Rhu is a closed railway station located in the village of Rhu, in Argyll and Bute, Scotland, on the east shore of Gare Loch. It is located towards the southern end of the West Highland Railway.

Rosneath House was a substantial mansion in Dunbartonshire of note both as the home of Princess Louise, Duchess of Argyll and as the military base where Operation Torch was planned. The site lies on a peninsula looking over the Gare Loch to Helensburgh.

Rhu (; Scottish Gaelic: An Rubha [ən ˈrˠu.ə]) is a village and historic parish on the east shore of the Gare Loch in Argyll and Bute, Scotland. The traditional spelling of its name was Row, but it was changed in the 1920s so that outsiders would pronounce it correctly. The name derives from the Scots Gaelic rubha meaning point. The parish of Row, containing also the town of Helensburgh and most of the village of Garelochhead, was formed out of Roseneath and Cardross in 1643–48. It lies north-west of the town of Helensburgh on the Firth of Clyde, in Argyll & Bute, and historically in the county of Dunbartonshire. Like many settlements in the area, it became fashionable in the 19th century as a residence for wealthy Glasgow shipowners and merchants. It has its own Community Council, which covers both Rhu and Shandon.

Ardencaple Castle, also known as Ardincaple Castle, and sometimes referred to as Ardencaple Castle Light, is a listed building, situated about 1 statute mile (1.6 km) from Helensburgh, Argyll and Bute, Scotland. Today, all that remains of the castle is a tower, perched on the edge of a plateau, looking down on a flat tract of land between it and the shore of the Firth of Clyde. The original castle was thought to have been built sometime in the 12th century, and part of the remains of the original castle were said to have existed in the 19th century. Today, that sole remaining tower is used as a navigational aid for shipping on the Firth of Clyde. Because of its use as a lighthouse the tower has been called Ardencaple Castle Light.

Ardencaple Park was a football ground in Helensburgh, Scotland. It was the home ground of Helensburgh F.C. during their time in the Scottish Football League.

Rosneath naval base was a naval base, constructed on the Rosneath peninsula, Argyll and Bute, Scotland. close to the village of Rosneath. The construction of the base started in July 1941, in response to American expectations that they would be shortly entering World War II. In June 1945, the base was decommissioned, then fell into disuse and was finally closed in 1948.

Rosneath (Ros Neimhidh in Gaelic) is a village in Argyll and Bute, Scotland. It sits on the western shore of the Gare Loch, 2 miles (3 kilometres) northwest of the tip of the Rosneath Peninsula. It is about 2.4 miles (4 kilometres) by road from the village of Kilcreggan, which is sited on the southern shore of the peninsula, on the Firth of Clyde. The Gare Loch narrows at Rosneath to under half a mile (around 600 metres) at a place known as the Rhu Narrows, after the village of Rhu on the eastern shore of the loch.Rosneath Bay to the south of the village curves eastward to Castle Point, near the site of the former Roseneath Castle, in the grounds of the former Rosneath House which are now occupied by Rosneath caravan park. The coast turns south past Culwatty Bay to Rosneath Point at the tip of the peninsula, which is directly north of Princes Pier in the large town of Greenock, 2 miles (3 kilometres) distant on the southern shore of the Firth.

Faslane Platform railway station or Faslane Junction Platform railway station was a temporary private railway station located near the Stuckendoff PoW camp, Shandon, Argyll and Bute, Scotland. Opened in 1945 by the LNER in connection with the construction of the Loch Sloy Hydro-Electric facility and was located on the Shandon side of the Chapel Burn and recorded to be out of use by around 1949 in the British Railways era.

Lomond School is a private, co-educational, day and boarding school in Helensburgh, Argyll and Bute, Scotland. Lomond School is, currently, the only day and boarding school on the west coast of Scotland. It was formed from a merger in 1977 between Larchfield School (founded 1845 and previously called Larchfield Academy) and St Bride's School for Girls (founded 1895).Lomond School primarily teaches to the Scottish Education System, but in pupils' senior years (S5 & S6) at the school they can move into one of the International Baccalaureate programmes. The IB programmes were introduced in August 2021.It is a member school of the Headmasters' and Headmistresses' Conference.The principal of the school is Johanna Urquhart, who took over from the previous headmaster, Simon Mills, in August 2014.

Portkil is a village on the north shore of the Firth of Clyde in Argyll and Bute, Scotland, and is at the south end of the Rosneath Peninsula.

The West Kirk (since 2015 called Helensburgh Parish Church) is a Church of Scotland parish church on Colquhoun Square in Helensburgh, Argyll, Scotland. Designed by James Hay, in 1853, it is designated as a Category B listed building by Historic Environment Scotland.In 2011 the church united with St Columba Church to become St Andrew's Kirk. The St Columba Church building became The Tower arts centre.In 2015 St Andrew's Kirk united with Park Church to become Helensburgh Parish Church. In 2016 the Park Church building became the Buddhist Meditation Centre of Scotland. Since December 2015 the Parish Minister is the Reverend David T. Young BA, BD Min (Hons), MTh, RNR.

Helensburgh (; Scottish Gaelic: Baile Eilidh) is a coastal town on the north side of the Firth of Clyde in Scotland, situated at the mouth of the Gareloch. Historically in Dunbartonshire, it became part of Argyll and Bute following local government reorganisation in 1996.
