gitanjali Lalitkala Academy founder director Mahbub Amin Mithu. In 2022, the structure was inaugurated as the Bangabandhu Mukto Mancha in memory of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the first president of Bangladesh. Later in 2024, it was renamed to the present name in memory of Mir Mahfuzur Rahman Mugdho, a student who died in July massacre.

Asian University of Bangladesh (Bengali: এশিয়ান ইউনিভার্সিটি অব বাংলাদেশ) or AUB is a private university in Bangladesh. It was established on 4 January 1996 by the Private University Act 1992. The AUB permanent campus is at Ashulia. The university is affiliated by University Grants Commission (Bangladesh).

BGMEA University of Fashion and Technology or BUFT is a university in Bangladesh. It was established with the aim to produce technically competent human resources for the ready-made garments sector of the country.

Milestone College (Bengali: মাইলস্টোন কলেজ) is a Bengali and English-medium, co-educational private school in Uttara Model Town, Dhaka, Bangladesh. It was founded by Colonel Nuran Nabi (Retd) who was the founding principal of RAJUK Uttara Model College.Milestone ranked tenth nationally in Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examination results in 2014.

House Building (Bengali: হাউজ বিল্ডিং) is an area of Uttara, a suburb of Dhaka, Bangladesh. There is a bus stop in the same name. The name comes from the Bangladesh House Building Finance Corporation located in the area.This area has been used many times by the protesters to protest. In 2015, Students of private universities were staging strikes and demonstrations in various areas, demanding repeal of VAT imposed on tuition fees. House Building was one of those areas.Under the banner of safe road movement students protested in the area after three years.In 2019, several garment workers protested by blocking the house building on the Dhaka-Mymensingh highway demanding various things including arrears of salary and government approved lowest limit of wage.In 2021, a group of protesters gathered in the area for their nine demands in order to make roads safe. Uttara West Thana (Bengali: উত্তরা পশ্চিম থানা) is a thana of Bangladesh situated in Sector 11 of Uttara, Dhaka.This thana was established on 4 September 2012 to decrease the responsibility of former Uttara Thana (present name Uttara East Thana).Its total area is 8 square kilometres (3.1 sq mi). This thana is formed by Abdullahpur, Bawnia, Kamarpara, Batulia, Roashdia and Sector 3, 5, 7, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14 of the town.

Uttara East Thana (Bengali: উত্তরা পূর্ব থানা) is a Thana of Bangladesh situated in Sector 4 of Uttara, Dhaka (Eastern side of Dhaka-Mymensingh Highway).Uttara East was established on 31 May 1997. Its former name was Uttara Thana. The name was changed after new thana established named Uttara West Thana in western side of the town of Uttara.This thana is formed by Sector 1, 2, 4, 6 and 8 of the town.

RAJUK Uttara Model College (RUMC) (Bengali: রাজউক উত্তরা মডেল কলেজ) is a co-educational College in Uttara, Dhaka, Bangladesh. It is situated about a kilometer north of Shahjalal International Airport. Established in 1994, the institution teaches its students in Bengali and English under the Bangladeshi national curriculum. It has two recurring schedules: Morning and Day. Students are admitted into specific grades; according to the availability of seats, starting from the sixth up to the twelfth grade.
