The Torca River (Spanish: Río Torca) is a river on the Bogotá savanna and a left tributary of the Bogotá River. The river, in a basin of 6,008.69 hectares (23.1997 sq mi), originates in the Eastern Hills of Bogotá at an altitude of 2,837 metres (9,308 ft). It flows in the north of the Colombian capital, through the locality of Usaquén and into the Bogotá River in Suba at the border with Chía, at 2,545 metres (8,350 ft) above sea level. The Torca wetland is located near its mouth.

Usaquén is the 1st locality of Bogotá, capital of Colombia. It is located in the north of the city. This district is mostly inhabited by upper middle and upper class residents. It is designated as Bogotá's #1 locality, while being a separate municipality of Cundinamarca until 1954, when it was annexed into the city. Today, Usaquén is home to more than 480,000 inhabitants as projected by 2008. The Eastern Hills form the natural border to the east.

The Club Colombia Masters was a golf tournament co-sanctioned by the European Challenge Tour and the Tour de las Américas and was first played in 2007. The event was held at the Country Club de Bogotá, in Bogotá, Colombia. The tournament was organized by the Corporacion Internacional de Golf, managed by German Calle Jr. and Jorge Muñoz. This was the first golf tournament ever to be sanctioned by the European Challenge Tour in Colombia. In 2010 it was replaced on the schedule by the Copa Antioquia, held in Medellín.

The Centro Comercial Santafé (English: Santafé Shopping Center) is a mall located in Bogotá, Colombia. It is the fourth largest shopping mall in Colombia (the largest is Centro Mayor in Bogotá), and the fifth in Latin America, surpassed by Leste Aricanduva Mall in São Paulo, Brazil. Opened on May 13, 2006. It is 250,000 square metres or 2,700,000 square feet in area. The mall has 485 shops, including an open foodcourt with 26 restaurants that has a seating for 1,500 persons. The mall also has 10 cinemas, 3,200 parking stalls, and an auditorium. The mall is in the neighborhood of Suba, which is in northeastern Bogotá on the North Highway on 183 street. The mall has access by bus from the municipalities surrounding the city and along the route system of TransMilenio from the Portal North, "2.1 Mirandela." The mall is divided into six squares, which are the Venezuela Plaza, Colombia Plaza, Ecuador Plaza, Peru Plaza, France Plaza, and Italy Plaza. It has 3 floors and two lower levels for parking. The larger stores in the complex are Jumbo (in Plaza Francia), Falabella (in Plaza Italia), and the Cine Colombia, Zara, and Miniso (in Plaza Italia). The complex also includes a wide selection of restaurants. Another Santafé Commercial Center was opened in Medellin on May 2010.

Autopista Norte, also called Autopista paseo de los libertadores (Way of the Liberators Highway), is a major road in Bogotá, Colombia, running through the northern part of the city to its southern end at Avenida Caracas.

Colegio San Carlos is an all-male, private, bilingual (English and Spanish) school in Bogotá, Colombia. The school has been recognized as one of the sources of many national leaders.The school works under the auspice of the local Roman Catholic Benedictine Monasterio de Tibatí, and the Assumption Abbey in Richardton, North Dakota, United States. It enrolls 1,400 students in grades transition through 11th grade which is equivalent to 1st through 12th grades or a combined primary and secondary education in the United States. San Carlos has welcomed students from all creeds and religions: it is not mandatory to be a Catholic to be a San Carlos student. The school has also welcomed people from all walks of life and nationalities, since its inception. However, an IQ test and other intelligence and dexterity examinations are required for students' enrollment in the school. San Carlos is named after Saint Charles Borromeo and its motto, Ora et Labora (Pray and Work), is based on the teachings of Saint Benedict.

Carrera Séptima (Seventh Street), also known as Eduardo Posada Flórez Avenue, is one of the principal transit arteries which crosses the eastern side of Bogotá north and south. It is the most important thoroughfare of the city in the sense of history, culture, economy, and society. Carrera Séptima is bound to the east by the Eastern Hills.

The Bogotá Colombia Temple is the 57th operating temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church).

The Tren Turistico de la Sabana or Turistren runs heritage trains in Bogota, Colombia. The company runs steam trains from Bogota (Sabana railway station) to Parque and Zipaquira.

The Club Campestre El Rancho is a tennis and golf venue in Bogotá, Colombia. Until 2012, the club was the host of the Copa Colsanitas, a WTA Tour Tier-III event (2001–2008), and from 2009 a WTA International tournament. The club previously hosted an ATP Tour event from 1994–2001. The club has 25 clay courts and a stadium court for 2,500 spectators.

The 1938 Santa Ana air show disaster occurred on 24 July 1938 at a military review on the Campo de Marte in the Santa Ana district of Bogota, Colombia. During the review, a Curtiss Hawk II biplane of the Colombian Air Force piloted by Lieutenant César Abadia performed a stunt before crashing into a grandstand and then into the crowd. The pilot attempted to fly between the presidential stand and the stand for diplomats when he miscalculated the distance and the aircraft's wing-tip struck the diplomatic stand. The Hawk II destroyed part of the roof of the presidential stand and then careened through the crowd bursting into flames before it came to a stop upside down. Over fifty people, including civilians and soldiers were killed, and over a hundred injured. Among those in the presidential stand but uninjured were the outgoing Colombian President Alfonso López Pumarejo and his successor Eduardo Santos. Among the wounded was Misael Pastrana Borrero, a future president of Colombia.

Jardines de Paz is a cemetery located north of Bogotá. The cemetery was established in 1970, and has an area of 610,000 square meters, on the eastern side of the Autopista Norte with Calle 200. It has a sector for the military, a chapel, crematoriums, a cafeteria, and administrative offices.
