Red Gap, also known as Saggart Hill or Slieve Thoul, is a hill 397 metres above sea level situated 16 kilometres southwest of Dublin city centre in the Dublin Mountains close to Saggart and Rathcoole. The hill gets its name from the townland of 'Redgap' which lies just to the north of it. Today, Red Gap is home to farmland and telecommunication masts. The hill has FM radio transmitters for Newstalk, Kfm, LMFM, iRadio and East Coast FM. The hill is also home to low-power fill in transmitters of Nova 100 and 4FM, designed to cover the Dublin commuter belt The old-time song "Campbell's farewell to Red Gap" is believed to be referring to this hill.

The Brittas Ponds, sometimes now Brittas Pond (Irish: Locháin an Bhriotáis), also known as Brittas Reservoir, Brittas Lake(s), Glenaraneen Lake or Glenaraneen Mill Ponds, are a pair of artificial lakes (or the upper of the two), situated north of the village of Brittas in the far south of the traditional County Dublin, near the County Wicklow border, in Ireland. They are in the jurisdiction of South Dublin County Council. From inception, the ponds were fed from the River Camac, returning water to it downstream. The southern pond is fully watered as of 2023, while the northern has partly dried into a marshy area.

The Red Bog (Irish: an Mhóin Rua) Special Area of Conservation or SAC is a Natura 2000 site in County Kildare, close to the town of Blessington in County Wicklow, Ireland. The qualifying interests by which it is protected as an SAC are the presence of a specific habitat type: transitional mires and quaking bogs.

Kilteel (Irish: Cill Chéile) is the name of a village, townland and civil parish located in the barony of South Salt, County Kildare, Ireland. The townland of Kilteel Upper contains the remains of a church with a decorated Romanesque chancel arch, the ruins of a 13th-century preceptory of the Knights Hospitaller and a well-preserved 15th-century tower house. The historic settlement is located on the southwest corner of the English Pale and served an important function as a border fortress during the medieval period.

St. Mary's Church is a Church of Ireland church located in Blessington, County Wicklow, Ireland. The church was built by Michael Boyle, Archbishop of Armagh in the 1670s and 1680s, and dedicated on 17 September 1683. The clock tower houses the oldest surviving set of bells in Ireland, the original bells used since its foundation, cast in 1682 by Bartlett bellfounders of London. The tower is also notable for possessing what has been described as the oldest public clock in Ireland, and/or the oldest working turret clock in Ireland.

Blessington, historically known as Ballycomeen (Irish: Baile Coimín, meaning 'town of Comyn', from the Irish surname Ó Coimín), is a town on the River Liffey in County Wicklow, Ireland, near the border with County Kildare. It is around 25 km south-west of Dublin, and is situated on the N81 road, which connects Dublin to Tullow.
