Ysgol Clywedog (Welsh for 'Clywedog School') is a comprehensive secondary school which serves parts of the city of Wrexham in north-east Wales, in the community of Offa. Ysgol Clywedog is located in the south-west suburbs of Wrexham. The school was named after the nearby River Clywedog, in a competition open to the public, with the final name approved by governors of the school.

The Denbighshire Coalfield in the historic county of Denbighshire in north-east Wales is one of the smaller British coalfields. It extends from near Caergwrle in the north, southwards through Wrexham, Ruabon and Rhosllannerchrugog to Chirk in the south. A small part extends into Shropshire around Oswestry. Beyond Caergwrle the coal-bearing strata continue northwards as the Flintshire Coalfield. Together the two coalfields are known as the North Wales Coalfield.

Croesnewydd Hall is a Grade II* listed building in Wrexham Technology Park, in the west of Wrexham, North Wales. It was built in 1696 as a small mansion, with a farmhouse, possibly to the designs of Peter Ellice. It was purchased and renovated in the 1980s by Clwyd County Council into offices as part of the technology park to develop hi-tech services to assist the neighbouring medical institutions, such as Wrexham Maelor Hospital. The brick building also houses a cafe in the adjoining glazed atrium.

Bryn Offa (Welsh for 'Offa's Hill') is a local-authority housing estate in the south-western suburbs of the city of Wrexham, in Wrexham County Borough, north-east Wales in the community of Offa, and is close to the Wrexham Maelor Hospital. The main route through Bryn Offa is the A525 road to Ruthin Road. The estate is situated next to Ysgol Clywedog (formerly known as Ysgol Bryn Offa, or Bryn Offa High School), and the Shrewsbury-Chester railway line. The community of Offa is named after Bryn Offa.

Cefn Albion Football Club is a Welsh football club representing the village of Cefn Mawr in Wrexham County Borough. The club was founded in 2013 and plays in the Ardal Leagues North East, in the third tier of the Welsh football league system.

The Turf Hotel, also known as The Turf, is a public house in Wrexham, Wales, located on the corner of Wrexham A.F.C.'s Racecourse Ground, it has been a meeting place for Wrexham's fans for over 150 years. It was the only pub in the United Kingdom to be built inside the grounds of a football club and is now the oldest public house at any sport stadium in the world.

Wrexham University (Welsh: Prifysgol Wrecsam; Welsh pronunciation: [priːvˈəsɡɔl ˈrɛksam]) is a public university in the north-east of Wales, with campuses in Wrexham, Northop and St Asaph. It offers both undergraduate and postgraduate degrees, as well as professional courses. The university had 6,045 students in 2019/20. The earliest predecessor of the university was the Wrexham School of Science and Art (WSSA), established in 1887, which after several mergers became the North East Wales Institute of Higher Education (NEWI) in 1975. The institute became a full member of the University of Wales in 2004. In 2008 it was granted full university status and renamed Glyndŵr University (Prifysgol Glyndŵr) after Owain Glyndŵr, a fifteenth-century Welsh leader who was born near Wrexham and suggested the establishment of universities in Wales. The term "Wrexham" was later added to the existing name in 2016, until the university adopted its current name in late 2023. The university's School of Creative Arts operates the Wall Recording Studio on its Plas Coch campus, the former home of Calon FM community radio station.

The Racecourse Ground (Welsh: Y Cae Ras), known for sponsorship reasons as the STōK Cae Ras (or STōK Racecourse), is a football stadium in Wrexham, Wales. It is the home of Wrexham A.F.C. It is the world's oldest international football stadium that still hosts international matches, having hosted Wales' first home international match in 1877, and has hosted more Wales international matches than any other ground. The record attendance at the ground was set in 1957, when Wrexham hosted a match against Manchester United in front of 34,445 spectators.The Racecourse Ground is the largest stadium in north Wales and the fifth largest in Wales. The ground is sometimes used by the Football Association of Wales for home international games. The ground has also been used by North Wales Crusaders rugby league club, Scarlets rugby union club and Liverpool Reserves. In the early days, the ground was used for cricket and horse racing. Concerts returned to the Racecourse in 2016 when Stereophonics performed. Its sponsorship name was effective from 1 July 2023, following a sponsorship deal with STōK Cold Brew Coffee.

Offa is a community and electoral ward in Wrexham County Borough, Wales, covering most of the south-western portion of the city of Wrexham. It is bordered by the communities of; Rhosddu, and Caia Park to the north, Abenbury to the east, Esclusham, and Marchwiel to the south, and Broughton, Coedpoeth, and Gwersyllt to the west.

Wrexham Cemetery (Welsh: Mynwent Wrecsam) is a Victorian garden cemetery in Wrexham, North Wales, which served as the main burial site for the city. It opened in 1876, to the park-like designs of Yeaman Strachan, while its grade II listed chapels and lodge were designed by William Turner. The cemetery was laid out to serve as Wrexham's unofficial first park, while initially arranging graves by social class, now confined to the Victorian section of the cemetery. It contains memorials dedicated to servicemen from the World Wars, with a dedicated Polish servicemen memorial. It was also one of the first sites in Wrexham allowing burials to non-conformists, with it being not directly associated with one established church. The cemetery is listed on the Cadw/ICOMOS Register of Parks and Gardens of Special Historic Interest in Wales. It was extended in 1890 and again by the 1960s, which form its modern (non-Victorian) sections. It underwent a refurbishment in 2016–2018, however has since limited new burial plots due to limited space. A World War II mortuary, only one in North Wales, was only re-discovered on the site in 2019.
