Kemeys Inferior

Kemeys Manor, Langstone, Newport, Wales, is a manor house dating from the 13th century. The family that built it was established in South Wales in the Middle Ages by Edward, Lord of Kemeys and the manor was held by his descendants until the 18th century. The building was greatly enlarged in the 16th and 17th centuries and comprises a tower, hall and attached ranges. Kemeys is a Grade II* listed building. A barn to the north of the house, and Kemeys Folly to the south, are both listed at Grade II. The park surrounding the house is listed Grade II on the Cadw/ICOMOS Register of Parks and Gardens of Special Historic Interest in Wales. The manor and the folly remain private residences and are not open to the public.

Coed-y-Caerau (Welsh for 'wood of the forts') is a hamlet about 1,400 metres (4,600 ft) north of Langstone in Newport, Wales (Welsh: Casnewydd), historically in Monmouthshire (Welsh: Sir Fynwy). It is the site of prehistoric and Roman hillforts.

Pen-toppen-ash is the site of a series of Welsh earthwork enclosures at Coed-y-Caerau north of Langstone, Newport. Archaeologists consider the structures as dating from late prehistoric times.

Llanbedr, also spelled Llanbeder, is a hamlet in Newport, Wales. Located in the eastern part of Langstone, it forms part of the community and the historical parish of Langstone.

Kemeys Inferior Motte (also documented as Kemys Motte, Gipsies Mount and Gipsies Tump) is the remains of a motte-and-bailey castle or ringwork structure located at the north of the parish of Kemeys Inferior, Newport, Wales. It has been a scheduled monument since 1931.

Langstone is a community and village of the city of Newport, Wales. The area is governed by the Newport City Council. The community had a population of 3,279 in 2011.

Newbridge-on-Usk (Welsh: Pontnewydd ar Wysg) is a hamlet in the village and parish of Tredunnock, near Usk, Monmouthshire, south east Wales, in the United Kingdom.

New Bridge crosses the River Usk at Newbridge-on-Usk between Usk and Caerleon. The bridge carries the B4236. It was constructed in 1779, probably by William Edwards, a prominent civil engineer of Pontypridd, or by a member of his bridge-building dynasty. The bridge has Grade II* listed building status.

Cat's Ash (Welsh: Cathonnen) is a small hamlet to the east of the city centre of the city of Newport, South East Wales. The placename in both English and Welsh refers to ash trees. The Usk Valley Walk passes close by.

Tredunnock (Welsh: Tredynog) is a small village in Monmouthshire, south east Wales, in the United Kingdom. Tredunnock is located four miles (6.4 km) northeast of Caerleon and four miles south of Usk.

The Church of St Andrew, Tredunnock, Monmouthshire is a parish church with its origins in the 12th or 13th century. A Grade II* listed building, the church remains an active parish church.

Bertholey House, is a country house near the village of Llantrisant, in Monmouthshire, Wales. A Tudor house originally stood on the site, the home of the Kemeys family. In the 1830s, a new mansion was built, in a Neoclassical style, for Colthurst Bateman. This house was almost completely destroyed in a fire in 1905. From 1999, the mansion was restored and is again a private home. The gardens and grounds are listed on the Cadw/ICOMOS Register of Parks and Gardens of Special Historic Interest in Wales.
